how do you remove/pick up contraptions/furniture after using it? i can add them to my inventory with the cheat menu, drop the "basket" and the contraption spawns in, but then there is no way to pick it back up?

I have some bugs. The firs that comes to my mind: nipple piercing doesn't appear on npcs when wearing straitjacket with chest opening. And other stuff not appearing when equipped paired with other stuff. 

Also im updatin to the latest version, i've installed ostim. It says that requires PARTIAL ANIMATION REPLACER. Never heard about this mod. I have OPEN ANIMATION REPLACER.

Adjust your device hider settings in the DD config menu. Anything you don't want hidden by other devices/clothes should be set to none. You are right that an open straitjacket should not hide nipple piercings, I will forward this finding to the one who developed the DDNG device hider.

I've also noticed that if I select the Ostim Patch at the end of the fomod I have the patch plugin unchecked in the right panel of MO2. Do I have to manually select it?

I tried to put both the old and new Ebonite armbinders on a male character, but both were invisible. In SSEEdit I can see that the old EbArmbinder has a reference for a male mesh, but the mesh does not exist, and the new Armbinder added by NG doesn't even have a reference for a male mesh.

 

I tried to cook up a male .nif for the new Armbinder myself and reference that file in the esp, but it's still invisible.

 

As for what I did, I took the female model, reshaped it in Outfit Studio to fit a male body and then saved and built that. And in the esp file I took the entry zadNG_ArmbinderNewAA ARMA:08A00002, copied it over 1-to-1 into a new esp file of my own and then just added the new nif file under Male Biped Model\MOD2 - Model FileName .

I also tried to add Devious Devices NG - Armbinder replacer.esp as a master for my esp file, but that didn't help either.

The male stuff should be in the for him bsa, assuming you selected for him in the DD 5.2 install.

not sure why your custom mesh isn't showing up.

I'm encountering a strange issue: The gag functions correctly on the my character and regular NPCs, but it doesn't work properly on the followers, no matter they are recruited or not. After equipping the gag, the follower's mouth initially stays open as it should. However, as soon as I trigger dialogue with them, their mouth closes after dialogue ends and doesn't reopen afterward. The only temporary fix is to re-equip the gag.

I'm not entirely sure what's causing this issue, this only happens when DD NG is installed, the original DD 5.2 and the older version of DD NG (I was using DD NG v0.40b before updating) don't have this issue. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has possible troubleshooting steps or suggestions.

do the male DD prevent any SL penetrative sex from happening?

 

Trying to know if locking males into DD will prevent scrappies matchmaker from starting scenes for example.
the way belts also work for females = the scene starts and immediately stops

Hell, everyone!

 

  Perhaps an odd question, but is it safe to enchant devious devices? Specifically, my character has a set of piercings that are never removed. My enchanting table shows them as available for enchantment, but I don't want to break anything if this is a bad idea. Since they are never removed, I thought I could add water breathing to them as a little bonus for having to put up with soulgem peircings for so long. Any advice would be appreciated!

Not a devious devices thing. There's a forum thread on Nexus about it. Here's a link to one of the solutions. It's one I used in the past. As always, remember to save your game first.

I'd like to release a new EboniteBoxbinder NG model. The model is the DD-CBBE SE Inte Mod-EboniteBoxbinder from -Devious Devices-Equip. Like the original EboniteBoxbinder, this DDE model takes up all the slots, making it impossible to wear clothes. I'd like to create a model that only occupies the arm slots, based on the DDE Inte Mod-EboniteBoxbinder. (I tried modifying the slots myself, but failed, probably due to insufficient understanding.)

hi so I downloaded SL and DD only for the bdsm stuff that ostim doesn't have, I wanna ask does either of them (SL or DD) have scripts running in background when they are not in use?

Is there an easy way to... Make this mildly more "immersive"? 
I mean as in, the devious devices in question being less contemporary. E.g. blocking all the more modern looking pieces of the mod from showing up in gameplay and interactions with other mods.

