quick question how do I get unfaithful fame. I am using it with fame comments and its got that thing where you can set the relationship and can cheat. The comments are there but would love integration from this where it pushes up the unfaithful fame

Edit: Ok I just checked the guides you made and it seems I am suppose to get unfaithful fame since you have support for it if we have fame comments installed. But I am not getting any. Is there anything specific that I might be missing ?

Is your PC actually married?

You can't be unfaithful if you aren't married.

It's a category for Fame Comments to use. Until Fame Comments updates to use it nothing will happen. That category was on Gristle's wish list so I added it. (Same with Cuck fame)

Ok thank you. Will wait patiently

This mod is an interesting idea but there are some shortcomings in how the new fame is relevant for other mods than maybe SLSF comments(haven't tried it enough to see the difference). People have already raised the issue with SL Survival's begging dialogue, and that was a disappointment for me since it's one of the mods I build my setup on. Then you have Public Whore which only has five different categories I think, and Deviously Enslaved with three categories. Exhibition and Slut are the most prominent in both cases and I'm suspecting SLSFR will divert this fame into different categories that are nothing more than numbers on a sheet.

If it converted the new categories into fitting fame for the old version it would be an improvement, since you woulnd't lose any relevant fame to SLSFR.

However, I will continue playing with it for awhile with Legacy Overwrite disabled and see how that goes. Hopefully I can uninstall without leaving bloat in my save.

Edit: Fame gain from tattoos don't seem to work. I don't know if something is wrong in my game but I did give them extra fame manually in the MCM. Having two fame mods is a bit confusing actually, since you don't know what you can expect.

Sorry if this a silly question, but if I already have this mod installed and I start a new game using Alternate Start, should I repeat steps 1-5 of the installation process?

No. It's just a general guide for new those who haven't installed previously and want to make sure they did everything correctly. However, you will still need to reset your papyrus storages in the old SLSF if you're using that mod (you will get a warning message if you don't).

When playing this with the old SL Fame and legacy overwrite, sometimes a few important settings are disabled in the old mod. Fame gain, loss and countage magnitudo are set to 0.0 while "Notify increase" is disable. This usually happens when you change location, especially when entering a city or a town, but seems to happen at other times as well and it's very frustrating to re-enable the settings every time. Why is this happening?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this. I can't help that nobody is converting to my version of Sexlab Sexual Fame. I hoped people would have done so by now, but they've either left the modding scene or are taking forever in making their conversion. Perhaps I was just too late when I started working on this, but I got frustrated with the old one being so inconsistent and buggy. Mine is far better.

I tried to make every category distinct in how it's acquired, so yes - your numbers are likely to be more diverse. Also, I don't know what you think the old SLSF is doing, but those are "nothing more than numbers on a sheet" too. The old SLSF doesn't actually DO anything with those numbers, so I don't understand why you're expecting my mod to be any different.

What do you think OVERWRITE means?

My mod is forcing its data into the old SLSF in order for mods that still need the old SLSF to read the data coming from SLSF Reloaded. The way the old mod calculates, decays, and spreads fame is different from SLSF Reloaded, and would cause problems if allowed to continue running. So yes, my mod disables those problematic functions of the old SLSF so things don't break.

You'd complain if that DIDN'T happen too, because then you'd say "Why are my fame values acting so weird? This is so frustrating and I don't get it" so you've put me in a lose-lose situation.

Your version makes more sense to be fair and has a better MCM, but my point is that in the current situation it doesn't give you fame that mods can do anything with. Not your fault though, since the mods that use fame aren't updated anymore. I know SLSF doesn't DO anything with the numbers on its own, but the fame can have consequences for Deviously Enslaved or Public Whore, the two other mods besides Fame Comments I know of that somehow integrates fame in their features.

SLSFR could still be made more compatible though, if it converted most categories into exhibitionism or slut fame for the old mod, since those are the most important ones as I said before. I had 20+ in tattoo and bound fame, and only 3 in exhibitionism from SLSFR. The former two are epulling fame that could otherwise have an impact on the game into a black hole.

Of course I have a choice if I want to play with it, but l can't uninstall. I clicked uninstall in the MCM, exited, saved, restarted the game, loaded the save. The save is now corrupted and can't be loaded. Looks like I have to start over if I want the old SLSF.

With Legacy Overwrite enabled, SLSF Reloaded will inject its fame into those mods. I even made a patch for Public Whore where the old SLSF actually ISNT required to use Reloaded's data. So my mod will generate the same consequences in PW and DE if you either turn on Overwrite or apply the included patch (for PW).

