Races of Nature – A Custom Race Collection View File INFO Races of Nature – A Custom Race Collection is an ever-expanding collection of animal-style custom races made by yours truly. Each race comes with its own, hand-crafted RaceMenu presets that will allow you to give a pre-existing race a completely new appearance in the form of an entirely new race. All of my races come with their own texture replacers, and all that are fully completed have multiple, race-specific PoserHotkeysPlus facial expression packs for those who use PHP. MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT (posted 2025-02-18 / 02/18/25) As always, I'm terribly sorry for the long wait. Something came up late last year that I had to prioritize and with all of the recent changes to FlowGPT's website I decided to focus on getting all of my ChatGPT scenarios in working order. You guys have had to wait so long for new races, and I feel terrible about it. The reason for my reluctance has always been the pure amount of man hours I have to put down to make these races. First of all, I don't have any software for painting straight on 3D meshes, so I've always had to rely on Photoshop CS6 to create textures. Secondly, the way I make heads for brand new races is by re-sculpting other head meshes in-game from the ground up and those meshes that I use are highly asymmetrical by default. These two aspects alone make it such an agonizingly slow and iterative process to make new races that it often just saps the creativity and willingness out of you, but I promise to resume my work none-the-less. As soon as I get Joys of Tamriel up to speed and finish the first release version for The Barbarian Chronicles, which should only take a few more days or maybe a week at most, I plan to resume my work on the project. This time, it's really happening. No more excuses. And seeing as some people have expressed an interest in some of my old unreleased race morphs, I might upload some of those as well. Please be aware that I'm finally considering updating my SSE build after holding out since shortly before AE was released. If I do, it could obviously put another lengthy pause on the project, but the Skyrim modding scene has made such massive strides these last few years that it's getting to a point now where I find it hard not to upgrade. My races work on all versions of the game as a result of how they're implemented, so none of you need to worry even if I do continue to use my current mod build. The race-polls are still active, by the way, but from now on, I think it's best if they're purely advisory in nature. If I start working on a race I don't really want to make, I think the frustrating nature of the design process could easily kill my momentum and there would be another long hiatus of no work, so me making races I actually want to make is for the best. I plan to finish the American bison race first and I'll then move on to work on something entirely new. All in all, I'm happy to resume my work on the project. As long as you have Racemenu and some sort of morphable, female body mod (preferably, 3BA), you could easily change the proportions to be whatever you wish. The presets simply come with the shown proportions because they seem appropriate for the animals in question. DISCLAIMER FOR THOSE LOOKING TO PLAY AS A MALE CHARACTER All of my RaceMenu character presets are made with a female player character in mind, and it is therefore unwise to assume that everything will work perfectly if you try to use them with a male player character or male NPC. Nevertheless, I have outlined some additional instructions – at the end of the HOW TO USE section of this page – that should allow you to create a male version of the presets with relative ease. HOW TO USE (These instructions assume that you already have RaceMenu and the specific requirements of the RaceMenu character preset in question) Once you are in the character creation menu (showracemenu), do the following: 1. under the ALL section, select female for your sex if you have not already done so 2. go to the PRESETS section and find a preset of mine that you want to use. Do not click it yet; just find out what race it needs. View File The Old Way My characters presets collection. Uncomplete as I didn't find everything. (some were bound to my Teremiss mod) A preset is in twice as the first version for some reason couldn't be loaded by racemenu. You're free to do what you want, just no part in any case should be posted on Nexus. I'm not supporting hitler's goons and some stupid authors. (yeah got a theory by whom and why I got banned lmao) Selina Vanka (female imperial); Tyelth Garan (male altmer) and Oz'Morb (female dunmer) are my absolute favourites if you want to know. Hopefully you'll enjoy playing or using them for mods or whatever. (: My "gift" to the community as I quenched my yearly thirst of Skyrim, should be back next year.
