hryh23k9823u Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Lother is it possible you have loose files from a previous version still floating around and that is the issue? Because that is my first thought from that, but it is admitedly just a guess. Yes that was the problem preciselly, which I solved completely deleting all references from mf radiant prostitution from my save, and then installing the mod like a first time.
nutluck Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Ah ok so you did, I missed that in your last post that you did that. Well glad you got it working.

Several quests all fall under the mysterious letter quest, you can only have one of those at a time and there is several possible ones.

Non Google Translator. Es sind 7 quest da jetzt auch die Hauslieferungs und Lagerjob aus der Konfig Datei gelesen werden. Es gibt 5 Random, 1 Haus und 1 Lager Quest also 7 insgesamt.

Slorm Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 This is a brilliant mod but it suffers (IMV) from one problem though not of this mod's making, and that is the game itself is awash with gold. I tend to roleplay my characters and aside from using LADL to start where you have to resort to some theft and prostitution in the early stages if using RND, once you've got some weapons and armour you can easily net 1000 gold or more from a dungeon if you loot thoroughly. So I was wondering if it would be possible to build in some sort of switch to drop the amount of gold the player gets from the game generally as tbh why would you sell your body when you can just as easily get gold through looting? Obviously if you're using the mod just to watch the animations then it doesn't matter, but if you rp then the reason for doing something does. Just an idea and I'm not sure if it's even possible

So I was wondering if it would be possible to build in some sort of switch to drop the amount of gold the player gets from the game generally as tbh why would you sell your body when you can just as easily get gold through looting? Well if you are using a mod such as defeat or submit, then a dungeon expedition could require as much leg spreading as a night of prostitution. Then you can weigh the pain and suffering from all that combat, vs. selling your body in a relatively clean inn. There can be plenty of RP reason to return to the inn rather than go on yet another dungeon crawl, even if it just she wants an easy night of it before risking her life in the dungeon again. I can easily see wanting to spend a couple of nights drinking and whoring before setting out on another risky adventure ... live life to the fullest before putting it on the line again. And getting stuck belted and plugged may make you crave the carnal pleasures all that more when released, and why not earn a little on the side while getting your fix?
Debaster Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34612/? I use this mod to change buying and selling rates
shinji72 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 There are a lot of ways to make the Skyrim economics harder, and thus making prostitution a sensible choice. First with a mod like Trade&Barter you can change the price of stuff you sell and buy. Then you can lower you carryweight (even setting values with console command. The right one is "modav carryweight" if I remember well). I've set mine to less than 100. So less stuff you can carry out of dungeons and less money you can get from it. Then mods like submit and SD+ have you robbed from your gold. Again avoiding the vanilla easily-rich system.

All quest use these to calculate the reward.
Slorm Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Thanks guys the trade&barter mod looks good I'll give that a go, even modded skyrim has too much gold at present and not enough useful stuff to spend it on Unfortunately SD+ doesn't take your stuff anymore as Skyrimll discovered a problem with it taking quest items, so you keep all your stuff now. I've always used Defeat but I'll have a look at Submit as in Defeat the steal option just seems to be armour and weapons rather than gold or other stuff.

