RandomUser88 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I think the elin race was in nexus before (it shows the Nexus window when I open an elin race zip file with NMM) but I suppose it was taken down due to copyright things.

The Elins have always been a community project and I would like to keep it that way. Nexus will only allow Tera mods if proof of permission from En Masse is provided. I read the email provided by asianboy345 which states that the En Masse Public Relations Dept does allow using Tera assets (i.e. rips) for other games as long as no profits are made. However, Nexus is very strict about showing proof (reduntant as it may be; they already know En Masse allows it) because the Tera assets and mods for the Tera game are considered proprietary.  Â

While I do like them, they're perfect for elins, they also become the default animations for the other females from other races. Â My suggestion is that they could be included in the elin race idle or just a separate folder so only elins use it. maybe something like meshes/actors/characters/elin/animations

Camila Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 It's much better now. I have all dlcs and SkyRe, so i chose the options that use those and it will install just a single esp. Just keep that in the lowest of your load order, and make sure you check the box at FNIS to activate this mod.
sheloveme Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013  hello gentlemen and ladys,  i got a little question..related to the skeleton from tera elin..if i want to replace it with a other tbbp skeleton.. can i take a usual one or musst it be x117? and do i have to replace in all 3 elin folders the skeleton? or use the tera elin the skeleton from a other folder....and do i have to rename the skelton from skeleton_female.nif to skeletonfemale.nif?  i mean there are so many folders..its confusing ....sorry that i ask such a question..but i really dont get it  Best regards Sheloveme  The skeletons you want to replace are located in "2chelin fix" folder and you have to rename them to "skeletonfemale.nif". Should you replace them with some other skeleton not from my Elin packs you need to remember that if used with the Elin new bodies, she will look "odd" so you will need to replace the body meshes found in "2chelin BBP Body fix" folder.   can i create the new meshes with bodyslider ++ ...i mean after i create with the slider meshes..there will be created in the normal female assest folder...then i have to copy from there the meshes and replace them with the BBP Body fix ? right?  Â
mjmj1996 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 lol after months of struggling I realize I can not figure out all those problem........ Such as 1st person camera height isn't right even after fix (probably it's due to ECE that now the game 1st person height is corresponding to the real height of the character, makes the 1st camera height still not right after I install the fix), weapon scaling for any other raise isn't right as I'm using medium character (0.8X), arrow for any races other then Elin is placed on back not waist, etc. But anyway, I'm going to ignore all those troubles and start a new save to enjoy the game -- well, feel so strange with the old one as I already had so many memory about it.  Again, thanks for all you've done. This mod is a bit complicate and not perfect, but it is AWESOME.  btw, the link on the homepage for the "Customizable Camera" seems not working.....it link to http://skyrim.nexusmods.m/mods/37347//?, which missing servral character in middle.... should link to http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37347//?
PsychoMachina Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 @Sheloveme Yes, just move the new meshes to the Elin's BBP Body Fix folder and overwrite the meshes in there. An another method is to hold down the "CTRL" key when creating the meshes in bodyslide. This will put the new body meshes in the same folder as the Bodyslide++.exe instead of the character assets folder. The choice is yours.  @Mjmj1996 The 1st-person skeleton for the Elins is located in the same place as the 1st-person skeleton for the vanilla races. I have not tried it yet, but moving the Elin's skeleton to a separate location could provide some help. I say "some help" because there is still a possibility of the game messing with the height. If you are using the Elin NPC and Enemy mod and notice some Elin NPCs are taller. That is because of the scaling flags added to various markers in various locations (workbenches, counters, forge, etc.) that changes the race's scale. This even happens with vanilla npcs, but the Elin npcs will have the tendancy to get stuck in the new scale.  When you installed ECE, did you install any of the provided skeletons? If so, remove them and see if that provides any help.  Are the weapon scaling too big or too small? When I edited the xpms skeletons, I tried to scale the weapons consistently without breaking anything. What I mean is, scaling the weapons will have limits. If too big then it will collide with other weapons (back weapons) and "disappear" in game or the weapon when being held will not align with the hands or the arrows will not position correctly on the bow and crosshairs. I wish I have a definitive solution, but I don't have weapon-scaling bugs and no one has found a solution that would work with everyone.  The quivers should be on the waist for the Elins. This has to do with the new skeletons; they were meant to use Chesko's Belt-Fastened Quiver animations. If you meant the npcs in the game have the quivers on their backs then you will need to install Chesko's skeletons. The Elin skeletons will not affect other races.  Thanks for correcting the link. It appears that when LL truncates long addresses, it also has the tendancy to remove parts of the address (using "m" instead of "com").   EDIT Fixed the link to Customizable Camera at Nexus.

