To be 100% sure you can probably install the 54.3MB beta file and then the smaller patch over it.

I'll tell you in a second.

-------

The smaller patch file has a newer time stamp on the ESP so I think it would be better to install it over the current 2.05.002 file.

Player and nearby NPCs will automagically get a new schlong after Cleaning / Removing a schlong, if they are eligible for that

Will it correctly default to underwear if I'm only using one schlong though? And what about the UNP addon, will it default to underwar even though it shouldnt (although IIRC the underwear doesn't display on females so that's not a big issue)?

Also, one thing I forgot to mention with the 2.05.002 beta (I haven't tried the latest patch for it yet, the one that fixes the schlong item removal), the size 20 in the is only attainable by the player as far as I can tell. My follower refused to take a potion once he hit 10, don't know if this is intended or now.

The problem is that this post and update is the same version SOS - Schlongs of Skyrim - 2.05.002-BETA that I have installed so I am not sure what to install the other is for updating from the 2.04.006.7z  so I am a little confused...

Hi,

Just wanted to ask, is this definitely incompatible with EFF or is there a fix for the bug listed on the download page?

If not, is this okay with AFT? (I keep getting told not to use UFO because apparently it hasn't been updated in a long time.)

I've never had any issues using AFT and SOS together.  The EFF issue seems to be about followers not auto equipping better equipment given to them.  This same problem may occur with AFT, but AFT has an outfit management system where you can specify Standard, City, and/or Home outfit, and AFT will equip these outfits no matter what.  I use this feature (basically the only reason I use AFT - I rarely actually use more than one follower, they just seem to get in my way too much) and I have never seen the equipping issue using AFT.

That patch is basically there to update to the latest beta. You can either install v2.04.006+patch or v2.05.002beta+patch and you'll get the same thing. If you don't want to run the beta just install v2.04.006 and you're good to go, the difference is that the beta is using a better storage structure and this makes the schlongify process more efficient. It's still experimental so don't use it durring regular play just yet.

As far as I could tell the new storage system works. For the sake of trying to break it I updated it while being with a few male NPCs in the same cell and then proceeded to remove schlongs, give them potions and what not and from what I noticed things worked.

TY for the help on this mate...

To avoid any kind of confusion, I've added a new version for the BETA: 2.05.003-BETA, which is basically 2.05.002-BETA + its latest patch, which has the same fixes I did for the stable version (2.04.006), plus a new one

SOS - Schlongs of Skyrim - 2.05.003-BETA

I think the storage system is working fine. Need more beta-testers!

Thanks , much better ...and sorry about this its late and I'm tired from work I guess... :-/

I've just updated to 2.04.005.

I can't use the shift keys to bend the schlong on my male PC at all, even changing the key combinations don't do anything.

Getting erect using the spell or the mandrake potion simply doesn't let me bend at all, it's just stationary.

What version were you using before the update?

2.04.003

I saw the 'clean save' instructions that were intended for older versions of the mod. I actually had to end up doing this because even with the ski console command the mcm menu simply wouldn't play ball and show me that new 'restart SOS' option.

I've managed to fix it now though but only after going through the old 2.03.007 upgrade process, after doing that I was able to see and access the restart button and was able to control the knobs again. Oh well, guess it's that time of the month for my copy of Skyrim.

Hi again B3lisario, I have another question, do the recent updates to the mod include the custom race patch which is the 2.03.010b update?

Yes it was included in 2.03.012. The recent updates fixed other bugs with the shape potions.

There is a chain of events that may lead to this issue. Not sure if that's applicable to you unless you had this issue also with 2.04.003

There was a bug (since 2.03.10b, fixed in 2.04.005) that happened when you start a new game with SOS already installed. In that case, SOS scripts don't run properly after loading any future savegame: no reschlongification of actors and armors, "itty bitty" issue on followers and PC, also schlong clipping through custom armors.

In 2.03.015 I changed the bending keys so they are registered when you start the game, or when you load a savegame. So for those who had the previous bug, keys stopped to work.

Not having the "Restart SOS" in MCM menu is OK. That option is hidden unless you start a new SOS quest using >= 2.04.003 (IE: new game using >= 2.04.003, or complete reinstall / clean save using >= 2.04.003). This confused a lot of people, instead of hidden, I should make it visible but disabled.

It's hidden because your SOS quest is old and can't be restarted.

And without the "Restart SOS" option available, the only way of fixing the "new game" issue is doing a clean save.

After that your SOS installation will work better, and any future problem will be easier to solve.

On the topic of clean saves, can we just disable the mod, save and then re-enable? Or do whe have to follow a special procedure (stopquest console commands and such)?

Posted

I don't recommend doing a clean save unless there is a non-recoverable problem like the "new game" issue.

Anyway I'm currently working on a "Stop SOS" option for a safe mod reinstall / removal.

Update 2.04.007

  • Added "Remove SOS" option in MCM SOS main menu for safe uninstall or reinstall
  • Fixed a bug where a schlong shape potion on an already schlonged actor wasn't properly cleaning the old schlong
  • Fixed some issues with the "Restart SOS" MCM option

There is also a new 2.05.004-BETA version in the beta post with these changes.

I've added a new section with an uninstall procedure in the mod description.

I kind of feel bad for you b3lisario. It seems whenever I check new posts most of them are from people having issues with the mod. Stay strong b3! You're a good modder!

And the files aren't the same either (CRC mismatch). I know which one is the right version from what I downloaded, one has a more recent time stamp on the scripts. But I don't know which one it is on the download page, first one or the second one.

Not sure what to make of this post honestly.

I had a genuine issue that Belisario even addressed in a patch update.

Nowhere was Belisario's modding capability questioned.

B3l's doing a great job.  Many of the bugs he's stomping have been around since the initial public release of SOS.  Others that have cropped up because of changes with SKSE (no one's fault really) have also been stomped.

Of the bugs that have been present since release, those only affect a very small number of users (Smurf and VP made sure of it); what we're seeing here is probably a vocal minority.

Be assured that this project has come a long way since VP's hand-off: bug fixes, compatibility patches, enhanced skeletons, 3D pubic hair, at least 3 new schlong shapes, full transgender support, werewolves (and soon to be vampires), vaginas (look in the Realistic genitals for CBBE thread).

That's a lot of work. I can only hope that VP doesn't put us all out of work (figuratively) when he releases SAM.

Thanks for the remove option. I had the problem SOS suddenly did not worked anymore (the always-undies-bug even it worked for over 30h hours...). But now - thanks to the remove option it seems - it's doing the job again.

How did you install the mod? Use the debug spell, what does it say? Check your papyrus log for errors.

Did you try the "Restart SOS" option before that?

BETA NEWS!

There is another version 2.05.005-BETA in the beta post (BTW is there anyone using it actively in his/her playthrough?)

Due to the new posibilities that StorageUtil offers, now SOS can handle uninstallation of schlong addons without using the "remove schlong" MCM option.

StorageUtil automatically cleans from the SKSE savegame the references of the uninstalled addons. This means less underwear issues, and no empty nor "<Missing schlong>" tabs in MCM menu.

The actors who lost his schlong will get a new one during the reschlongification process, right after loading the savegame.

Note that if you are also installing a new schlong, the new schlong won't be available during the first reschlongification. So the better method to swap schlongs:

- install the new schlong and load savegame

- wait for the schlong load message, save and exit

- uninstall the old schlong and load savegame

If you simply uninstall your only schlong, and install a new one, there won't be any schlong available during the reschlongification process and you will get underwear everywhere. Anyway you can easily fix just by traveling to another location, or saving and loading again.
