Skyrimfloo Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Oh, thats nice. I would miss having to answer to an innkeeper, though. Honestly, This mod is one my favorites, so I wish that issue was fixed...
korialstraszbob Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Kori, I want to report on the problem with random quests not being started when using the latest version of the RP. I had the same issue as tyuizx, and after I had the massege "no quest was started" I checked in MSM menu for "Currently Registered Random Quest". The number was zero, so I "check for new quests" option and open again Quest menu but it was still zero. I also have a suggestion for future updates. Could you, please, add the option to decline these new random quests with the inn keeper like with orc and fan quests. ok the only reason i see that happens is when you did not install skse 1.7 but just to verify it. Can you please enable papyrus logging and then run the new quest check again and then upload your papyrus.0.log here? So, as I ask once in a while... Are passive requests working properly, or should I go back to my cave using the bugfixed old version? >_> It is fixed but you need a new game if you used a version pre 1.03 as i needed to change some quest metadata which gets stored inside your save.
Vyxenne Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Stuff The working only gets triggered when your follower is sandboxing. as the working scene gets triggered by the story manger. As for the CTD. unfortuantly you papyrus log doenst show anything usefull. but i have a quest do you use the free floating camera thingemabob ? If so it a known issue that can cause CTD in some specific instances. You also could up the time Papyrus has to run its script. it inside the Skyrim.ini i use the following value with a E-1230v3 and 8GB Ram. [Papyrus] fUpdateBudgetMS=25000 fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=25000 fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=10000 iMinMemoryPageSize=256 iMaxMemoryPageSize=750 iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=85886080 bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation=0 bEnableProfiling=0 Thanks, Kori, I will edit my skyrim.ini per the above- it should be fine for me too since I'm also running a quad-core Intel system with 8GB of RAM. As for killing the free camera, I'm careful to turn it off before the end of an animation, which is supposedly where it can cause the CTDs... are you saying that having it enabled in MCM can cause a CTD when an animation is called (before it actuallty even begins), and only on one specific quest? My CTDs are only on the Home Delivery quest, and only at the exact instant when I click [Yes] or [No] on the popup box "Use nearby bed?" I don't get any CTDs on freelance encounters in or out of an Inn, I don't get any CTD with the Companions quest which I've done twice now, I don't get any CTDs when initiating an animation with MatchMaker and of course the Military Camp quest won't even begin for me now, ever since that one time it went all to hell with my follower and a dragon (see previous post). Thanks again for this awesome mod and for your hard work.
nutluck Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Are you clicking yes or no to the beds? I know there has been issues with beds before. Clipping, falling thru the floor etc. Never heard of a CTD but wouldn't be shocked.
Skyrimfloo Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 So, as I ask once in a while... Are passive requests working properly, or should I go back to my cave using the bugfixed old version? >_> It is fixed but you need a new game if you used a version pre 1.03 as i needed to change some quest metadata which gets stored inside your save. I've tested it in a new game and unless I've been doing something wrong, it's not fixed. I've started a clean game today after updating and cleaning my mods, and I've been trying this on every update you make without any luck. If I set the solicitation to "Active", and I talk to an innkeeper, the quest starts as usual. When I switch to "Both", I start getting the message "A client is coming for you..." but no client ever comes. I've set the scanning radius to 2 meters, so the only NPCs that could trigger the mod are be the ones in the room, but none of them ever come to ask me anything. If I set the solicitation to "Both" before talking to the innkeeper, when I do, I get the dialogue but the quest never starts. I never get the wench clothes nor the "You're looking for clients" message, I never get the option to ask for clients, and if I talk to the innkeeper I only have the option to ask for job again, as if I hadn't before.