According to someone who unlikes me knows how to read this things, that just meant that this data was no longer needed in my save game and was being discarded. Which obviously shouldn't happen. It probably remained like that when I uninstalled old versions in favour of the newest. Like the ingame mod update didnt work or something. Reinstalling from start (and deleting orphan scripts related to RP before re adding the mod) solved it apparently. Also I was using in this save 0.81b maybe its too old for a direct update to 1.06, and the orphant data left by it renders 1.06 inoperable. Now after I isntalled RP (lastest) without previous traces my save doesn't apparently discard needed objects now so the mod should work and apparently it does work now it seems. Hmm, I've gotten the issue with the bard many times, but nothing that prevented people from asking my character using the legacy version. I hadn't noticed that the mod lets you switch the whore clothes (as I was more worried about getting this error solved) but that's nice, so thanks for the clarification. And Lother, my problem is that it hasn't been working on a new save using the latest version, so there's nothing to do with it to get it any cleaner. I started my game yesterday and I don't even care about doing it again, so as I'm saying, if it does work for anyone else I just can't seem to put the finger on what's conflicting with it. I mean, it's not that I don't get people to ask my character, it's that if I so much as ask the inkeeper for whore job while the settings are in passive mode, the quest doesn't even start. [EDIT] Just tested it again. I enabled first "Both", tried again, then "Passive", when asking an innkeeper for job, the quest acted the three times as if started but I wasn't given the tavern clothes and the innkeeper still had the job offer dialogue as if I hadn't gotten it yet. When I switched it to "Active", this time when I asked the innkeeper for job I got four instances of the wench clothes (4 clothes + 4 boots), as if accounting for the previous times I had asked. I wore the outfit with no other equipment and made sure I had the option to ask the clients. I switched to "Both" again, this time after the quest was running already, and walked around the clients in the tavern (3 meter radius). Never got anybody to ask. Then I talked to one dude, offered sex, the dude rejected, then I got the passive solicitation to trigger right after. New game, latest version, no loose scripts, etc. I don't really know what might be causing this, specially if other people is reporting that it does work. For the time being, I'm going to start a new save without the mod and save somewhere with an inn, and I'll check for solutions. If the mod isnt starting the quest I can only think of 4 reasons: not using skse 1.7, skse 1.7 not installed propertly, the mod not working propertly, something else not working propertly :-) (yeah very useful hint I know...) I got SKSE 1.7 and it seems to be properly installed, at least nothing SKSE related is giving issues. I would suppose the problem is the mod, but if other people is reporting that it works, I'm at loss. I'm going to try disabling mods again, but unless "Cows give you milk" conflicts with this one, most of the mods I'm running are the typical popular ones that most people use. When I get bored in a couple hours I'll try running the game with as little mods as possible and let's see what's up.
xboronx Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 You can also roleplay having an expensive hobby. For starters jewelry and some fine clothes like from Nikitas lingerie shop are expensive, or you could become an alcoholic and try to buy those expensive alcohol bottles there are with RND. Later you can either build a harem or marry and spend lots of gold there. And once it is out i think Goubo's Dirty Deeds will be one of the best gold sinks in the game
Slorm Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 You can ajust the gold you earn in RP in the MCM Menu. just lower the base gold for the quest or increase the share the inn keeper gets. All quest use these to calculate the reward. The problem isn't the gold you earn from RP but rather that the world of Skyrim itself is awash with gold which makes gold a bit irrelevant. The trade&barter mod helps a lot and I've just started testing High Level Enemies mod which I hope will up the difficulty of the game without making Dragon and Bosses too hard to defeat, TBH I'm trying to get the game to need RP just to buy some hide armour and an iron sword in the early game, vanilla skyrim is pathetically easy even at master level early in the game so I'm looking to try to smooth out the difficulty spikes

You don't start off with much and almost no gold to buy gear with.

germanicus Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Thanks for the fix although I didn't have passive solicitation problem. The one that I still have is the problem with idle NPC's wenches. Can't make it work at all. Did new saves, even new games, but it simply doesn't work. Don't know what to do. It is not a big deal, I love the mod very much, but since there is a fix for that I wish it will work now.

magicrealm Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 now i am really getting pissed up ! 5 grandmothers in a row in whiterun. tilma, olava, lillith, bergritte, fralia. plus the give up dialogue does not give the quest up, it must be deleted in mcm.
chajapa Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Might be looking for a spoiler here, but.... I've got these choices when I ask Hulda for work. Doesn't seem to come up in any of the quests. So.... what am I missing? Thanks
Skyrimfloo Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Upload new Version 1.06b: Inn Job: Fix a bug that broke passive solicitation after the first client Thanks for the update. I've tried it, and now I get the tavern clothes and the quest starts properly in "Passive" mode... but I'm still having issues with NPCs asking my character. As usual, She has to approach them first and reject them or be rejected for them to automatically ask her out afterwards. I'm going to try a new save with only the USKP, Alternate Start and this, and let's see if I get the same result with this update. [EDIT] Well, I've done that and I've gotten mixed results, but I'd say that the issue is not my mod list, unfortunately, or at least not entirely. The first time I tried, with solicitation set in "Both" mode, quest started as intended, got the wench clothes, was asked ny an NPC inmediately after the job dialog, which made me think it was working properly. I rejected it and walked around the inn but never got any request until I did the usual: ask somebody, reject, then got the solicitation inmediately after. I rejected this one again, the NPC got angry and went to rape me, but the game crashed. So I reloaded the save, tried again, and this time I didn't even get the wench clothes nor the dialogue of the innkeeper changed (she still offered work after giving it to me already). Whatever it is, either I'm installing the mod wrong, or the mod is still bugged, because I'm running with the bare minimun, not even graphic mods for Realvision ENB, and I'm still getting the same errors. Dumb question: Am I supposed to run that .bat file *after* installing the mod, so it does something to it, or that's just for uninstalling old version files?

Check your inventory to see if there's extra stuff in there. My experience with this is several versions old, but I remember having the same confusion until I noticed the extra stuff in my Misc inventory tab.