I don't mind it being "out there" obviously but I'm just more about a certain degree of visual coherence. I'd rather keep rope arm bindings for example rather than latex.

Hey, I'm having a really specific issue and thought this was the best place to look for help

I am playing a female Argonian (DD 5.2, DDNG 4.2, DCL, and more), I have Beast race refits on in both DD and DDNG, built everything in bodyslide but no matter what I do, no headgear from Devious devices specifically is visible on my character. Any other headgear from any other mod (DCL, Unforgiving devices) is visible and is using Beast race refits correctly.

I have tried reinstalling both DD and DDNG, ran bodyslide multiple time to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious and check both this and DD's Support forum, but no luck.

Does anyone have any idea of where to start looking to fix this ?

There's no unified way for the player to specify what devices they want to see - it's a choice made by the modders using the framework. If a mod is putting modern equipment on you, you'll have to check if that mod can be configured to only use the devices that visually "fit" in Skyrim.

So I go into OAR -> I see a list:

- yoke

- exhausted yoke

- etc.

 

Now these also govern the hands tied animations right? not just the hip shake.

So if I add a condition for males not to trigger under each restraint type -> I won't get the arms cuffed animation either right?

How can I just remove the hip shake/walk animation part for males? And keep the cuffed arms in place

Ahh I see, that's a shame. I'll have to tinker around with a few mods some more but it seems like most of them use the whole thing quite liberally and MCM's dont generally have anything to stop the types of pieces. Could've sworn some years ago there was options in some mods to adjust that but it is lost to me now!

Devious Curses NG has an exclusion list for their events, which works surprisingly well.

The Dynamic Armor Variants replacer for HDT nipple piercings only replaces the common soulgem version with HDT and leaves the soulgem and shock piercings without HDT. This can easily be fixed by adding the other two replacements into the replace file. Replace the existing single line inside the replaceByForm node of the file SKSE\Plugins\DynamicArmorVariants\Devious Devices - NG - Piercing replacer.json with the following lines (one of which is the original line):


        "Devious Devices - Assets.esm|023E6E": "Devious Devices - Expansion.esm|A00024",
        "Devious Devices - Expansion.esm|01492E": "Devious Devices - Expansion.esm|A00024",
        "Devious Devices - Expansion.esm|014930": "Devious Devices - Expansion.esm|A00024"

 

You will lose the custom textures differentiating the three by color, but you'll gain physics for all three, which you may consider a worthwhile tradeoff.

At first all seemed to be going well with this mod and it's integration with other mods.  Simple Prostitution would occasionally add gear and plugs, which my character would react to and I could also interact with them via the inventory (pump up plug, try to remove etc.) but I have run into a few issues now.  I had removed two plugs and decided to store them in the Breezehome bedside cabinet for later. 

Now, the cuffs are still there but the plugs are gone. 

I also had a shocking vaginal plug added by a scene at some point but it never vibrated, shocked or had any other notable effect and it also disappeared / despawned when put in the drawer.  Is this normal behaviour?  Only I wanted my followers and housecarls to enjoy their pleasures, too! 

I have some keys for devices but shouldn't there be a menu pop-up when selecting an equipped plug to remove or play with it?  

It could also be I've broken something as I have been using the SkyUI feature that lets you create groups so you can switch quickly between loadouts, one of which is a full nude group (nothing equipped, all apparel, weapons etc. removed) as SexLab stripping doesn't always work right, plus I have some other animations that look weird with a clothed character (birthing, egg-laying).  I think using that group also unequips any devices worn - has that broken something?  I was able to re-equip some cuffs with the menu options to manipulate the locks for easy escape ok, but are the plugs now broken?

My understanding is that SkyUI feature is not compatible with Devious Devices, and when it strips apparel from your character, it will break any equipped Devious Devices.
