I don't know how to solve the issues with Doctor Hope or the wandering hucows since I don't know how those issues are created.  There is nothing in Human Cattle that should do any of that.  The crawl serum only starts the crawl function for the actor so it should not prevent Doctor Hope from talking.  Did you accidentally use a hucow clone serum syringe on her?

The cows should not leave the settlement unless they are following you or you sold them to the wandering trader.  Once you tell a hucow to "Go Home", they are assigned to the settlement like a settler and will not leave unless you Move them to another settlement the same way you Move settlers.  The hucow packages do not have any possibility of finding a new home or running away on their own.  There are no random hucows in the Commonwealth unless you change someone into a hucow and leave them behind.  If you don't tell them to follow you, they stay where they are and will run from enemies.  They can go a long way like that if they encounter multiple enemies that pursue them.  If you tell a hucow follower to "Stay" while you are in a settlement, that does not assign them to the settlement.

There isn't a way in the Human Cattle mod for a hucow to be assigned to any location that is not an owned player settlement.

Thank you for your insights. :)

Doctor hope started talking again in the meantime.

I might post a screenshot of when I looked into an errant cows idendity specs and it listed Gorski's Cabin as home. She had the face of a Commonwealth settler girl.

So perhpas I did not give her the right commond ( follow me) and the kept runnign from threats. Doe not explain the assignment to Gorski's cabin. but perhaps its a bit of ghost in the machine..

What mod are you using to see that she is assigned to Gorski's Cabin?  That might just be the name of her current location.

Amazing Follower Tweaks:

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26976

When I activate AFT on an NPC, it shows me all sorts of statistics such as hp, armor rating, stats and perks, level, AI combat setting from (aggressve to coward), etc etc.

I was able to see your combat flee setting for the hucows and "helps no one" in combat flag.

It also lists the home of record.

This one was Gorski's Cabin.

Often they are assigned at random when u meet an NPC and then change when you assign her to your settlement.

And she had been assigned to sancturary for sure, as from her tatoos ("property of Sancturary Dairy Farm" ) I had processed her in Sanct.

Just a quick question: Which category are the workshop items listed under? I can't seem to find them. Thanks for the mod. Currently trying to make it work with pregnancies. It feels kinda weird that most HuCow media just omits the arguably most essential part of the whole process.

No big belly, no milk.

Be careful with Amazing Follower Tweaks. Some mods claim it is incompatible with most anything - like Ivy.

It might be the cause of your wandering cows.

No big belly, no milk.

You need the recipes for the workshop entries to show up.

The two guys in white coats have a copy; another at the creamery.

Awesome, thank you! A short FAQ would be great. I think this mod will get quite popular with time. Preempting repetitive questions would probably save the dev quite some time.

is there an indicator where which quests starts?

There is only one main quest and you can find a clue on a holotape in a mailbox in Sanctuary.  If you are really in a hurry, go to Finch Farm.

No big belly, no milk.

Use the MCM to get the blueprints holotape if you want to build workshop items right away.  You have to run the holotape in your Pipboy or a terminal.

Pregnancy is not part of this mod because EgoBallistic's Family Planning mod already does that.

I will add some interaction between this mod and Ego's version of Family Planning so that pregnant cows provide more milk and have larger udders.

Version 1.2.0. of Human Cattle is now available.

Changes are:

  • Added a Bed Check function to ensure that hucow beds are not assigned to settlers and settler beds are not assigned to hucows by the game engine.  Added a dialogue line to male hucow farmers so they will fix the bed problem (by running the Bed Check function).  Note that hucows can sleep in normal beds that you build in your settlements.  The only beds that Human Cattle recognizes as prohibited for hucows are the No Hucow beds in the furniture section of the Human Cattle build menu section.

  • Bed Check also names all beds so that you know who sleeps there, if you have the Rename Anything mod installed and activated.  If you don't name your settlers and hucows, the bed names will be simply "Settler's Bed" and "HuCow's Bed".

  • Added a dialogue option so the hucow player can ask Lloris for sex.

  • Troughs get filled with wild plants now instead of corn and tatos.

  • Changed the Crawl syringe so that it no longer makes the targeted actor hostile.

Its part of the lore of this mod that there is milk flowing .

The build items are all the way on the right under thier own category

I've never used Ivy.

AFT has a repuation for issues , but the worst that I have found are that it sometimes the activator stops working for a bit and then works again. And sometimes settlers that you made followers will stop talking.

The far ranging cows had never been forced into being followers by AFT but  were from Comonwelath captives.

I rarely use it to make followers, only when I get someone bitchy from say Diamond city to be able to take to Sanct. (I have Diamond City plus which is not the same as Diamond city expansion and less buggy)

I also have depravity but that has been buggy for me  even before this mod but its a good fit for a male charatcer.

I mostly play as a guy these days but sometimes I go back to female just to check how the experience is differnt ( as it should be very different in the wasteland)

Your updates aren't showing on the main Downloads page.  So a lot of people may not know there are updates or even that the mod exist.  Your update should be at the top of the page today but it's not there at all.

You're right. It is always updated only under the Advanced Animation Framework tab.

I'm getting the message "No female targets" even though I have multiple female settlers nearby. would this be a problem from the mod or AAF?

That message is from Human Cattle.  It may be because the male actor chosen was a settler and they don't randomly fuck female settlers.

Bulls fuck any adult female.  EDIT:  Male settlers fuck hucows, female settlers with a hucow fetish, and female settlers that are wearing a hucow disguise.

AAF Autonomy already handles settler on settler random sex so I didn't see a need to double down on that.

You should be able to milk and fuck NPC hucows already using activate buttons.

You have to know how to milk hucows (available right away via MCM or learned from Lloris) and the hucows have to be horny, which is a random thing.

Cows ALWAYS have to be milked before you can fuck them.  If they are ready to milk, milking takes priority over fucking.

I will take a look at the bulls today.  I am also looking at the Family Planning mod so I can work out how to integrate it.

EDIT:  I am going to make the bulls a bit less aggresive.  Aggression Level 2 is just too much.

After the update I uninstalled the Crawl on all Fours mod. Emily constantly uses sneak to move.

I will check her packages, maybe I missed changing one of them to stop the constant sneaking.

EDIT:  She had two packages that still had sneak active.  I fixed them.  Thanks for telling me.

Aaron Wills on after assignment to settlement. He didn't get any HuCow serum.

This is odd.  There should be no way for him to sneak unless you made him a hucow or hit him with a crawl syringe.

I have no idea how to fix that other than make a syringe that cancels the crawling.  He doesn't have that ability in the mod.

EDIT:  I found the issue and fixed it.  It was the Go Home function that needed a condition to screen out normal actors from hucow actors.  Part of the new code that I added to integrate the new crawling function.

I will add a syringe that will stop actors from crawling so that you can help poor Aaron.  :)

I don't control that.  I just upload the updates.  There are no buttons or settings to make the update notifications show up on the Downloads page.  If you want notifications for updates, I think you have to follow this mod on its download page.  There is a button there.

For me at least, it doesn't work.
Following the support thread seems to be a better option, as it's been quite some time that I've gotten a notice of a mod file being updated.
