The Elins come with the Showracemenu PreCache Killer which needs SKSE, but unless you plan on installing all of the Elin hairs, SKSE is not needed right now.  That is why I did not mention SKSE, it will do jack-crap to fix your load order.  If you are only running minimum mods, like the ones you posted earlier then there would not be an issue with memory.

 

The conflict you posted is nothing to worry about.  The Elin Bard uses a conversion of one of Apachii's hair.  The conflict is the Elin's hair morph overriding the file of the same name from the vanilla game.  There is nothing to worry about as this is needed only for the Elins and will not have any negative effects to other races.

 

When you start piling on the mods and use memory hogs like hair packs, 2k or 4k texture replacers, better meshes, adding NPCS, adding new models into the world, or ENB then memory becomes an issue and now we can talk about memory patches and optimization practices.

Whew... extracting and listening to all these voice files to select potential candidates for a follower sure takes a bloody long time. Neptune's lines are surprisingly versatile, there's even a few that I might be able to use as lines spoken in places like dwarven ruins.

Where can you get Apachi 1.1a hair pack? I can't see it in the nexus site. Is it no longer required or am I missing something here?

Apachii made some changes since I release those Elin-Apachii hairs.  I made some new conversions for Apachii 1.3 and 1.5 and will be included with the next update because I'm making some changes to the race so that some of the Apachii hairs from 1.3 (particularly the Forsworn and bandana style hairs) will be accessible to the Elins.

Im just gonna do what I mostlikely have to do (and to make things easier) Im just going to get the game off steam and all the expansions...Ive wanted to play them anyway :)

EHHMEHGAASH! Its working!!!!      lol turns out the issue was what we all knew was haha... worth the buy.   Now....when I get other elin mods such as updates or something...does the order matter as long as its before bard and after the elinrace?   and completely different mods? that goes after anything to do with elin mod?

Congratulations, glad to hear everything is now working properly.

 

As for installation order, just follow the instructions on the first post, under "Mods and Their Installation Order".

 

What I have not posted, yet, are the game patches SafetyLoad and Skyrim Startup Memory Editor (SSME).  Some people claim SafetyLoad will crash your game when going into your inventory so the choice is yours.  If you want to try it out then after installation, go to DATA > SKSE > PLUGINS and open SafetyLoad.ini in Notepad.  Do the following:

 

Change EnableOnlyLoading = false

 

to EnableOnlyLoading = true

 

This will make SafetyLoad only fix the loading screen.

 

I suggest you hold off on using SafetyLoad and SSME until you start adding more mods to your game.  If you're running only the Elin mods and your game runs fine then don't use the patches.

 

You will also need the Unofficial Patches at Nexus.

I didn't see the bard girl shown in the video....Do I have to start the bard college first?    I installed the NPC elins....they are EVERYWHERE!

 

^   ^  ---->  Maybe I misunderstand what the elin bard actually is....Is it actually a new skill?

The Elin Bard is an NPC.  She is located in the lower level next to the kitchen/dining area at the Bard's College.  There is an entrance to the lower level at the side of the building.  Enter, walk down the hallway and make the first left turn.

Ah gotta wait for the new version to arrive then in order to use that hair pack.

 

Another question though:

I added quiet a few mods after making sure elinrace worked just fine. However after adding all that, I can't see any armors on the elinrace anymore. Even when starting a new game, it shows the model as naked. Any idea what this might be about? Should I reinstall everything about Elin race again(or just armor pack for it) or is it fixable by just rearranging mods in Mod Order?

  Sorry to always be nagging about the npc extensions... but, I found another error. There's a Ram Tail on Elinhair 07BN the hairs with the N are supposed to have no Ears or Tails. Could you please fix that in the extensions?

Here you go.  ElinRaceTaint is the only one that adds Hair 07BN.

I don't mind fixing the hairs.  Best to do it now because I'm going to be merging them with the Elin race master file.

Problem is it would be a huge work which could introduce new problems. Which is why I was hoping some lead to what might cause this specifically. Maybe it is due skeleton? I don't know really what could conflict in such a way that armor doesn't show up. So any lead would be appreciated on finding the problem. :)

Are you using Mod Organizer?  MO can show mod conflicts.  If you see a green "+" or red "-" next to the mod, there is some type of conflict.  If the armors in question has those signs, especially a red "-", next to it then right-click on the mod name and choose INFORMATON.  Go to the CONFLICTS tab and it will show you what mod is overriding the armors or if the armors are overriding another mod.

