It works on SE for me. I think that was one of the changes back a while ago...? (I thought I read it was but I can't seem to find It again for proof...)

 

HOWEVER- I'm having a bit of an issue. I can craft condoms but I cannot create the cures. I can't find them at any shop and they're not showing up in any item search either (Console Command or in my ItemSearch mod under the addon settings). The only thing that will show up is the SPELL and the MGEF in the console command list. While I like the whole idea of the mod, if the only way I can get rid of the diseases is to magic them away with a CC it kinda defeats the purpose.

I made some changes to this mod, if anyone is interested in trying it out. Changes include:

 

- Changed condoms into "Venereal Protection Gel". Found it weird you could find an object made out of latex in this medieval-inspired fantasy world, but an alchemical creation makes sense to me. Although I guess you could argue that latex could be an alchemical creation in this world, but eh, whatever. If that were the case, I'd think it would be more prevalent. And this way, it won't be weird that they won't protect you from pregnancy in other mods.

- Made it so that if you infect someone, they don't automatically go down to relationship level -3 and start attacking you. They'll go down by -1 each time you infect them, to a max -1 (so they'll hate you, but won't attack you, I think).

- Certain races can only contract or give certain diseases now. A few creature races were taken into account (draugr, trolls, and animals).

- Made it so that disease resistance matters when you contract a disease, and it will also help when you try to cure the disease with a potion. Goes well with Bathing in Skyrim. Being dirty will make it harder to fight disease.

- Changed it so that there's not one potion for each disease, and it doesn't use the vanilla cure disease potion. Made a "Potion of Cure STDs" that should be in the leveled lists.

- If you're a vampire, you shouldn't be able to contract an STD. And if you change into a vampire when you already have STDs, they should be removed within a few hours.

- Added disease progression mechanic. Diseases can have stages now and will progress over time. Disease resistance helps with this too, and you can even overcome the disease over time with disease resistance and luck. Cure Potions don't automatically cure progressed disease. Instead they'll treat them a stage at a time. I only edited two spell to have this mechanic.

- Cairn Rot. Changed name to "Grave Worms". Can only be contracted from draugr. If it progresses too far, should theoretically be deadly? I tried copying the effects of a damage health potion for the final stage. Haven't tested it though.

- Seeping Sores. Can now be contracted from trolls as well. Progresses a couple stages but isn't deadly. Should theoretically be incurable, but it can be treated to its first stage (which shouldn't be too bad). My reasoning was that the disease mimics the troll's regenerative abilities and is able to resist even magic. If no one likes this part, I can always edit it real quick. I just figured it would make sense to have at least one untreatable STD.

- Also added Blood Fever disease, which can be contracted from vampires. It's nothing special otherwise compared to the other STDs.

- Can now also contract Sanguinare Vampiris from vampires through this mod, and the Potion of Cure STDs will cure it.

 

Let me know if there's any issues. My modding knowledge and abilities are pretty limited, but I'll try my best to fix them.

 

 

EDIT: Wasn't working. STDs weren't being contracted. I fixed it.

Dunno if it's me being a noob in alchemy / skyrim, but i cant craft the same cure disease potion modified by Halleaon's edit of SexLab STD. I can buy and loot those but never craft them.

Fixed and edited a few things. Also added higher risk based on a few races. Animals have higher risk of giving STD, skeevers even moreso, and then draugrs have the highest risk. I also would be able to implement a feature to add visuals via SlaveTats to the diseases, but I don't have the artistic know-how to make the overlays.

yeah, i was looking for an answer to that here but it seems thats just how its going to be for now. i think i'll try resetting the mod or disabling it then uninstall bc this way it just makes everything less immersive

 

edit:

i just started the game up again (nothing has changed since) and i see that the normal cure disease  potion has a very long and unreadable description wich does state that it can cure your std's. So i would suggest trying that (i did before and it did nothing though. i did sort my load order since then by the way, maybe try that) . So, for everyone wanting this in SKYRIM SPECIAL EDITION, it works and is FULLY COMPATIBLE.

I love the way you improved this mod and i use it in my game.

 

I got seeping sores and find it quite annoying, i know it's not a big penalty but i would prefer having to make a special potion or ointment with the troll fat or something than to have a permanent untreatable std.

 

Do you edit more mods ? i like your way of thinking, i also got your minor edits from aroused extended found it great

Sorry it took so long to get back on this. I edited it so that you can set for the incurable STDs (which is only seeping sores atm) to be incurable or not in the MCM. It's automatically set so that all STDs are curable. I think there are other changes I've made but I can't remember what those would be.

hi, mushroomcap, I love STD1.4, ty for your great work. 

 

I have some requests if you have time to add them.

 

When Dragonborn transfers any STDs to one NPC, that NPC just get lower health for a short time and lose one level of relationship.

 

1. I think if we change that losing health effect into the same STD effect (like the one Dragonborn has), this will make STD mod more real.

 

2. Please add one option of turning off losing relationship by transferring STD to other NPCs  on MCM.

My sim contracted Crab lice and I can't find a way to cure it ! I've already bought the crab lice shampoo but it doesn't show up in my inventory

the potions dont show up in the cooking pot, needs to be ported correctly

but what about the potions that could cure a specific STD ? they dont show in the cooking pot cause the mod is badly ported, needs a rework