Compatible with what? This is a FRAMEWORK. Frameworks aren't "compatible" with the mods that depend on the framework. OTHER mods need to be compatible with THIS MOD. Those mods are/will be DEPENDENT on this mod.

Ok, but the reason why those two fame types became so "important" is because the old SLSF gave you those two fame types for LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU DID and almost NOTHING else. I'm trying to fix that and make things more nuanced and interesting.

You're not going to gain a bunch of Slut or Exhibitionist fame simply by virtue of being sexually active in my mod because that's just plain dumb and I hated that from the old SLSF. You gained way too much fame in way too few categories way too fast. It was horribly unbalanced and shallow.

I'm sorry that happened. I've tried numerous times to fix the issue, but I can't find the cause - nor can I recreate it. I simply don't know what to do.

It's alright. I have to find a way to manage.

On another note, it seems very difficult to gain exhibitionist fame with SLSFR, and it doesn't convert tattoo fame into exhibitionist fame for the old version. Should it? I think so, because otherwise you get less fame than you would before towards PW. I walked around Falkreath naked and covered in tattoos(set most of them to exhibitionist in the MCM) for one game hour and didn't gain anything. I mean, if being naked isn't exhbitionism, then what is?

The slow update time is also a problem if you play with a lower timescale. I normally play with 6 for immersion which means people have little time to notice you if you just walked through a town in a few minutes(irl heads would turn all around you if you're naked, covered in tattoos etc). It's realistic that fame isn't gained instantly, but it would be nice to have a setting for how frequent gains happen, to be on par with timescale.

I don't know what exactly I'm supposed to do here. I'm caught between a rock and a hard place.

  1. If I make the updates too fast, people with heavy script load will complain about Suspended Frames and Stack Dumps, most likely from the Visibility Manager due to its heavy yet necessary analysis of tattoos.
  2. If I make the updates "too slow" then people like you complain.

I have to make sure all of the functions that need to run are able to do so within the time budget or things will break. I also can't desync them because then people will be confused and complain about things running at different times. I have to account for older devices and heavily scripted games.

If I try to give users the option to select their own scan speed, they'll find more things to complain about because they'll either pick a scan speed that's too fast for their game/computer and we're back to complaint #1, or they'll complain about not being able to set it to what they SPECIFICALLY want, or they'll complain that the way they play makes them frequently change the scan speed and ask me to make it dynamic (like you did) and that comes with its own headaches, or they'll complain that some other aspect of the mod doesn't make sense at a certain scan speed.

I can't win.

In my opinion, updating every in-game hour is fine. It's fast enough to be reasonable without being too slow to be completely inconsequential. Playing the whole game at nearly 1/4th normal game time is a bit extreme in my opinion, and I play with the Dynamic Timescale mod where indoor time scales are that low or lower, while outdoor timescales are closer to vanilla.

Therefore, I personally see this as more of a you problem than a problem with the mod. I can't make everyone happy, and it seems you're just one of those people that I can't make happy.

Hi Folks Warning This is an Extremly Stupid Question but I may of missed something in the faq as I didnt see it.

Do you need the public whore mod to use the public whole patch Im fully aware this a really stupid question but i have noticed that the patch adds the npcs and the mcm menu for the mod.

Sorry for any stupidity just wanted to check

Yes. Why would you be using the PW patch if you're not using PW?

Timescales aside, why am I gaining so little exhibitionist vs slut fame? What are the conditions for exhibitionist fame?

Why is that I get different values showing in the PW fame menu (with the patch and "Use SLSF(R) Fame Only" selected) than are shown in the SLSF(R) menu?  (The first screenshot below is for Windhelm, obviously.)

PW is a bit slow when updating sometimes. That's difficult for me to account for without starting to take over Visio's mod.

Loving SLSF Reloaded especially how it pairs so well with Advanced Nudity Detection.

Quick likely dumb question.  What fame category is impacted by visible cum on the body?  Thought it might be Cum Dump but with SLACS installed and detected by SLSF Reloaded and cum at two locations, there's no change to Cum Dump fame and I can't tell which other category is effected.

Thanks for your great work on this!

Sorry to have bothered you.  I found the answer in the Guidebook, of course.

Now I have to figure out why the PC doesn't seem to be developing fame for cum.

It heavily depends on how much is considered visible. It could also just not have been rolled if there are other fame types your character is eligible for.

The reason why I made it that way is because sometimes people focus on different things about your character or forget things, rather than everyone having photographic/perfect memories. My system is much more realistic/believable than Versh's

Totally agree!

I've triggered fame in all categories.  It's awesome!
