dagobaking Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 (edited) I would be surprised if they went backward from Fallout 4 and didn't include a way to add animations in a new CK. So, an FNIS is likely not needed. Also, a lot has changed in the animation industry trade Skyrim. I'd be surprised if they aren't using FBX in their pipeline. So, there will hopefully be a complete animation solution on day one. That said, the thing that could take time is an SFSE that gives us key functions needed to actually use the new animations in mods. Edited July 19, 2023 by dagobaking 4

Being slightly pessimistic, in my old man's words: "you ain't getting shit until the foundations laid" so an script extender is the first thing to wait for.
ThyraUnn Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 I do hope there are Traditional animals as well as the exotic Alien things to get wrecked by. I also hope for Fluffy Aliens. Also with this there will hopefully be lots of Dick variety. All the dick you could want! 4
modder focker Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 I just hope I can beat the game before the sexy mods start coming out, otherwise I might never finish the game just based on how big Todd has said its gonna be lol 2

modder focker Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Haha yeah, starfield is a big game though, so hopefully I can get it done. I will also be on vacation for the first few days of early access so rip, good thing I got premium free with my new gpu
ThyraUnn Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 With the Story only being about 30 hours you will probably be done with at least that. but getting distracted or lost in something else would be understandable. I feel forgetting what you are doing and losing yourself in a side quest or sub plot is unavoidable in a Bethesda game.
ThyraUnn Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 I was just thinking today there hasn't been a Starfox Game since 2016, Lylat System mod? I wonder if you could modify a system or just add a brand new one with Creation kit 2. We will probably have to wait MONTHS after release to check out the Kit and see what it can do. But It would be fun to see a Starfox Mod. The Skyrim furry mod was pretty successful and Starfox would be easy to tie in cause Space.

Narratively, it would fit just fine. While the base Starfield character creation seems very vanilla (no evidence of color wheels), it IS set 300 years in the future. With advanced medical technology, cybernetics, and genetic modification people should be able look like whatever they heck they want. Maybe THINK how they (or what someone else) want(s) as well. 1
Blaze69 Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) Not sure why this topic was brought up in a thread ostensibly about bestiality unless it was more on the "xenophilia" side of things instead, since I really hope nobody here is any of those "anthro = zoo" braindead retards, but... 9 hours ago, ThyraUnn said: We will probably have to wait MONTHS after release to check out the Kit and see what it can do. Nonhuman race mods won't really be a matter of "see what the Kit can do", but more a matter of "when (or if) we get the tools that can work and import the required assets". Right now creating custom anthro race mods for FO4 and Skyrim is as easy as it ever gets thanks to the PyNifly Blender addon making it trivial to work on and export custom headparts + chargen/expression morph data, which is precisely the core of any real race mod. We probably won't know for sure until we can get our hands on the actual game file, but from what has been shown so far, Starfield's chargen system seems to be an evolution of FO4's which has its downsides (like hair not supporting alpha blending, which makes hair and specially facial hair look like shit) and its upsides; one of the upsides is assuming it still uses TRI files for chargen/expression morphs, as soon as PyNifly equivalent is made (or if Beth got their heads out of their assets and made official plugins for anything that isn't an outdated and no-longer-legally-available version of 3DS Max), it should be possible to get nonhumans into the game as playable races. 9 hours ago, ThyraUnn said: The Skyrim furry mod was pretty successful And the plan is to achieve the same with any hypothetical Starfield version of the mod, yes. Although again, it's too early to tell whether that'll be a thing for real or not. 1 hour ago, Reigor said: Narratively, it would fit just fine. While the base Starfield character creation seems very vanilla (no evidence of color wheels), it IS set 300 years in the future. With advanced medical technology, cybernetics, and genetic modification people should be able look like whatever they heck they want. Personally, while the setting may indeed have the technology to tinker with genetics or replace bodyparts with cybernetics in whatever shape one may want, it doesn't feel like it'd be something actually widespread or affordable by 99% of the population. The setting is not... cyberpunk-ish enough for that, I think. Maybe vat-grown surgically-attached "cat ears and tails" kind of thing for the uber-rich, but that's not actually anthro or nonhuman despite normies insisting on it. For example, one of the things that you'd expect to be first to be available if that kind of body modification existed in-universe would be unusual/exotic skin tones (like blue and pink and such), and the first NPCs I'd apply those options to would be precisely the dancers in the Neon nightclub. Which actually are just bog-standard humans with wonky-ass costumes instead of being blue-skinned Totally-Not-Asari-I-Swear-Please-Don't-Sue-Me-EA Babes From Venus. So that tells something about this specific topic regarding the game's setting. I only picture proper anthros as more of a "genetic engineering to create supersoldiers/made by a Doctor Moreau-wannabe mad scientist" thing instead. Which is admittedly very trope-y, but it's the only way I can see for that technology to actually be applied to this end, at least from what we've seen so far. Edited August 14, 2023 by Blaze69 2

Gray User Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 I'm going to add my voice to the chorus that says: It will all depend on what tools are needed to make animations, how hard those tools are to acquire, and how long it takes for someone to do the hard work on the back end to make a framework for triggering and managing animations in-game. I don't think animating skill or motivation will be limiting factors here. 1
scarletrobe303 Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 We need some extra rapey aliens and the tentacle and blob monsters like the ones from the Skyrim esterus mod. 3
Guest Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 For my end: I haven't preordered out of principle, so I won't be able to play until the actual launch on the 6th. After that I'm probably gonna spend a solid month or so just binging it, and waiting for tools to start coming out. Once I have the ability to rip models and pull them into blender, I'll start working on adding pussies to all the critters (might take a minute at first as I don't have any experience modeling genitalia, but it'll speed up once I get the hang of it), and start seeing if there's anyone interested in implementing those in-game. If not, I'll have to start researching how to do it myself. After that's all done, if no one else has picked up the slack, I can start on them alien cocks, but that'll probably be a slower process as those aren't the type of anatomy I'm into so it'll be harder to motivate myself. As said up top, my skill set really only includes modelling right now, so all I can do is start getting those made and pray for people smarter than I to start work on the tools and animations to make use of them.
Reigor Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Some should have both and/or ovipositors, and other stranger sex organs. These are alien creatures, so as long as they have a life cycle that has a logic to it. 3
Halstrom Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 I'm hoping its going to be as easy as FONV and FO4 were. It will depend a lot on animators and the heavy scripting lords to create a sex framework. And I'll be grabbing that creation kit when it's released, but I don't expect it for at least 6 months 4
dereIict Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Fallout 4 dropped Nov. 10, 2015 and the Fallout 4 Creation Kit dropped April. 26, 2016 (about 5 months later) I assume we're going to see the same with Starfield. Probably wont get the Starfield creation kit for a few months after launch, so I assume all the mods we see at launch will be pretty basic. This quick video I found pretty insightful for what the Starfield modding timeline will probably be like, so I assume we wont get any crazy sex mods until later on. 2

Bad news is ... do these alien creatures use penis? Oh they will, the most assuredly will. I would go so far as to guess that a large percentage of said penises will resemble the equine variety.
Miauzi Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 The whole thing will probably be a lot more complicated than Skyrim or Fallout - because the CK alone is NOT enough ... especially not for animations
FurryestX Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Brooooother.... i might would think about smashing an alien if they weren't UGLY AF... i mean Deathclaws are my limit (Also bcasue they demonstrate to be a bit intelligent on Fallout Tactics "Yes, tactics is cannon"), like mate, i have some standards... And UGLYNESS... oh boy, that's were i draw the fucking line brother
