{UPDATE - Elin Voice v2.1 with Throw Voice Replacer Options} Tera Elin Race

Recommended Posts

For awhile I noticed my Elin was sitting on the carriage bench.  I think I was using that mod that removed the Race2Scale flag from furnitures.  However, it increased clipping when using furnitures.

The other issues are caused by a small race being affected by game mechanics meant for adult characters.

k, lol sorry for all theses questions and requests, also it seems i found another bug, this time with the mannequins, when i enter a house and they have black eye my game will crash when i open them, and also they seem to be crashing me randomly when i enter, or load a room with them, and it does not do it all the time

maybe make theses armors compatible with the textures, they look good on Elins

Well the issue was the armor pack before, odd ah well

The files links are listed in the OP.  Some are files need to be downloaded from Nexux or a cloud service while most of the Elin files are downloaded from the forum downloader.  Locate the Skyrim folder.  Inside is the Data folder.  That is where you add the mod files and folders.  The main SKSE files are added to the Skyrim folder itself, but it's Scripts folder is placed in the Data folder.

Ok....I think I got everything set...But when I load Skyrim   the Bethesda logo appears then the game closes

I appreciate your response...but o.o what? I have a -snip-....Im probably gonna have to re-install,l the game cuz I didn't make a backup file...that way I will have a fresh folder. any way you could provide a link to the download locations please?   thanks :)   :edit:   I kind of understand what your saying. Im installing the new file now, but Im not sure what or where each of those files are xD

Uh oh. That's gonna be a problem. Best you keep from mentioning that. The rules say no assistance is to be given with that kind of thing and discussion of it earns a topic a lockin'.

Also, it just causes all sorts of extra problems that wouldn't normally happen in a game.

Well, if your game worked before and doesn't now, that problem usually means you're missing a mod's master file. I don't think that'd be particularly different despite your circumstances.

I downloaded the master and installed with NMM....before I istalled it I saw the meassage to install Creating a Playable Race - The right way - Racial Compatibility v1-7    so I did that then I installed ElinRace v1.3c and followed the instructions

:EDIT:  I think its the taint file that's causing the crash because when I disable it in the datafiles spot in the launcher the game doesn't crash

Here is what I have downloaded:   Creating a Playable Race - The right way - Racial Compatibility v1-7         2013Oct30-MAIN-ElinRace_v1.4.7z            2014Apr15-FIX-ElinRaceTaint-Add RamTail+Replaced Wrong FoxTail.7z          ElinBard_v2.2-BETA.7z

in NMM    First I click on the: Creating a Playable Race - The right way - Racial Compatibility v1-7 and activate that   then I activate the 2013Oct30-MAIN-ElinRace_v1.4.7z            I get prompts which I choose  Default for 3rd person skeleton....English-Small   Race Compatibility (not sure which one to do...) I tried all three   and for tera body  I pick non-nude.   then click finish.  next I activate  ElinBard_v2.2-BETA.7z   and ElinRaceTaint-Add RamTail+Replaced Wrong FoxTail.7z   then I click the Launch Skyrim.I check the Data files and all the boxes are checked  so I click Play...Bathesda appears then it fades the main menu flashes for half a second and the game closes with no error messages.

Uninstall  "Creating a Playable Race - Racial Compatibility v1-7", it's outdated.  The Elin Main Pack contains Race Compabitlity (by Himika; based on Creating a Playable Race).  You can install that or, instead, install Race Compatiblity by TMPhoenix (also based on Creating a Playable Race).  Both serve the same purpose, but achieves them differently, so do not install both or you will get script errors.

Also it would help if you post your load order (list of master files and plugins).  I don't use NMM so someone can chime in and provide that detail.  Alternative is to post a screenshot.  Windows comes with a simple screenshot tool (Start > Programs > Accessories > Snipping Tool).  Make a screenshot of NMM's window show the load order and convert the image to JPEG.