Smokermegadrive Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 After read about the animations i tried the exclusive animation path and worked for meThe paths are:meshes\actors\character\animations: for the exclusive animations (normal animation path)andmeshes\actors\character\animations\PCEA: for the npc and vanilla raceSo for the elins you simply install the animations in the normal way, the problem is, if you have any npc from other custom race it will use the same animations because the mod only affect the path for vanilla raceAlso thanks a lot for pointing the animation in the body replacer, it's look a little closer to the original elin animation from tera

ut4m4ru Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I have a question about this mod. I was trying to make a new follower in the creation kit. I got everything set up but when I went to it in game it had the grey face bug. So I went back in the ck to do a face gen with the CTRL+F4 command. But it gave me an error  FACEGEN:Could not find (and apply) Race Morph 'ElinRace' in TRI file 'actors\2chElin fix\BrowRaces.tri'  I have tried everything I can think of and even tried using blender with a .tri file importer to set the race name but I could not figure it out. I have never used blender before. I don't do a lot of modding so I do not know a lot yet. Any chance you could point me in the right direction?
PsychoMachina Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Hello Ut4m4ru  Try replacing the tintmasks with these low-res versions.  CK will have problems with hi-res tintmasks and the results will show your game.  These are not the warpaints.  LowRes Face Tintmasks.7z  I have not had error messages appearing when generating tints (CTRL+F4).  Sometimes when using the render window, CK will give error messages for something like the brow .tri file or eyelash .tri file.  It won't affect  the results, just some bugs with the CK.  Did you chose your follower from ACTORS > Actors > actors > Elin Race > Female because if you use ALL and pick your follower from there, you can't generate the tintmasks.  Either it's a CK bug or Bethesda intentionally did that for some reason.  So when you chose your follower from the correct list, go ahead and use CTRL+F4 and see if the error messages disappear or better yet, if the tintmasks were created.   Â

I am still learning the creation kit. I have done some mods before for oblivion like changing item prices and weights but this is the first time i have tried to make anything. Also I was reading a post you made a page back about making adoptable Elin's That is what I have been trying to do. I am going to give it another try but more then likely I will just download your version when you have it posted.

When I try to set the Hair for the npc i making I can see and chose an apachii hair just fine but when i save the file then reopen it it is back to a default. what should I do to make it stay. I also can not get the hair patch to stay listed in the required files. I think that is the cause of it but the patch file is an esp and i think thats why i cant set it as a master file for my mod. So what should I do.

(2) Â Now using Wrye Bash (have not tried TES5edit), right-click on the Elin-Apachii hairs pluging and select "copy to ESM". (3) Â Remove the plugin and use the new master file along with the Elin-Apachii patch containing the Apachii meshes and textures. Â Â
PsychoMachina Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 It will be awhile before I'm able to finish the Hearthfires additions (RL responsibilities) so here is the Hearthfire Elin Children files (Lucia and Sophie only).   INSTALLATION Make sure you are someplace far away from where Lucia and Sophie are located. Create a new save. Install ElinRace Hearthfires Children and make sure the ElinRaceTaint.esm patch overwrites the file of the same name you would already have in your DATA folder. Fast-travel back to where Lucia and Sophia is located. Done. DOWNLOAD ElinRace Hearthfires Children -Lucia+Sophie.7z  NOTE Lucia is located at Whiterun. Sofie is located at Windhelm. Both will be sharing the same body as your character.  I'll see about making them use their own body. Do not give them the vanilla game's children clothes.  They can not wear them. Â
PsychoMachina Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) Heartfires Children - All Girls Option  Changed the adoptable boys, Alesan and Blaise, into Elins.  Alesan is now Alessandra and Blaise is now Bella.  They use the FemaleChild voice and act like girls, but certain unique dialogues for each character will not play.  Bugs (1)  When you first speak to them and ask about their parents, they will not speak even though the dialogue options are there.  There will be a long pause during which they would be speaking about their parents and how they became orphans.  Afterwards, the dialogue options change and once you select the "I can adopt you..." option, they will start speaking and you can adopt them as usual.  Solution (untested) (1)  Start a new game with the ElinRace Hearthfires Children.esp active and play as usual. If anyone is, or willing to, start a new game, let me know if do so will fix the broken dialogue.  DOWNLOAD ElinRace Hearthfires Children-All Girls.7z  This contains Elin replacers for all 4 orphans added by the Hearthfires DLC. They use the same body/textures as your character.  I'll work on giving them their own bodies. Compatible with my unofficial release of "ElinRace Hearthfires Children - Lucia and Sophie". Contains the ElinRaceTaint.esm patch so that means when installing, make sure this patch overwrites the ElinRaceTaint.esm you already have installed. Alessandra is located at Dawnstar.  She runs errands for the miners. Bella is located at Katla's Farm near the entrance to Solitude. Â Do you have anything that will put a burden on your vram (hi-res textures, improved meshes, additional npcs and/or plants, etc.) because you could be experiencing the type of CTD that occurs whenever the game changes cells (includes fast-traveling). Â Also, are you using Safety Load? Â This is suppose to help with problems like this.
fundementals Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Mmmm.. I'm not using Safety Load.. ._. What's that?.. And lets see.. I'm using an ENB... It's supposed to be a low performance one. Uhh.. for meshes.. maybe.. (Better Hand Mod for UNP UNPB UNPC) and (Calienetes Female Body Mod) and (coverwomen) Hmm.. maybe those are causing it.
