PsychoMachina Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Omg that bard is too cute, Would i have your permission to use this for a future mod? Going to ask Lindsey Sterling if i can use one of her songs in skyrim and i will animate to near as perfect as i can get it. But having yours as a base would reallllllllly help. You will need to contact RSV over at Casualmods.net because the Elin Bard is his work. I'm only hosting her here by his request.
DFC Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Okay, I'll upload a different file. Give me a moment. EDIT Try this one. I can't test with my game for obvious reasons. enblocal-AMD1gb.7z Thank you, i'll try this. *UPDATE* So first thing that happened I got a CTD when I loaded my save, 2nd time didn't crash and I could play for a long time, I did the dragonstone quest, but then 10 seconds in of the first dragon fight I get a CTD.
PsychoMachina Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 I'm guessing you did not crash during showracemnu, especially when selecting hairs. You will need to try different memory allocation settings. Open enblocal.ini with Notepad and look for the [MEMORY] section and edit the following: (Current setting) "ReservedMemorySizeMb=1000" (New setting) "ReservedMemorySizeMb=1024" Save your file and test in game. If still crashing, edit the same setting again this time increasing the Memory Size: "ReservedMemorySizeMb=2048" Save your file and test in game. Also start the Skyrim launcher (TESV.exe located in the Skyrim folder) and click on OPTIONS and lower your ANTIALIASING and ANISOTROPIC FILTERING settings (try 4x first then lower to 2x). Also click on ADVANCE and in the DETAIL tab, lower your settings starting with HIGH then try out MEDIUM. Exit from the launcher and start the game as you normally do.

I'll try those settings soon, i'm thinking maybe it's a sound issue and maybe not the mod at all so I changed the sound format to 24bit, 44100 Hz from 16bit, 44100 Hz. I'm gonna try playing like this and see if I encounter another crash. Also I'm actually playing at the lowest graphics settings right now.
PsychoMachina Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Okay, so I downloaded ENBoost v5 and made some edits to the new enblocal.ini. Here is the one for AMD cards with 1GB vram. enblocal_v5-AMD_1gb.7z I started with "ReservedMemorySizeMb=2048".

I'm gonna try your new enblocal file tomorrow.
PsychoMachina Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 If the crashing is still happening, I suggest taking a different approach. Uninstall SKSE and all mods that rely on it. SKSE SkyUI Enhanced Character Edit Enhanced 3rdPerson Camera Do not install the HDT Physics Extension Start a new game because SKSE uses it's own scripts and if that is the cause of the crashing, it would be best to start a new game and create new saves. The Elins do not really need these mods, but you might run into problems with the 3rd-person camera being too high. That is something to deal with another time.
mjmj1996 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Try manually installing the masterfile for the scaling you want and if her height changes to the correct scale, the problem could be the installer. If nothing changed, I'll need to find a better way to scale the pc and keep the 1st-person camera in-sync. Well, first thx for the MOD! Love it. Yep now i am struggled about the first person camera height. The 1st camera fix in the download page works but not so well as now the game scaling automatically reflected to the current height. This occurs once I updated my mods (no idea how much I've been updated, but many that include USKP, Old verson of elin mod (which is about a year ago i think), and so on) and uses angeli V1.1. Well, basically now the arrow aiming is a bit hard in 1st view, and stare at other's breast isn't really feeling good thought..... And have to look up to focus on others face in 1st camera is a bit.... well, strange. Tried to uninstall ECE, but its not work. Seems it because some sort of things build in with the Elin mod.... I do fount the CharacterMakingExtender in Elin mod (Well, basically it is a nice function!), but i have no idea how to disable the function that let 1st person camera change! Well, is there a way to fix it though........ Or I have to edit the 1st Skeleton? If that's the only way I will take it...... Basicly I won't use any race other the Elin lol : )
PsychoMachina Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 Hello mjmj1996 The 1st-person camera is created by the 1st-person skeleton. There are two ways to alter the camera height: (1) change the scaling of the 1st-person skeleton or (2) make the camera match the race scale (ElinRace.esm) by changing the race scale. The problems with races smaller (or larger) than vanilla scale is the 1st-person camera will start shifting either lower or higher. If you are using the Angeli mod, it comes with the previous Elin version (1.3c). Version 1.4 is not needed for Angeli. The older Elin skeletons had problems with weapons not aligning with the hands and arrows not aligning with the cross-hairs. I have since completely replaced the skeletons with custom xpms skeletons plus there have been a few other changes with the race. Do not mix the older Elin files with the latest Elins or the Angeli Elin. EDIT I read you post again. Are you saying you want the 1st-person camera at adult height? If that is what you want then just go to MESHES > ACTORS > CHARACTER and delete the "_1STPerson" folder.

Edit Well, actually that's what I wish to say.... Compare to other adult race even I deleted the 1stperson skeleton file, still I am stare at other UPC's breast not faces.... I will post several picture.
mjmj1996 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Just like what I said... Here's a picture of 1st camera Elin Race And here's another for an adult race These 2 picture are at exactly same distance, with a significant difference... I do deleted the 1st skeleton but it seems still get this sort of trouble.... Staring at someone's breast not faces...... How may i fix it though.. BTW, if using original 1st skeleton from angeli, it's even lower....... looks like stare at someone's underwear, sort of.... These problem doesn't seems occur before I update all my mods....... Currently using UNPB TBBP + Angeli x0.8 defult, no DSR. Used to use UNP + elin......
PsychoMachina Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 Even though you deleted the 1st-person skeleton from the Elin mod, she is now using the 1st-person skeleton from Skyrim.bsa. The 1st-person camera is still being affected by the race scale. To fix the low camera for the Angeli Elin, you will need to 1st-person camera fix I included with the Angeli files or use the one for the Elins. This will raise the low 1st-person camera.