 

If your mod manager shows no clear indications of a conflict, try reinstaliing the armors.  To be sure, the armors are appearing in your game, but when equipping them on the Elins, they are invisible, but earlier they were working normally.

 

If the armors are still invisible on your Elin then try moving the armor plugins lower in the load order starting at the very bottom.

Sadly I use NMM, easiest to use overall. Annoying to use many Mod Organizers. However I do have TESS5Edit. Not sure how to check conflicts on it besides checking that everything works though.

 

However I did spot the conflicting mod. I got the armors to show up after reinstalling everything.

But when I reinstalled Shlongs for Skyrim mod second time, the armors were invisible again on Elin race. So there has to be something conflicting between them somehow?

 

Also as a side note, I noticed gauntlets were still showing up, only body armor wasn't. Also completely off note, I reinstalled SoS second time cause of hanging shlongs in mid air to see if it would have helped the problem. Might not be related nor your problem but just saying. :P

SOS is one of those mods I have, but yet to use.  The Elin skeleton does not have genital nodes.  If equipping the schlong causes the cuirass to disappear then it sound like they both use the same body slot much like when changing armors the second armor replaces the first.  I'm only guessing and don't know for sure until I try out SOS.

 

Have you tried the UNP SOS Schlongs for Females?  Whatever (beast) skeleton it uses, just make sure to copy it over to the 2chElin Fix folder and rename the skeleton to "skeletonfemale.nif".  It might alter the Elins body because it's not edited for the Elin shape.

I can't seem to get the optional textures to work. I installed with NMM and it installed. I see the files in the DATA folder, but there is no effect and I do not see any other files to overwrite. Love the mod though!!! Thanks.

Are the base textures that you install when choosing a body appearing in your game?  If you reinstall the body and choose a different base texture, does the new one appear?

 

I should be more specific.

 

When installing the New Elin body pack, you have the options to install some basic texture options.  I'm referring to those textures and not the ones from the texture pack.

The 2chElin Textures Fix folder contains the files used by the custom Elin bodies (Tera Body uses 2chElin fix).

 

If your having problems installing the texture pack with NMM then go ahead and install them manually.  They use the same folders as the base textures.

I needed to make sure there were no issues with the custom body pack since it contains some important texture files that are absent from the optional texture pack.  The optional texture pack only contains the detail maps (femalehead#.dds, femalebody_1.dds, and femalehands_1.dds).

 

Forgot to explain, the female head detail maps in 2chElin > face > Monli are numbered 1-4 because they are the texture options you choose in the COMPLEXION slider.

I manually installed, it just overwrote the files NMM placed 6 in total femalehead 1, 2 , 3, 4 in textures/actors/2chElin fix/face/Monli. femalebody_1 and femalehands_1 located textures/actors/ 2chElin texture fix. No base files are overwritten. There are no files named femalebody_1 or femalehands_1 in the base mod. Do the UNP textures only work on custom body pack?

The UNP texture only work on the Elin UNP body.  It would have no effect the Tera Body.

 

Check that you have "ElinRace - Use UNP BBP Body.esp" activated in your load order.  Did you happen to install the Tera Body nude textures?  The nude option also uses a plugin, "elin new body.esp".  If you see that and the plugin for the custom UNP body, one will override the other depending on which is lower in the load order.  You can either deactivate the "elin new body.esp" or move the UNP plugin lower to override it.

 

Also it's strange that when manually adding the UNP textures from the texture pack, the detail maps did not overwrite any files you should already have.

 

Let me know if the plugins I mentioned are the cause of the problem because if not then you might need to manually install the New Elin Body pack.

Well, if it comes down to it, you may need to reinstall some files from the New Elin Body pack.  For UNP, you'll need to install the files from these folders and in this order:

  1. 00 UNP Core.
  2. One of the UNP body options (01 body UNP xx).  Don't forget to activate "ElinRace - Use UNP BBP Body.esp" in your load order.
  3. <optional> One of the base UNP textures (02 texture UNP xx).

If you want to install the textures from the texture pack, step #3 is not needed.  If you install the files during step #3, they will be overwritten by the textures from the texture pack.

I honestly don't know how SoS works in the system. SoS does say that the Elin race's skeleton isn't indeed compatible for shlongs when ingame. I don't know why the armor doesn't show if I install SoS after Elin Race.

 

It's ok though as It works fine for now. I reinstalled all of the mods again, and installed Elin race as last. I don't dare to install any pelvis area mods. :P