A little info for anyone interested, I spoke with Ac3s days ago and he gave me permission to make Elin replacers for his Tel Nalta player home.  He mentioned making an expansions to the Tel Nalta home, but it will take some time (months; a few).  I was going to wait for the expansion, but decided to go ahead and start on the replacers for the current version of Tel Nalta and make an update, if needed, when he finally releases the expansion.

Screenshot #10 is what I'm referring to when asking about load order.  NMM should show the same or similar from the PLUGINS tab.

Your load order is all wrong.  The way it works, master files are loaded first then plugins.  The first file on top of the list (skyrim.esm) is loaded first then the next file then the next.

The load order for an unmodded game would be:

  1. Skyrim.esm (loaded first)
  2. Update.esm (loaded second)

The load order for an unmodded game + all 3 DLCs would be:

  1. Skyrim.esm
  2. Update.esm
  3. Dawnguard.esm
  4. Hearthfires.esm
  5. Dragonborn.esm

In your situation, the load order (screenshot #10) is wrong and should be:

  1. Skyrim.esm (loaded first)
  2. RaceCompatibility.esm
  3. ElinRace.esm
  4. ElinRaceTaint.esm
  5. MikuHairElin.esp
  6. Elin New Body.esp
  7. ElinBard.esp (loaded last)

You can move the entries by drag/drop the master file or plugin to their correct order then making sure they are activated.  Do this with the Skyrim load list (screenshot #10) and check your game.  If the game crashes, check with the NMM load order and reorder the files just like you did with the Skyrim load list.

I have attached screenshots of the order how I do the installations    I didn't install the compatibility like you said and I still crashed...

MABINOGUI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehe yo también  juego

Ive ordered them In NMM   but in the skyrim data files  its backwards.  how do I move those ones?

:edit:  ummm Idk if its just my imagination but....when I tried running the game without the mods running I started a new game and when playing in first person it almost seems im a lot shorter then I should be.

The Data Files from the Skyrim Launcher should look like this.

There should be UP/Down arrow buttons used for moving the files in the load order.

for some reason, no matter what I do...it just doesn't want to work...Ive managed to get another mod to work that I got off the nexus for hairs.

should NMM be installed in the Skyrim folder, or does it not make a difference?

I tried Mod Organizer  it seems to be a lot like NMM but I couldn't get the order  to move...and LOOT gave a wrong order.    Im not sure what else to do... maybe Its because I might not have the latest version of skyrim :\    its too bad... I really like this mod.

I can't help you with NMM because I use MO.  MO has a mod priority list (left side) and the load order (right side).  Try exiting then starting MO to see if you can move the mods in the mods list.  You can also change the Priority of a mod by PRESS-HOLD (about 1sec) then RELEASE the mod's priority number.  You can now change the number and make the mod's priority lower (lower number) or higher priority (higher number).  Like a load order, the lowest priority mod will be virtually loaded first and the highest priority mod will be virtually loaded after all others.

An alternative to using a mod manager is to directly edit LoadOrder.txt used by Skyrim.

Step 1 - Unhide Hidden files and folders.

  1. Open START > Control Panel.
  2. Click on Appearance and Personalization.
  3. Click on Folder Options.
  4. In the new window, choose the VIEW tab.
  5. Under HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS, choose Show All Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives.
  6. Click Apply then Okay to exit.

Step 2 - Find and Edit LOAD ORDER.txt.

  1. Go to C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Skyrim.
  2. Open LoadOrder.txt in Notepad and rearrange the list.  This is the load order list used by Skyrim and other apps like Creation Kit and TES5edit.  You need to arrange the list just like what you did to NMM.
  3. Do not delete Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, and any DLC master files if you have them.
  4. Save the changes and exit.
  5. Check your game.  First try with NMM and if having problems, go ahead and use the Skyrim launcher (TESV.exe).
  6. If you are still using MO then the LoadOrder.txt edit will do nothing since MO uses a virtual folder system.