Vyxenne Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Well this isn't good for me. I just tried using a older version of RPT and still no menu. Not sure what or why there is such a sudden change with the menu. The quest is running I can talk to the Inn Keeper and get a job but just no MCM menu. Not really sure how to fix that. Hey, Nutsack I ran stopquest mf_prostitute_SimpleJob and stopquest mf_prostitute_handler, then saved, quit, and disabled RPT 1.05g with NMM. Then I deleted it with NMM, and then ran the RPT 'delete loose scripts' bat file in the Skyrim folder, and it found a lot of them so obviously NMM didn't do a very good job of deleting the mod. I then loaded a savegame, got the expected "this save relies on content that is no longer available" and told it to go ahead anyway. Then I walked around a bit, used the Wait function in game to wait 24 hours, then travelled to a couple of towns, then went inside Breezehome and saved twice and exited the game. I then ran the savegame cleaner on that last save, and was relieved that it found no orphan scripts or instances. I manually extracted RPT 1.06 into my game folder and ran BOSS to sort the load order. I loaded up my last save with no problems but had no MCM menu for RPT. I just left myself standing there in Breezehome with the idle camera whirling around my head for 20 minutes while I went and did other things. When I got back, I had the new MCM menu for RPT, complete with the new Quest options. Sadly, it didn't show my client count (said zero) even though SexLab menu knew it was 584 and triple Grand-Master. I set my RPT options the way I like them, turned off the automatic free camera and set my cooldowns to zero so I could pretty much take any available job any time I want. After about 30 minutes of freelancing in an Inn, the RPT menu in MCM suddenly "remembered" my client count and hard-won expertise ranks so I figured all jobs would now be available. Sadly, no Military Camp job was available, so I went on a Home Delivery. I completed it with no CTD for the first time in about a week. Time will tell how reliable it is, but completing even one with no CTD is a major improvement as you can see from my recent posts here. The reason all this wall of text may (or may not ) relate to your issue is that a thorough cleaning of every previous trace of RPT before installing 1.06 is what made my installation work better, even though Kori says we don't need to do that for post-1.03 upgrades. I did it out of sheer desperation and I'm hoping it might work for you as well.
nutluck Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 yeah I fixed mine as well somewhat similar to you. I ended up uninstalling everything. Then play for a bit with out, make a clean save. exit and then put 1.6 on again and then it started working again on a new character. After that it repearred on all my saves as well. I do agree it looks like the problem is some of the loose files are getting left behind or at least it seems that way.
Vyxenne Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 So, as I ask once in a while... I never get the wench clothes nor the "You're looking for clients" message, I never get the option to ask for clients, and if I talk to the innkeeper I only have the option to ask for job again, as if I hadn't before. That's very strange, that's exactly what is happening to me, only in my case it's the Military Camp job that never starts. I get the right dialog from the Innkeeper when I ask if she has any more Military Camp jobs, but once I accept the job nothing else happens. No co-worker appears, no quest objective text or map marker appears, and when I click on the Innkeeper again all she has for dialog is 'are you still offering work?' as though I had never taken the quest. This happened to me with version 105.g and now 1.06 so it's not a version issue, and it has persisted through a thorough uninstall and cleaning to root out all traces of RPT before installing 1.06. In my case it all started to fail when I recruited a follower as a wench (huge mistake and pointless if you aren't running a mod to allow her to sandbox, as I just found out yesterday) and took a Military Camp job with her, which unfortunately went to hell in a handbasket once we got there (see my previous post about it in this thread if you're interested in how it failed.) That was a version ago and it's still broken. Very odd how an issue like that can persist through a complete removal and deletion of the mod plus cleaning the savegame.

