Farmthat Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 First time posting here and it's just to say: This is a ridiculously good mod, in so many ways. Keep up the good work, Veladarius!
rockitten Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Just wonder, how come all of those plugs, gags, ...etc only works on ONE PC/NPC. I tries to equip all my chicks with the same plug and pony boots, it turns out that only equipped on the first one (with those item lock in place messages). But if I equip the next chick with a different item (just a different colour one), it works, but only on her. Is that something wrong on my game or it is just how the script works?

You need to set the number of slotted NPC's to the number of NPC's you wish to equip in the Devious Devices MCM menu, as this is what enables NPC support for up to the number allowed by that setting. Allowing for many NPC's to be processed at the same time does cost a bit in terms of performance, so it is wise to set that number to only what you need at the moment. So it's a setting you may wish to change on the fly as required (especially if you are on a modest PC, perhabs less so if your gaming rig is a monster of a thing).

The reason I want all chicks wearing the same outfits is because my "game rig" has a 8 core i7 system with 16G ram but only an old 1G Ati7870 graphic card (it is about to be upgrade after Xmas). So, how should I set the slotted number then? Should I make it high? P.s. I am having 20+ followers ATM, all of them are those scripted custom voiced companions such as Anna NPC or Vilja................

I sold everything I had and bought a 7870, seems like maybe 2012. So I'm kind of hurt it's old already. OTOH I feel better knowing 8 gigs so far (since 2012) has been way too much RAM. And I doubt skyrim cares much more about 4 cores than I do (8 virtual, but who's counting). Then again, I feel like my crashes sometimes can be attributed to the graphics, or to the pony boots, pissing off the game with that loud clop-clop sound. If I *knew* one thing or another was the definite cause, I'd sell everything again to replace the offending item. But no gigs of ram or sound-card will help, I don't think. Well unless I submit and buy all intel-NVidia. Someday.

Heh.. if you feel your system is not quite up to it, then you definately should not have 20+ NPC's following you around! Skyrim only allows for one follower, and most follower-overhaul mods only allow for 4 max, so i'm going to assume you don't actually use all 20+ at any one time (and if you do, then you should stop doing that, that's just begging for the game to run unstable and crash!). The MCM option only affects the number of NPC's visible on your screen at any given time, not every NPC that exists in the world, so you need to set it to only how many NPC's you can expect to have visible on your screen at any given time (or less than that, if you are having performance/stability issue with it). And guys, don't feel too bad about the state of your rigs, the fact that you can play this mod at all shows it's better than mine, because i can't. I've never even seen the textures i made for it in action, i had to develop them by temporarily overlaying them on the DDa meshes to create them, it was the only way i could do it, as the CD shop ontop of it's other DD/ZAP/SL requirements is asking more than my rig can put out

Ops, that should be 5870.....>< And I use EFF, which allows you to have 100 followers, and I am getting all custom voiced followers (and nearly all custom voiced quest mods) in one go so that I can enjoy all those quest aware dialogs in one play through rather than playing that stupid vanilla main quest again and again...... One thing I know is that too script heavy will make something don't work. For example, since I have so many followers all in high heels, immersive sounds and CoT & SFO, if I have sex in open space, the sex scene will be stuck at fore play and never move on to the penetration. But it is all working fine if it is in a buildings........... What I don't know is that, does this sort of script freezing is due to CPU/ram, HDD read&write speed, or is it because of the graphic cards (which do the jobs for animations and HDT)??? In my soon to happen upgrade, I will probably get a 970, what I am thinking is that should I get a SSD for the vanilla game +mod organizer as well? P.S. I already have a SSD boot drive

For me? Nah, i don't use any follower mods and i don't use followers, ever. They can never keep up, they always get in my way, they don't work at all with Stealth tactics which is what my playstyle is mostly about, so they are more a burden to me than any help. Well except if i play the Dawnguard quest, but that's because the game won't let me refuse to have Serana along. If i could, i would tell her to go put her feet up whilst i get things done.

Check your log for repeating errors as those will be a huge drain on papyrus, even things that are working can still cause issues.
RJLbwb Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 The Elisif Chasity belt quest she goes off into space and freezes at the very last cut scene, leveling the quest unfished and the actual quest number for "Favor For the Master 3" has eluded me. Anyone know what it is?

Anyone know what it is? The last scene is her leading you to the door and opening it at which point you get control back. If you had control back before that then go to her by the door and disable your controls in the MCM menu and it should finish out.
Damoriva Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 If you're having trouble getting devices to "lock" onto followers, try dropping the item on the ground then picking it up. I have no idea why, but that seems to work for me. Also if you're carrying multiples of one item (say, three Tormentor plugs), try storing the duplicates.
Veladarius Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 i'm having a problem withe the mod. The first time i entered the shop all was ok,but later, after complete some vanila quest, i entered again and there isn't any slave, only Tessa, The Master, and Nissa, no more NPC Any solution? They may be in the basement, they get stuck in the doorway at times.

