so first time I tried this the scholar wouldn't have sex with the wolf, the mod just stopped working there, quest would not progress.

Tried the mod a second time, new playthrough, the key quest popped up when I was just wandering the tundra, without me entering the bannered mare, when I did go to the bannered mare the scholar acted like we had already talked, I had her follow me to the marker for the wolf cage, but there wasn't any cage there at all.  No wolf, no cage.  did I break the quest by having an early encounter with some of the bandits????

This is a bug in the current version. The quest can be started midstream of the first animal by wandering through the area where the cage will be. This will be corrected in the next version, which will be posted very soon. I'm wondering, if the quest didn't start properly, how is Tirwin following you?

New version 0.3 has now been posted. This is a pretty sizable adventure on the island of Solstheim (and a bit beyond). It includes seven new creatures, four new mod-added locations, and adds or reintroduces several NPCs. 

 

You can see the complete list of changes in the mod description, but I thought it would be good to mention that Tirwin is a bit more configurable now (outfit, comment frequency, candlelight spell use), and that this is all done through her dialogue. So, you'll have to take a look at her dialogue to see what the options are.

 

Those options include skipping over previous quests. So if you ran the earlier versions of the mod on a different profile and want to skip the quests you've already done, you can, but you must first meet Tirwin in the Bannered Mare and be recruited by her before you can ask her to skip over any books.

Thanks. Tirwin sounds good.  But there should be no need to generate so many voices. 

 

When I make a "dialogue tree", I use a GetIsID condition on the initial topic so that the right actor says it. This has the side effect of telling the CK to only require voice files for that actor. But... for all the subsequent dialogue lines in the dialogue -- which you can only get to through the initial topic -- I have not added a GetIsID condition. I only recently realized that the CK is wanting [all] voice files for all of these dialogue lines (even though the CK knows that they are all tied to the initial topic). 

 

I discussed this with killer905 and he was aware and has been removing all the unneeded voice files manually.  I suppose what I could do is go back through the 1000 lines of dialogue in the mod and add GetIsID conditions to every line. But I have not done that in the present version, so hopefully you have some way of getting rid of the unneeded voices. If needed and helpful, I could go through the mod and make a list of all the voices actually used in the mod. Or, you could look at the voices generated by killer905 and packed with the mod and figure it out that way.

I honestly don't use the Creationkit or have any idea how it works.  But I'm confident that the remaining voices aren't bloat as they're all unique and for different voice types.  Honestly, this is the only mod so far where I have NOT run into voice bloat, so thank you for that!

After I spoke to Ria about finding a troll, I went to Graywinter Watch with Tirwin. No trolls are inside or outside the cave. There is also no quest marker for the quest at all. I have tried completely restarting the quest and nothing is working. Is the quest bugged or am I just an idiot and I am not doing the quest correctly?

Did you start the quest before version 0.30 or after? The target marker should appear.

May help to narrow down the issue if you look at the current quest stages in the console?

Gristle and i we chack Bear and trolls quests and no problerms find. Maybe P+ again?

I'm sure you had... maybe like you mentioned they may had started the quest before they updated?

 

They're claiming they did not get the quest marker and that the Trolls are not there... (which should happen at stage 60). I would not think P+ would prevent objects added by quests, playing animations maybe, but should not prevent quest stages, etc.... 

 

So, the first thing I'd suggest is to see that the stage is set.

I just checked it and spoke with Ria and the quest marker appeared on Graywinter Watch. I've noticed that sometimes when I skip fast through the dialogue (tends to happen when you're playtesting something for the 12th time) sometimes the final script on the final line of dialogue doesn't run properly. So, my only immediate suggestion is to let Ria's dialogue play out and not skip through it (especially the last line).

 

Although the interior of Graywinter Watch changed in v0.3, Ria's dialogue and the associated quest marker outside of the cave didn't change, 

 

EDIT: I think know what the problem is. You must have used the Tirwin dialogue option to skip to getting Ragnar. In setting that up I missed the fact that the "bear" stage switches the cave entrance to the modded cave interior - the same cave used by the "troll" stage. I will fix this so that the cave entrance is switched in the "skip to Ragnar" function and repost. Until then, the "skip to Ragnar" dialogue should not be used, but the "skip to mammoth" dialogue should be fine.

 

In the meantime, you can use "setstage VAR_Bear 60" to fix the problem. That's the "bear" stage that switches the cave door, but then you'll have an uncompleted bear quest sitting in your log.

 

SECOND EDIT: I made the fix and tested it, skipping to getting Ragnar. Troll cave now works fine. I will post the new version.

Unfortunately, but if a task has been corrected as it was already active in the log before the update to 0.30 it can cause problems. e.g. the task refers to the original cave and not a copy of it as we have with Bear and the Trolls

 

 

I have seen some strange behaviour with P+ also it wouldn't surprise me

My English is very poor. I don't know if you can understand my meaning, author?
I started the new version of the game, but I can't continue the mission "DIRTY BUSINESS".

I'm sure I got the book. It's in my bag, but there are no new instructions.

Tirwin didn't react either.

I didn't see the father mentioned in the mission either.

Did you use the dialogue option to skip to the Solstheim quests? If so, this is likely the first time that Tirwin is in a Sexlab animation. Tirwin should force greet you after every sex animation she has (whether generated by this mod or not).

 

Are you using Sexlab P+? There seems to be some difference in the way Sexlab P+ handles Sexlab "hooks", which is what is being used to detect the end of the Sexlab animation and trigger Tirwin's force greets after sex.

After you get the book you should give it to Tirwin (immediately - while still in the area you got the book). There should be an objective that says this, but it takes a few seconds to appear after you take the book.

 

Have you already completed the vanilla Vahlok's Tomb quest? Were the blue platforms already in place? If so, you won't see the father.

I completed all the previous quests and I did not use Sexlab P+