I'm omw in-game to see if Military Camps are working today. My fingers, toes, eyes and boobs are crossed. ( . Y . )
Vyxenne Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Well, after all I did, I just tried a Home Delivery and got a CTD when it was time to start an animation. Here's my log. I guess I'm done with Skyrim unless I can get this working. Please, if somebody knows something I haven't tried, let me know. VyxennePapyrusLog-2014-04-02_1.7z

It tries to load, but after about 5-6 seconds it just drops to desktop without loading (tried 3 different saves plus "New"). When I change iMaxMemoryPageSize=750 to iMaxMemoryPageSize=768 (because 750 isn't a normal binary number) and remove iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=85886080 completely, the game will load and play. Of course, RPT is still broken (see my last post), but the game at least loads and plays. Thanks-
nutluck Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I really have no idea what would be causing your CTD's. I don't know enough about reading papyrus logs yet to be much help. It seems odd you keep getting crashes on home quests but other stuff seems to work.

Also, if you're haven't already, switch to skse 1.7 alpha or use ssme while you're waiting for 1.7's final release. That will solve the majority of ctds you get.

Been using SKSE 1.70 since the first day this mod required it. And I tried 3 times with the same result each time. Thanks for the revelation that it may be SexLab causing the CTDs though- that makes sense since they ALWAYS occur when I initiate an animation using the Home Delivery quest. I'll uninstall/reinstall SexLab and see if that does anything.
Bullw Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Sup! Played around with the mod today, Home Quest, Military Camp and thief quest work fine. Though have a problem just got the horse quest, and i can't calm the horse, it just keeps attacking and i can't speak/"E" with it either, the icon pops up, but nothing happens when i press E.

Vyxenne Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Unlike all my whining about RPT not working for me, here's a tip that does work! How to recruit a follower 1. Give her a Sanctified Amulet of Dibella, a pair of the correct boots (the ones the Innkeeper gives you) and some Tavern Clothes. You can use the regular Trade dialog to do this since she's a follower. No mod required to do this part. NOTE for you nit-pickers: Yes, I know that we really only have to give Wenches the Sanctified Amulet, and let them ply their lovely trade in full armor with weapons dangling. The only ones who would like THAT cheap plan are Uthgerd the Unbroken and Mjoll the Lioness, since they probably haven't removed their steely armors in years... but for us girly types, we need to dress the part even when it's not strictly required. 2. Find out the RefID of the Sanctified Amulet of Dibella. Like all items added to the game by mods, the first two digits in the item's RefID depend on the load order of that mod, so open the console and enter help "sanctified amulet" 0 to get the actual ID of the Amulet in YOUR game. 3. Make her equip the 3 items. I wrote a batch file named SlutUp (with no extension or else it won't work) with the following 3 lines and placed it in my game folder where TESV.exe is: equipitem nn0141ee equipitem d191f equipitem d1921 The first item is the Sanctified Amulet of Dibella, so use the first two digits you got in step 2 above instead of the 'nn' I'm showing. Now open the console and click on your follower. You should see her RefID on the screen. If not, keep clicking on her until you do, the mouse-clicking in console is somewhat wonky. Once she is targeted in the console, either hand-type the 3 lines above or run the batch file if you made one. The way you run a batch file in-game is to enter bat slutup or bat <whatever you named your batch file if you didn't use slutup> in the console. 4. Close the console and voilà! She's ready to go to work! 5. Now that she's dressed, you have to make her sandbox to get her to work. Either tell her to Relax (a follower mod is required for this) or dismiss her. How to recruit a non-follower NPC 1. Pick a non-quest-related NPC. If you recruit one who is involved with a quest, your mileage may definitely vary. Papyrus may just implode. 2. Give her the same 3 items as listed in #1 above. The only way to do it is to reverse-pickpocket her. WARNING!!! Save your game first! If you get caught pickpocketing in a highly-populated public place like, um, oh, I don't know, say, just hypothetically, The Winking Skeever at 7:48 PM or so, the guards will immediately be called, and Erdi... um, I mean, the hypothetical NPC you were hypothetically trying to reverse-pickpocket, could be killed when your loyal follower sees her screaming at you and kills her outright with one stab to her perky li'l butt. Don't ask me how I know this. Hypothetically. 3. Make her equip the items. You can use the exact same commands (or the same batch file) as you did with a follower as long as you have your NPC targeted in the console. So slut her up as detailed in step 3 above. 4. She will immediately go to work if it's the right time of day- 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM or so, game time. Notes for the detail-oriented Nothing looks sexier than a Wench plying her trade wearing Tavern Clothes, Boots, a Sanctified Amulet of Dibella and a Steel Mace on her shapely hip. Also, many followers have their own "outfits" which may or may not be displaced by the SlutUp items. For example, my Vixen's default outfit is the Temptress Outfit plus Vixen Sleeves, and making her equip the SlutUp items does NOT displace all of her default outfit. Sadly, neither of her default items show in her inventory when you try to trade with her, so you have to use the console to find out their RefIDs so you can tell her to take them off. Here's how you make any of your Wenches unequip items that you don't want them to wear while working for you: 1. Open the console and target your wench. 2. Enter showinventory 3. Use PgUp/PgDn to scroll through the now-exposed list of all items they have, including the previously-hidden ones. Jot down the RefIDs of the ones you want them to remove. Leading zeroes may be omitted. 4. Enter each item to be unequipped into the console, like this: unequipitem nnnnnnnn Replace nnnnnnnnn with the actual RefID of the particular item. 5. Close the console and watch the items vanish from your girls' lovely bodies. This is also great fun to do to those snooty people like the Radiant Raiments sisters who always snark at you about your outfit. I use this technique to strip them naked without risking getting pinched for pickpocketing them in public. Because I can. Since I want to bring my follower along on some fights and dungeon crawls, I had to have a way to switch her outfits back and forth quickly, so I made two batch files called SlutUpVixen and UnslutVixen. The first one explicitly unequips her armor because the SlutUp items don't displace the gloves. SlutUpVixen: unequipitem 23000d62 unequipitem 23000d63 unequipitem 23000d64 unequipitem 23001d8f unequipitem 1e000d88 unequipitem 1e000d88 unequipitem 3a01c7d1 unequipitem 3a01309c equipitem 130141ee equipitem d191f equipitem d1921 UnslutVixen: unequipitem d191f unequipitem d1921 equipitem 23000d62 equipitem 23000d63 equipitem 23000d64 equipitem 23001d8f equipitem 1e000d88 equipitem 1e000d88 If you are really paying attention here, you will notice that I'm unequipping and equipping item 1e000d88 twice. That RefID is her dual-wielded daggers. So I want to unequip and equip both of them even though only the main-hand one shows. Also, there are more items unequipped in SlutUpVixen than are re-equipped in UnslutVixen. The reason for that is that the two 3a01nnnn items unequipped in SlutUpVixen are her default outfit, and I just want to unequip them when I send her to work. I couldn't care less about re-equipping them for fighting since her 4 armor pieces displace them anyway. And finally, you may have noticed that I'm equipping 130141ee in SlutUpVixen but not unequippiing it in UnslutVixen. That's because we both choose to wear our Amulets of Dibella with pride 24/7. Haelga is SO jealous of us...

