No worries with the formIDs if that's gonna make things harder on you, I've been busy at work since my last post was made ==> not much progress made on my side. Will be having a few days off here soon to actually get on it though. Thanks for keeping me up to date.

If you don't mind waiting another 2-3 days, I should have the latest merged hairs done by then.  I'm done with merging the new Apachii hairs and will make an All Hairs - AIO option.  Also, I got permission from zn00p to include his Lovely Hairstyles so I'll be adding the LITE version to the merged hairs.

I'm going to try to avoid having to renumber the Form IDs during the merge process, but if renumbering means getting everything done faster then I'll likely take that course of action.

Update to the previous unofficial All-in-One hairs.

  • Total Hairs:  322.
  • Labeled ElinRace v2, but compatible with ElinRace v1.4.
  • With permission from Apachii, Morten Howard, and zn00p, I have added the necessary files from Apachii Hairs v1.4+v1.5, Morten Hairs, and Lovely Hairstyles Lite.  Original hair mods not required, but if you are already using those hair mods, the Elin hair pack will overwrite some of the files.  They are the same files so you can either allow overwrite or not.
  • Merged ElinRaceTaint.esm with ElinRace.esm.
  • All-in-One Hairs master file contains the following:
    • Apachii Sky Hairs v1.4 + v1.5
    • Lovely Hairstyles Lite version
    • Morten Hairs 1 + 2
    • Cazy/CCC/Sims/Newsea/Demoness
    • Sims
    • J Hairs
    • Inphy
  • ElinRace v2 Hairs AIO - Master Files + Alt Elin Files contain the following:
    • ElinRace.esm (merged with ElinRaceTaint.esm).
    • ElinRace v2 HairsAIO.esm.
    • FOLDER: alt Elin head mesh and morphs to reduce the clippings when using Elin-Apachii hairs 1.4.

Hey I seem to be having a weird issue. When I install the main race pack (1.4.7) I get a CTD the moment I launch the game. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? This is my first time trying out this race, and I don't have any other custom race mods installed

Crashing before the main menu appears indicates a missing dependency (master file).  If this happens after installing the main pack then the first thing to come to mind is a missing Race Compatibility.esm (master file).

 

You can either reinstall and choose the option to install Race Compatibility (this one is by Himika) or extract the main pack archive and copy/paste the contents of "00 Racial Compatibility" to your Data folder.  If using Mod Organizer then add the Racial Compatibility files to the MO folder containing the Elin main pack files.

 

You also have the option to install Race Compatibility by TMPhoenix (separate download and install) instead of the version by Himika that comes with the Elin race.  Both serve the same purpose.  If you choose RC by TMPhoenix then do not install RC by Himika or else you will get script errors.  Install one or the other, but not both.

Are you editing the Elin NPC and Enemy mods?  Will you be using the alt head files?  I was going to start on updating the NPC mods for Elin v2 which will use the alt head files, but if you are doing the same then I can start on something else.

Alright now I'm having an issue with the Elin NPC/Enemy Mod. I either get stuck in loading screen or CTD when I enter Whiterun, any idea what might be causing this? It only occurs when NPC/Enemy is installed.

Infinite loads in a city is caused by running out of game memory, probably. Try SSME and the SKSE alpha.

Too many npcs spawning in one area can eat up memory real quick.  You can try SSME as Mud suggested, but also try uninstalling hi-res textures, anything that improves meshes, such as SMIME, and anything that adds additional world models, such as Skyrim Flora Overhaul.

Are the master files (RACE/HAIR) you provided earlier going to be the ones used for the long run? Or just for testing? I'll be getting to work on the lists this coming weekend if so.

As long as they work bug-free for anyone testing them then, yes, they are the final version.  They will be officially released with Elin v2 which will be using the alt head files.

 

Are you planning on finding a fix for Elin Aela?  She looks normal until she transforms in the underforge, afterwards, she appears with her human body and the Elin head.  She also tends to become invisible and her tail stretches to infinite.  I have no explanation for this considering when I was testing Moonlight Tales, Elin Lydia would transform into a werewolf, but return to her normal Elin appearance when transforming back.

Hmm, I don't really associate with the companions very much... had no idea about the Aela bug till you mentioned it >_>. Just would prefer that if I'm going to go through the monster that is the extended npc list, that it be something that will be update-able without another comb through. That list is ridiculously long (thinking 12ish hours of work once i get in the groove)... the other ones aren't so bad. (new npc, npc, enemy ==> maybe an hour or so of work)

Thought it would. I pretty much prescribe SSME as the first option for seemingly random game freezes and crashes, because my game was pretty close to unplayable until the memory mods came along.

 

My game would freeze in Ivarstead with startling frequency. Freakin' IVARSTEAD, man. And that one tower of bandits near Bleak Falls Barrow. Damn baffling, that one.

Looks like I'll also need to update the DLC Additions and finish the Tel Nalta NPC replacers.

 

Elin v2 will use all new bodies, Groovtama's skeleton and ECE sliders, converted Tera armors (with permission by Asianboy345) for the Tera body, and maybe some new abilities.  I was thinking about adding chakras to their arsenal.

Need help with Master Robes on Elins.

Its literally the only problem I had with this mod so far. Everything else works like a charm.

 

Wouldn't even be playing Skyrim right now if it weren't for this mod. Keep up the good work.

Forget about v1.5, I'm resuming v2 since it will contain any and all changes that would have been made for v1.5 and it did not make sense for everyone to update twice when one major update will be enough.

The converted Elin armors do not contain robes and the fox armors are standalone.  Neither would replace the vanilla mages robes.

 

Did you try reinstalling the Elin NPC files?

Are you using BOSS or LOOT to sort your load order?  You can also try moving the Elin npc plugins lower in the load order. 

 

And of course there is the, "can you post your load order?" question.
