Yes. I have planned to do primates at some point, but I cannot give any dates.

I have taken things a bit slower this last week because I felt that I needed a short break from the project. That being said, I have done a great deal of work on the rhino race since I took the last progress photos and currently plan to release an initial version of the race either this Sunday or sometime on Monday.

This is so exciting! Your Hippotem gal is so cute! I think it's nice to have this as an alternative to completely changing up every humanoid race into a furrified race, and I'm stoked for the Hyena ones (been trying to figure out a way to implement a Hyena race in my load order for some time so as to recreate my wife's old Gnoll d&d character). Can't wait for what comes next!

For anyone that has missing hands in first person view while using the standalone version of the hippo race, you have to go into SSEdit or creation kit and change the armor addon.

The initial version of my rhinoceros race is releasing later today. I just need to do a quick fix in the inside of the mouth and get confirmation from Acro for using his body normal maps.

At least as of right now, I only plan to make female versions of my races, but I do not exclude the possibility of making male versions some time in the distant future.

 

As of a few weeks back, I have had instructions on the main page of the mod pack that would allow you to apply the model sculpt on males, so the biggest hurdle is already out of the way for you if you want to do it yourself. Granted, you would still have to modify the male diffuse textures.

Sadly, I am still waiting for permission from Acro to use his normal maps, so it remains to be seen when I can actually upload the rhino race. In the meantime, I have worked on the pig race, so much so that it is also more or less ready for an initial release. Hopefully, Acro does not take too long with the reply so that I can push these two races out as soon as possible.

I have now received permission from Acro to use his normal maps, but I have yet to do the mouth tweaks to my rhino race and I am still making regular adjustments to the textures of my pig race. As such, users can now rest assured that both races will release before the weekend, but I will not give a specific date. I may finish them both tomorrow, or it may take until the end of Friday. It mostly depends on how far I want to go with the pig textures and various tint masks.

The pig race is now ready for an initial release and the rhino race only needs a few very minor tweaks before it also is ready. Both races will release simultaneously this Friday. In all likelihood, they will both drop sometime before noon if you live in the UTC or UTC+1 time zones. The Hippotem race will also receive an updated version with new normal maps, though it will by no means be the last iteration of the race.

The pig race and rhinoceros race have now been released. I intend to release new, vastly improved versions of both races further down the line, but for now, I plan to move on to new species. I hope you will all enjoy these new races in the meantime. It took me a lot of time and effort to make them.

As of right now. No, but who knows in the future.

 

Beyond making more races, the next two steps on my modding journey is to learn how to export and important the .nif meshes from Skyrim between the game and a third party 3D modeling software and to then get my hands on Substance Painter so that I can start baking normal maps from scratch instead of tediously modifying existing normal maps by hand in Photoshop. After that, I will probably try to learn how to make my races standalone using plugin files. Only after all of that is done would the prospect of me doing followers of my races become a realistic prospect for me to pursue.

I am going to let the poll run for a little while longer before I proceed with a new race from among the five most voted categories. In the meantime, I have started working on a new race. I began this morning, and after only around 6 hours of development I already managed to get to something that looked pretty decent. As you can see, the race is on good track to completion.

I am making good progress on the Camelid race and I have also started working on a dragon race. I have included some progress images for the Camelid, but you will have to stay tuned for progress images of the dragon. It could take some time as I might make both a short snouted and a long snouted dragon race.

An updated version of the Rheenen race is now available. By and large, it is much the same as the initial release version, but there are a number of significant improvements and additions:

- the brows and eyes have undergone somewhat of a redesign and are now much more symmetrical than they were before. They also no longer have the weird "shine" effect from earlier caused by the normal map of the head

- a retraction has been made to the corners of the mouth so that it better accommodates gagged facial expressions

- a PHP facial expression pack featuring 37 gagged facial expressions now comes with the race

 

In other news, I also plan to release an updated version of the Hippotem race before the weekend. It will have new normal maps and a slightly reworked head, but be aware that these iterations will be different from what I have planned further down the line. I might also release a new version of the Boegen race with fixed seams during the same time frame, but I will not make any promises.
