We definitly should keep the control ability in mind 😉. However- it is not said, that every Xenomorph has got this powers. 

For full potential, we should wait, until something like the FO 4 willpower in implemented. On one hand, the PC could get more prone to mind control (hypnosis), on the other hand, make sure, she is not stuck forever (bound in public).

ive had this idea where the player sides/is controlled to get the negotiate an agreement with the UC counsel. one side gets giant armored killing machines and the other gets free food, shelter, and pets safe place for their young. they even have a underground space full of breeding stock free space.

 

how would you convince the counsel? well besides the military application offer, you could use that mind control implant or have a bunch of said killing machines in the room, maybe have them demonstrate that they're 'friendly.'

The counsel would be very hesitant to violate the treaty concerning bio weapons with the free star collective and house Varun.

Perhaps a department of a secret service could contact the player (e.g. to counter new threads like the starborn). But it could lead to plot holes, why these secret weapons are not deployed, if need is.

Personally, I would not interfere too much in the balance of power.

there's also the option to sneak an infestation into the well without the UC knowing, use cultist/mind controlled people to supply food, not like anyone cares about the well, not even the writers.
