el-douanier Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Guess I'll stay at 3.2 then. Even if I start a new game with 3.3, I'm afraid I'll have to do the same with 3.4 and so on.
unwashed biomass Posted March 7 Posted March 7 As new SLSF Fame comments rolled out, i tried SLSF Reloaded today. 3.3 - new game and have issues, while exhibitionist and tats fame get increased, all fame from sex events and slut fame (using SLACS which is properly recognized on mcm page) does not no matter what. Also SLSF Fame Comments mod isn't recognized on mcm page. Tried 3.1 version and fame recongition issues were opposite - sex related fame were increased but passive ones weren't - also same problem with SLSF Fame Comments set as disabled. In both versions fame commets probability part of mcm is greyed out. Can provide papyrus logs from both version if needed.

ToeCutter23 Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Would it be reasonable and viable to include means to manually set/adjust Fame (unless I missed that)?
skyrim_sailor Posted March 10 Posted March 10 As of 3.2.0, 3.3.0, 3.4.0, tattoo based extra fame gain did not work for me at all. There is a fame category assigned and tatto is visible according to SLSFR but no fame is gained. After every update I started new game. Does anybody else have this problem? I'd appreciate a fix greatly, or is there something I missed that causes it to not to work? The tattoo subcategory is set to none, and it does not matter if the character has slot 32 armor equipped or not. Also, it would be nice if periodic fame gain time would be MCM-adjustable, eg. right now guide says 30 ingame minutes but would be better if users could change this according to their taste. Same thing applies for fame category gains. Having exact MCM control over which fame category is gained with tattoos (ie. tattoo fame only, or some other user selected category only, or maybe multi selection allowing to select the exact fame categories to be gained at the same periodic increase with one tattoo slot). SLACS2 support could be considered as well.

You're not supposed to gain fame from a tattoo that can't be seen. 1 hour ago, skyrim_sailor said: Also, it would be nice if periodic fame gain time would be MCM-adjustable, eg. right now guide says 30 ingame minutes but would be better if users could change this according to their taste. No. Variable update times are far too difficult to optimize, and the rest of the mechanics have already been designed around a 30 minute schedule. I would have to completely rewrite the mod for this to happen, and at this point that is definitely not worth it. You have plenty of other options to adjust the "speed" of the mod to your liking. 1 hour ago, skyrim_sailor said: Same thing applies for fame category gains. Having exact MCM control over which fame category is gained with tattoos (ie. tattoo fame only, or some other user selected category only, or maybe multi selection allowing to select the exact fame categories to be gained at the same periodic increase with one tattoo slot). You already have most of this. Read the guides. As for multiple fame types, that is also a bit too much. The visibility manager is already rather heavy and struggles to keep up with many tattoos. Trying to add multiple fame types on top of that is both a nightmare to get working in the MCM due to limited space and too intensive for Papyrus. 1 hour ago, skyrim_sailor said: SLACS2 support could be considered as well. This mod has an unintuitive, and not very Mod Author friendly system to track cum, so currently this is also more difficult than it's worth for me to do. Edited March 10 by NymphoElf

Lokikun Posted March 11 Posted March 11 (edited) Will we have the functions stubs to compile against? Cyberdev Posted March 11 Posted March 11 just a question I'm sorry you're getting issues with ppl using your code without permission, but wouldn't this hurt your project in the future if you end up not wanting to work on this mod anymore and someone wants to make a mod or a patch in the future that needs this?..would they have to contact you personally to gain access if you granted permission to use your code to make their own or are they sol?

If I abandon the mod I'll release the source code again. For the time being, Mod Authors interested in utilizing this mod will have to contact me to get the API source code. I will no longer give out the main source code. 2

Maybe I can then be more helpful with information. Anyway if you test this periodic fame gain on your side and you say it works then that is perfectly enough for me, it means then something is broken in my setup. I am perfectly fine with this as I am used to fixing my own problems anyway and don't want to burden others unnecessarily. On 3/10/2026 at 10:58 PM, NymphoElf said: Well, it SHOULD matter. Yeah, I read the fame gain guide, but if I read it correctly, it explains that it chooses randomly and only one fame category increase is given at the periodic increase event. From what I gathered from a previous gameplay when this part of the mod still worked for me, the "Tattoo" fame seemed to be hardcoded, so if you set any other fame category to your tattoo slot, you effectively only have 50% chance to gain that specific fame. Minor thing really, again it is just something that would be nice to have better control over which fame you exactly get.