I have not tried LOOT yet, but I don't think their master list contains any of the Elin mods.  I did a search of their Master Listting and nothing came up, not even ElinRace.esm.  I could have been doing something wrong, don't know for sure until I switch over from BOSS.

You could play it if you realy want you know.

It obvious your whole approach and installation is wrong, pitty nobody here tells you why plus on your part it seems you haven't a clue what your doing.

To be blunt its not like a console click and play and it works with a PC game little different, you have to work harder for this to work or it fails misrable over and over again.

Watch some tutorials and learn how to mod your game.

For beginner i suggest start with NMM its alot more easy then MO   which is better but for a total newbie i say start with NMM offcourse your choice what you prefer.

Read readme files of mods listend to what mod makers have to say about mod and its compatibillity.

I don't see SKSE 1.7 installed(must have for memory patch follow instructions)?

If you have installed this first start up skyrim normally with launcher when done that only start up with SKSE or game CRASHES.

Use boss and TES5EDIT clean mods(watch tutorials how to do this google is your friend)?

LOADORDER type in search %appdata% then click local and skyrim map you have your loadorder list there.

Official skyrim? Which is only way to play.

If so update to latest version.

Through steam.

Unoffciall patches for skyrim and expansions all of them.

PC specs would help if your pc can handle skyrim and modded game.

You need to remove everything prior to your crashed instalation if you use NMM again or you get conflict with old info on previous install.

Good luck.

Actually, LOOT is BOSS, just the latest version, they changed the name since it's not only for Oblivion anymore. As for the masterlist, BOSS does contain the Elin esm and esp files but LOOT use a brand new system instead of the old masterlist. It actually analyse the mods content before ordering them. I haven't had any problem with mod orders so far using LOOT and i'm close to the maximum allowed number of esp files since i'm using the S.T.E.P Extended project as well as other mods.

As for Mod Organizer, the wiki should explain everything. I've been using it for a long time now and i find it way better than the alternatives NMM and Wrye Bash. It just take some time to get used to it and discover all it's functionality. (Well it did also take time to learn to use NMM and Wrye Bash).

Some people just amaze me.  I'm too tired right now to laugh.

@Aximili

I used their Masterlist Search function and nothing Elin-related showed up.  LOOT does not use a list like BOSS?  Does that mean there will no longer be unrecognized plugins?  I'll have to switch over a.s.a.p..

UPDATE - Uploaded a fix for the eyes glitching after using invisibility potions and spells (when in 3rd person).

May be a conflict with any other fixes that does not edit the eye meshes or replaces the eye meshes with pre-edited versions (yep, too tired).  Since the Elins use their own eye meshes, any fixes that replaces the vanilla races eyes will not conflict with my fix.

Installation

Extract the archive and add the Meshes folder to your Data folder.  Allow overwriting of Eyes.nif, Eyesleft.nif, Eyesright.nif.

Ive reordered the mods in MO like you said...when I load the Skyrim launcher and look in the data files they are still out of order and I noticed that for some reason the new elin body is unselected.      I played around with MO looked around to see if I could find any conflicts. Clicking on ElinRace on the Mod name side and in the conflict side I saw this (attached file)    I do not have the ske 1.7 memory patch....is that something I need?

Well maybe it was because i added some rules for the elin plugins with BUM but i can't remember. As for LOOT, that's exactly what it does, no more unrecognized plugins. You can still order things manually though by giving some plugins priority values, which is better and easier than what we had to do with BOSS and it's userlist.

This is not really a conflict in this case if you ordered the mods properly, more like an update. Now if you're using MO, then you have to launch skyrim through MO, as long as the mods are properly ordered in MO under the plugins tab (just check the priority values) it's okay. I never ever check the list in the skyrim laucher as it tends to mess things up, as long as it's properly ordered in MO and the mods are activated, it's good. You should also install SKSE and launch SKSE instead of skyrim through MO.

It would probably be easier for you to understand if we could just show you what to do.