mjmj1996 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Ok, i think it's because original is like that anyway........ Thought really, As i run my skyrim backup to the old verson and finds out that..... They do raise the height to sort of "face to face", which the new fix don't;

Okay the game crashed after about 30 minutes using your new enblocal.ini file. So what do I do, do I uninstall all mods and then just install SKSE, SkyUI, ECE, Enhanced 3rdPerson Camera and Elin Race without HDT and skip the other mods suchs as Dual Sheath Redux?
PsychoMachina Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 Uninstall SKSE and these mods: SkyUI ECE Enhanced 3rdPerson Camera Start a new game and create new saves. Do not reuse current saves. Keep enblocal.ini and run the game. If crashing then remove enblocal.ini and check your game. EDIT Remember to run FNIS generator for users, but Dual Sheath Redux is optional.
yasahiro Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Oh my gosh I think I've found a workaround for the face flickering thing. I was messing with the big Angeli Elin mod, and I noticed my characters face flickering again. I was like, "ohh... no... I liked the Angeli mod..." And I decided to go into showracemenu to add face paint, just to see what my character looks like again, without the flickering... and the flickering stopped happening to my face, and instead the war paint started flickering. I thought, "No waay...." So I exited out of the race menu, went into another area, and sure enough, the war paint was flickering still, but not my whole face. It's not a complete fix, sure, but hey, it's an awesome workaround.
PsychoMachina Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 @Yasahiro Here are the original non-optimized textures (face, tintmasks, and body). Not sure if they will help, but would not hurt to try. These are not installable with a mod manager, you need to extract and copy/paste the textures to your Data folder. 2013Nov05-Original CBBE Textures.7z

Okay so I reinstalled skyrim and played for about 3 hours without any mods just to make sure it wasn't something else causing the CTDs, I didn't get any crashes so i'll try that now.
xheren Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 HI PsychoMachina, So I've been trying to get the head texture to match the body textures using the Elin Enemy & NPC mod for awhile now. At some point i had exported all the face gen data (for the elin race with the monli esp loaded as well) which gave me a whole bunch of off color pink/red/black foreheads (lipstick/warpaint/etc) which i then proceeded to fix via matching their colors to the skin tone. By doing this eliminate the off color heads (and the neck seams which resulted from them) save a few missed bandits in the fields. After updating to the newest releases in November however I forgot to back up my modified esps and now I'm back at off colored heads. What I've tried doing to fix the issue: -Tried older/newer versions of the mod with the older/newer versions of ElinRaceTaint.esm. -Revised Load orders using BOSS, NMM, and the data options from vanilla skyrim loader. (using your suggestions from previous post) -Manual Installation of all Elin related mods -Checked for conflicts against other mods -Dumped skyrim data folder and started fresh install with only Elin mods (backuped all mods ofcourse) -Used optimized textures -Attempted optimizing textures (gave all elin npcs blue hair and did not fix the issue) -Placed head.dds files in folders that looked like they made sense (ended up with right color heads and light blue bodies) So far I've only had success while using the core non-nude body. Any texture mod i try using to enchance the base body seems to neglect the head. In particular the set up I'm trying to use is the TBBP CBBE body, with the CBBE fairskin complexion texture. Here are some pics of the problem from the starting scene when using TBBP CBBE body and CBBE fairskin complexion textures:: I'd rather not waste another day manually tweaking all the elin npcs again, Any chance you could help me out, Is there something obvious I'm missing?
Camila Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Is it me or the Elin race doesn't ragdoll at all? If so how can i disable it so I fall to the ground and get thrown away like everyone else? Tia
DFC Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Okay so I've played for 3 hours now with these mods installed SKSE,FNIS and Elin Race without HDT Physics, I skipped Dual Sheath Redux. Also what I did different this time, I installed TMPhoenix's RaceCompatibility instead since I didn't install ECE. No crashes so far, so I guess it's safe to say that my game isn't crashing, not 100% sure though so I'll keep playing until i'm sure.

The head textures never did perfectly match the body textures. The Elins originally did not have this many textures options. I'll see what can be done, but can't guarantee instant results. All these different texture options will take awhile, not to mention other people want me to help them with their problems and I have RL responsibilities that take precedence. Is it me or the Elin race doesn't ragdoll at all? If so how can i disable it so I fall to the ground and get thrown away like everyone else? Tia Since the upgrade to the xpms skeletons, it would seem the ragdoll effects are missing. I'm redoing the skeletons using the latest xpms files so I'll see about bringing back the ragdoll effects. Okay so I've played for 3 hours now with these mods installed SKSE,FNIS and Elin Race without HDT Physics, I skipped Dual Sheath Redux. Sounds good so far, but eventually you will experience a crash or two. It might be when loading a save or fast traveling. I recommend making new saves and avoid saving over old saves.
DFC Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Okay I found out why skyrim crashes. I tried just in case to do showracemenu and check all the hairs and see if it crashed, when selecting after awhile I crashed, restarted skyrim and did it again this time I could check every single hairstyle without skyrim crashing except for 1 hairstyle that had purple textures, then when I exited showracemenu I crashed. Then I did it again while monitoring my RAM usage on my 2nd monitor and notice that skyrim crashes when it reaches about 1.2gb of RAM usage. As long as I don't go into showracemenu I can continue playing without crashing since skyrim only uses about 700-800mb of RAM.But still it should be able to use more, and before my format I had a lot of texture mods and played skyrim on High I also had Intersting NPCs which adds a lot of actors.

Did you try this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33526/? ? IF you're using ECE, there should be an ECE addon that does the same thing, in the ECE mod page on nexus. As far as monitoring go, you could use the Skyrim Performance Monitor to check pretty much everything that goes on in the background. Just be sure to read the instructions of how to launch the game.