Maybe I misunderstood the way it is supposed to work. It depends on if you are also using Sexlab Survival or Advanced Nudity Detection. If you are using neither, then it will only check if you're wearing something on Slot 32. Otherwise, it will check if you're wearing "bikini" armor from SLS (which will not cover most body tattoos, if any - I can't remember at the moment) or if you have certain nudity condition from AND, which should be self-explanatory (ie: Showing Chest means "Chest" tattoos can be seen). 1 hour ago, skyrim_sailor said: Yeah, I read the fame gain guide, but if I read it correctly, it explains that it chooses randomly and only one fame category increase is given at the periodic increase event. No, this isn't quite right. It doesn't only choose one. It chooses a random number of fame types among the number you are currently valid for. If you're ONLY valid for one fame type, then it should be guaranteed for that type to increase UNLESS the NPCs all fail IF they are all AT LEAST neutral to you, ASSUMING you have not made their odds of spreading fame 100%. If you're valid for two or more, then it's still possible to get all of them but NOT guaranteed. If no NPCs can see/detect you, then you will not gain fame. If you're in a "restricted" location, you will not gain fame. If you are in an unrecognized area, you will not gain fame. If you are considered Anonymous, you will not gain fame. ----------------------- All of this is explained in the guide, but I know it's a lot to read and digest if you're not used to things actually working in a logical manner (this is not a personal insult, many LL mods are simply outlandish and nonsensical). skyrim_sailor Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Thanks for the detailed reply. Since my original post I started to check the script source files and I realized I did not tell that I have AND installed (no SLS) and I have AND_ArmorTop_NoCover & AND_ArmorBottom_NoCover keywords on the slot 32 armor. SLSFR says the tattoo is visible so very likely that my problem is not visibility. I have dynamic anonymity setting turned on, so right now I think that anonimity could be the "culprit". I see in the .psc files you have quite exhaustive logging setup so I will see what can I do with that if I continue to have problems.
Bullfye Posted March 13 Posted March 13 So ... Sadly updating is out of the question for me ... Why do we need to start a new game updating from 1.30 ??? Sorry just don't understand the reason if you have the mod in a older version already ( Not that old anyway )

If being direct and factual is considered rude nowadays, then we may as well just push the button and wipe out humanity, because there isn't any hope for rationality or common sense any more. Starting a new game isn't the end of the world. I've trashed playthroughs with hundreds of hours on them without a second thought if it meant I'd have a version of a mod that was more stable or had more functionality than the version I was running. As NymphoElf said, it's not out of the question, you just don't want to. That's your choice. Just don't complain if something goes wrong.

I asked a simple question why starting a new game on a mod that I have installed just to update that Mod to a new version , she or He replied that to me , but after went on a all Rude dialogue like I was asking something bad , you understand what you want , I am not a sensitive person I just do not understand the reason to be hostile replying in Rude manners just cause someone asked a question , I make Mods and have some here as well and I never replied that way to no one ... SO jumping to defend her its ok and I might even understand it but do not understand why can't one just ask something to be treated as a retarded or something similar just cause one have a doubt ... NO I don't want to update now , in fact If it wasn't for possible issues I even would take the Mod of my mod list just cause I do not want to cross this mod page again being for the reason that just happend or simply cause I am not even treated normally when i ask something to solve a doubt ... Rude nowadays you say ... maybe for some everything is rude or offensive but I am not that kind of sensitive person that takes rudeness or Hostile language so rapidly... THis Site and forum used to be an incredible place that everyone was helping and creating stuff , nowadays its like this , no one is allowed to ask anything on the premise that the Mod creator or someone will jump to insult or be rude just cause people this days think ist normal to be an idiot to everyone ... Thank you for your comet but you are far from knowing me or even make any judgments on what I think its rudeness or hostile language ! As for the Mod here it stays .. Good luck to MymphiElf its all I say ... And I am not wrong about this all thing , this days or nowadays has you say one is not even allowed to ask a simple question in case of a doubt ! You don't say why updating is out of the question. If it's for a mod list, then the curator of that list probably needs to update their list. That aside, as a general rule updating from a v1.# to a v3.# is a bad idea because these are major mod changes, not tweaks or patches. A lot of code can be rewritten and your game can break and be unsalvageable even if you try downgrading and reverting to an earlier save. Unless a mod author specifically says it's safe to upgrade on a major change, my advice is DON'T. Even if they do say it's safe, it's probably still riskier than updating from a 1.30 to a 1.30.1, which would be a minor change. So, when any mod author says 'New game required' then that's a warning that your game can break.
Aldo1231 Posted March 15 Posted March 15 how does this mod determine the players and npc gender does it use base game vanilla gender or sexlab gender?

I fail to see what the problem is. It's just a game. I've started new games sometimes 2-3 times in a single week. Setting up my current FO4 game, I started a new game 4 times in one weekend to make sure that everything ran smoothly and worked the way it was supposed to. 5hrs or 500hrs makes no difference whatsoever. It's just a game. Saying that you can't update because it means you have to start a new game is a cop out. it's not that you can't. it's that you don't want to. starting a new game is always an option 2
NymphoElf Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 (edited) @Bullfye Forgive me if I came across harshly. I wasn't trying to directly insult you. However, you did come across as complaining and it seemed to me that you were suggesting that starting a new game wasn't really necessary - or that you thought it shouldn't be necessary. There are many mod users out there with this attitude because they don't understand how Skyrim actually works, nor do they have any experience with making mods, and you seemed to be one of these people with how you expressed yourself. Forgive me if this was an incorrect analysis. Also, I frequently deal with unsavory people that complain or otherwise do not take the time to carefully look over what I have provided in order to ensure they are doing things correctly. This creates a lot of frustration and strains my patience, and recently I had someone blatantly steal my work without asking and threw my project into a programming AI to spit out something I am currently working on developing myself - so I was already in a poor state of mind. It's best to not read too deeply into my words. I try to be as clear and concise as possible. I do not think you're a bad person or have bad feelings towards you in any way. I was just being blunt with how I saw the situation. I do highly recommend updating because you are missing a LOT of quality of life features and bug fixes if you are still using a version that old. However, starting a new game is simply not negotiable in order for you to do that. It's almost an entirely new mod between 1.x and 3.x. Again, I understand that starting a new game can feel like a step backwards, but I promise you will enjoy the game more with an updated version. Edited March 15 by NymphoElf 2