magicrealm Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Does the Military camp now works with follower as companion ? Korial, i have some wishes at my list im sure everybody has: 1. can you delete elderly people from the house deliveries or at least make that optional in mcm ? (random sex mod does it, so it is possible) nobody likes to fuck 90 year old grandma with a dildo, really. 2. can you add dogjob to the standard repertoire of tavern clients, placing a dog in each tavern for that ? 3. can you add horsejob to the standart repertoire of house deliveries (at the stables) ? 4. can you let the pc choose the letter quest ? or a slider in mcm for the chance to appear 1-10 ( prison overhaul does it, so it is possible) nobody likes to repeat the same quest for the hope of getting the one he likes. i hope you regard this mr
RockMic Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Maybe a bug, when the customer wants the biss dialog box opens before the PC and asks for payment, but it overlaps the window of the bed, then the animation runs well, but in the end can not move the PC is locked.Since I'm not a genius of the console, I found that doing the cleaning Deffeat, resolve.
Bullw Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Really sorry for the double post, just felt like my question got a bit buried by some very informativ but long posts. Got an issue with the Horse Stable Quest, i can't calm the horse, pressing E don't work. Are you supposed to do something special (other than stripping, accually tried several variations, still can't activate the horse)? //Thx (again sorry for double)

Then the horse will attack and keep attacking till you are dropped below 80% health. Then it should calm down and the animations start shortly afterwards. Which version of RPT are you using? There was a bug with the stable bang quest that was only fixed in the last couple of updates.
Bullw Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 latest, going to try it now and make sure i wait till i get dropped below 80%
