Prison Overhaul Patched (AE)

Description
Prison Overhaul Patched (POP) replaces the original Prison Overhaul V033 (PO).

POP will attempt to replace the vanilla Skyrim crime system by introducing a heavy element of BDSM into it. 

Arrests

  • The arrests will result in the criminal being bound to a helpless state (DDe) or just shackled and gagged. 
  • If the arrest fails for some reason, then the vanilla prison system will trigger instead.
  • Next, the criminal will be marched to the jail.
  • After processing, the criminal becomes a prisoner and will be locked into a cell. 

Jail

    Crime is divided by levels.

  • Petty and minor crimes. 
  • The prisoners are locked in their cell during the night and in the stocks during the day. 
  • There is almost no physical punishment administered.
  • Major crimes.
  • The prisoners are sleep-deprived and punished on a regular basis while in their cell.
  • Prisoners are asked not to piss on their correctional officer or anyone else, while being rehabilitated. 
  • They are also locked in very tight and secure devices that are most devious. (DDe)  
  • In the morning the prisoners will be paraded through town while completely bound and helpless. This is done so townsfolk can whip and humiliate them at will.
  • Next, the prisoners are taken to entertain the Jarl. Once there, they are locked into a cage and made to dance like monkeys, or other some such.  
  • Afer entertaining the Jarl, it’s time to entertain the townsfolk again. The prisoners are taken to the town square and locked into stocks. Here the townsfolk can pay the Jail Master for some public personal time with the prisoners. The prisoners can also get lessons in how to ‘behave properly’ from the Jail Master, lessons they can then practice on each other.
  • Then, it’s time to entertain the townsdrunk. The prisoners are taken to the local pub. There they are locked again in a cage and made to do things to each other. Dirty, unspeakable things.
  • Lastly and leastly, the prisoners are taken back to their cell where they are beaten to a pulp, and then punished for looking like a pulp. 
  • In the morning everything will start anew.        

Release

  • After spending some time in jail all prisoners will start losing their skills. Prisoners are strongly encouraged to talk to their MCM doctor if they do not wish to lose any skills.  
  • The release only happens in the morning after 8:00. Prisoners are advised not to miss their own release. 
  • At the time of the release, the prisoners might get a gift from the Jail Master in recognition of their service (DDe).


For a slew of other available options, prisoners are encouraged to talk to their MCM doctor to see which options are right for them.


Requirements

 

 

Install

  • If you have PO installed, it must be uninstalled for POP to work properly now. 
  • Always use the latest version of SUM.
  • Uninstall the previous POP version, then install the latest version overwriting everything.
  • Versioning

             For example, given version No. 1.2.3

             A change in,

                3 -> Patch, can be installed on the previous version (uninstall the old, then install the new).

                2 -> Content update, clean save is recommended. 

                1 -> Major update, clean save required, new save recommended.

I opened this on SSE (not AE), and got this System.json error pop on every launch.... But in the POP menu, it says System.json is fine.

So is it OK or no? I'm confused.

 

//edit: Hmm, looks like any of the "checkbox" options (like jailcells) are not working atleast.

System.json is fine for POP, but not for SUM. Make sure you update SUM to 3.0.0, and/or post a ss of SUM's System page here.

The installed Pop Ver.[6.0.0] does not match the installed Pop "System.json" file Ver. No. []. Install all the .json file that included with the installed Pop version.

Could i ignore this? the mod seems working correctly.

I have the same, "The installed Pop Ver.[6.0.0] does not match the installed Pop "System.json" file Ver. No. [].

 

Are the versions listed in Sytem.json really required ? Because I am using  SexLab 1.64.3c on Skyrim AE 1.6.353, and I don't want to update at the moment (because that's a bigger task, and I probably cannot continue my current save,  when doing so).

Edit: Oh, I didn't saw the mails further up, one needs SUM 3.0. Hmm, "requires clean save, new save recommended", guess it's better to not try this.

Have some issue with arrest status. No matter how many NPCs I kill to raise the bounty, the arrest level will always be 0 and always trigger the vanilla prison, the only way to trigger POP prison is using surrender KEY. 

 

Game Edition: SE1.5.97, all the requirements are installed.