If you had control back before that then go to her by the door and disable your controls in the MCM menu and it should finish out. Let me restate that; let the quest proceed normally, my character follows her to the door and they both stand there forever. I've activated my character, open the door, Jarl still doesn't do anything. I've activated my character, walked across the room, disactivated, character walks to the Jarl, they both stand there forever. I've restarted the quest, twice. The Jarl even does the open the door animation, but the quest does not advance EDIT found the fix - load the save before the quest, not accept quest. Thanks for the help
Stephbx Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I have a problem with the slave retrivial quest. When i give the sealed journal to Ulfric, i get a message to go back to the slave but i still have the part to give the documents to Ulfric active in my log. Even after bringing back the slave to the Master, the quest is still active pointing to Ulfric.

Ravenvampir Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 i have Problem with one of the delivery quests. I must make a delivery to Saffir, the Problem is she just sits in her House all the Time an when I enter she tells me to leave and i have no option of talking to her. Then after i waited some hours i can talk to her but she will be angry because the delivery is late. Then she gags my Pc und back at the shop the Master Puts Belts on my Pc. Is this intentional that you cannot make this delivery on time or is it a bug? And when the Master puts you into chasity how can i remove it. i Paid her money but the the items are still equipped and she won´t sell me keys

Then after i waited some hours i can talk to her but she will be angry because the delivery is late. Then she gags my Pc und back at the shop the Master Puts Belts on my Pc. It's not really a bug, just unfortunate time calculation. The mod checks to see how long it takes you to deliver by taking the current in-game time and adding x hours, more hours for longer distances. The mod doesn't ignore night hours, so you can get stuck in a situation where you are given the quest at 22:00, arrive at midnight, and have to wait 10 hours to talk to her which is well over the time limit which is like 3-6 hours for whiterun. Not sure if Vel plans to change it, for now just make sure you don't ask for a delivery quest in the later hours, or abuse quick save like the rest of us. Is this intentional that you cannot make this delivery on time or is it a bug? And when the Master puts you into chasity how can i remove it. i Paid her money but the the items are still equipped and she won´t sell me keys Master doesn't sell keys to get you out of CD restraints, she only sells the normal keys for normal DD and DDx items, and you need to meet certain criteria to buy them from her, such as dominance or high personal relationship with her. Only master can unlock CD restraints. Did you pay off the whole debt, or just part of it? You can check your debt progress at the book in the shop. If you paid off the whole debt, and the items are still there, you have other issues and posting the papyrus log might help us figure out why the items weren't getting removed. If you think the items are bugged you can remove them from the skyui menu as a manual fix.

I remember you said this already, but I was answering the question relating to CD, and using a 3rd mod to get around some aspect of a mod feels like cheating, especially since it isn't really a bug; Vel wrote it intentionally to work in this manor. If I did use a mod to get around this, It wouldn't be Puppet Master. Puppet master felt like it had no immersion. If there was a way to integrate gameplay to allow you to talk to her during the night I might consider using it as a mod, but puppet master doesn't feel anymore immersive than opening console and adding the NPC to a faction with typed command, it feels like a debug interface, like I'm using Garry's mod.

The trials and tribulations of the bondage delivery slave. The one that irked me the most was being asked to deliver packages to a locked Temple of Dibella where they don't wait very long to attack trespassers. I'm not sure I would have actually succeeded with that delivery if I didn't have Defeat installed (i.e. surrendering calmed them down long enough for me to complete the transaction and get the hell out of there).

They should not immediately attack you in the temple, the standard dialogue for them should give you a chance to take the quest to find the Sybil. As for for the time to get to Whiterun it is set that <3 hours you get a bonus while >9 hours (3x the early time) is late. I don't intend to change the setup for the quest at this time.
Verstort Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 3.75 Forced bug: Free trial with CDxFTDoneBefore >= 2 has missing dialog Wanted to see if there was more dialog, or a different scene if I tried > 1, but wanted to skip the time needed to go through two rounds of FT to try it. Setting that variable alone to 2 or greater results in the dialog @ standing in front of display slave being broken, you get standard master dialog instead of FT scene dialog. I'm guessing that variable was meant to be a binary 0/1 that isn't supposed to go above 1 because there are only two dialogs, "has" and "has not" taken part already? You could change the dialog check to != 0 to cover everything instead, although it's only an issue with nosey testers like me.

Originally it was going to use the variable for the belt status but I changed the way that variable was being used (it has a range of -1 to 6).