 

Already tried Manual Reset, MCM settings are default

Perhaps you have a mod that overrides the dialog options for arrest?

 

You might want to use SSEEdit's conflict display feature:

Start SSEEdit from within MO2, right-click POP's xazPrisonOverhaulPatched.esp then choose "Apply filter to show conflicts (selected files only)".

 

That will show you whether there are any mods in your load order that are overriding POP's arrest-related dialogue changes.

SSEEDIT displayed that Dragonbornindistress.esp causing the confliction.

 

After I raised the priority of xazPrisonOverhaulPatched.esp the problem was solved.

In case folks are interested, I made a small patch that permits waiting while in prison in hardcore mode.

 

I simply commented out some lines in the source file and recompiled the script.

 

Please note that this patch will not allow you to wait after you have already been arrested and are in jail. Install this patch before getting arrested.

 

This patch is specific to POP AE 6.0.0. Do not use this patch with any other version of POP.

 

EDIT: September 2, 2024 Attached new version that works more consistently. My apologies, the previous patch did not work in many cases.

Hi Inte,

I too am having an issue with the arrest in SSE (not AE). I basically get stopped by the guards, I agree to be taken to jail, they will use the spell and it will just freeze there. The last thing displayed in the console debug is
[SUM].:debug:.StrikePose(): -> Prisoner Is Striking Pose [ZazRandomPose] from idx -1. 
(note, it looks like the idle did trigger, as in my last run I am standing with my hands behind my back)

I am using ZAZ8.0+ conversion to SSE by Pfiffy (just checking that's the right one): 

Any clue of what's going on or how to further troubleshoot? 

TBH, I haven't updated to AE because of the initial lack of LL content for AE, but if you think that going AE is a better option I'd be happy to take the plunge.

I've also noticed that after the autosave which always seems to happen, most of the events sent by [SUM] have no arguments:

[SUM].:debug:.GetPoseDevice(): -> Got device -> [] with filter [APO, Offset]. 

[SUM].:debug:.GetPose(): -> Got pose -> []. 

[SUM].:debug:.GetFinalPose(): -> Got final pose -> [] from idx 0. 

[SUM].:debug:.StrikePose(): -> Prisoner Is Striking Pose [] from idx -1.

anyone got a patch for this that forces it to obey its MCM, if you turn OFF hardcore mode this mod turns it back on and locks it if you get arrested, it also yours back on DDE settings for devices you turn off like all them stupid * anal cow bells, it also over rides DDE's functions to remove devices, i need a way to shut all this crap off

For better or worse, the Hardcore checkbox option in the MCM only controls Hardcore Mode for Minor Crimes jail time.

 

Hardcore Mode is always used for Major Crimes jail time.

then I'll find another mod, the petty nonsense of my characters needing to have 40 devices on for a 40 gold bounty, ya it equips 15 asap then keeps sounding like its equipping more regardless of settings in POP and DDE which it overrides also. i turn off devices i don't like and they get turned back on.

Wow, how did I completely missing this mod.

A feature I would like to see: Being able to restrict crowds via gender (for crowd during pillory event, crowd during chase event, or NPCs asking for entertainment during cell event).

Hello. I'm just wondering which format you saved the mcm interface image file in. I've tried to add my own image but it's not showing.

After going inside the jail cell console keeps spamming this and just me and jail master staring each other. I tried resetting ai packages from sum menu too but it still causes same things to happen.

I am using zaz 8.0+ and everything pop needs are up to date also this is new save.

Mod was just working perfectly before but one day it stopped working completely even I didn't add anything new or change something.

Not directly. But sometimes after you have completed your POP jail sentence, the POP jailer will send you to Simple Slavery instead of releasing you. Simple Slavery does have a Public Whore outcome.

Hello!

i have the same problem as DoctorFateMX above me.

I've got all requirements installed and before PoP worked. Now i get arrested and get stucked. If i disable the arrest scene they bring me to the jailer and then they are stucked again so i get never to my cell.

 

Help would be apprecciated.

This just doesn't even show up for me, nor does any of the new AE mods you posted with it. I'm sure I have all the requirements you've listed .. though I feel as if I'm missing something. I have Skyrim SE version 1.6.640
