keionn Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Yes, I noticed the existence of the Downloader, but never really "registered" it. I was too fixated on the other topic. I'll continue tomorrow with Dual Sheath Redux, Hair packs, Voice and then the idle animation. But just a question I had in mind. Are there gonna be other animations for walking, running, etc.? The normal animations look kinda weird while playing a cute, little elin. Nonetheless, I love this mod and I'm happy I continued trying, even after all my stupid mistakes which costed me a lot of nerves. And thanks again for everything.
PsychoMachina Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 There are additional walking/running animations with the New Elin Body pack. They are installed when you choose the BBP or TBBP body. Some say the running animation looks similar to the one from Tera.

Some say the running animation looks similar to the one from Tera. seems as though those animations aren't related to Tera at all, they're animations designed to accentuate the "bounce" of the TBBP and BBP bodies, they're very wide and jerky allowing for lots of bounce and plenty of eye candy. though I could see why they do look a little bit similar to the elin run animation in Tera
keionn Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I don't know about the walking animation, but I don't think the sprinting looks like that. But the normal run animation does resemble it. But jumping and a drawn weapon don't really fit. But there might be other animations, who might fit better. That's not bugging me the most, though. The hands, don't seem to fit at all. They look like those of grown up and seem to be to big.

uguu123 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 look at original elins in tera, their feets much worse
Persius31 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 look at original elins in tera, their feets much worse well, that said, Tera was meant to be a good looking MMO, and my MMO standards, good looking isn't saying much, I believe we here in the skyrim community hold our mods to a higher standard of quality. Whoever did the original modeling and such did an exceptional job sans the toes, although he did do one small thing that bothers me a bit: he didn't make the thighs on the elin models as large as they were in Tera, which is perfectly fine considering how they look in-game anyway, although I would like that extra bit of thigh ;_;
keionn Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I wouldn't say the feet look bad. Edit: About the Hairpacks: it says I need "v1.1a+v1.4 and v1.5" V1.4 is listened in the "old files" and there is only one v1.1 which are male hairs, without an "a" or "b" option. Edit2: I love the outfits, even if some (vanilla outfits?) aren't fitting completely well. e.g.: But there are quite a few outfits, I just love them :3 What I would like are some smaller ears with such a fluffy tail. I would be able to use some of those nice equipable ears but the tail would be missing. The 9-Tails isn't my taste though, they are too fixed (and too many xD) Animation and sound works fine, too. There are a few hairs, which seem really weird somehow floating above the hair, the first few, also from the Hair Pack v.2. Haven't yet installed "Hair pack v.1.1-1.7" I'll install "Tera Elin DLC Addition" and the Bard tomorrow, Elin Followor will also follow tomorrow. Another Question: Does Tera Elin DLC Additions replace all NPC's, just from the Addons (Dawnguard, etc.) or can you chose which to replace?

Ah, I'm not refering to the CBBE/UNP/BBP/TBBP body feet, I'm refering to the default elin body feet, the other body models are using default hands and feet models scaled to an extent, iirc.
PsychoMachina Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 If the Elin's body is clipping through clothes then reduce their breast size or weight (change to MIN weight). I had a look at Apachii's download page and noticed some of the files were removed. Go with Apachii v1.5 and when installing the Elin-Apachii hair pack, only install the v1.5 patches. The Elin npcs for Dawnguard and Dragonborn are not done yet. I'm going to release both at the same time and right now I'm playing the Dawnguard quest. The only replacers currently available are the mannequins, Hearthfires children, Serana, and replacers for the Lakeview Extended mod.
Bosch91 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Uh, hi it's me again. I have another problem with the mod. Some Elin NPC suddenly grow to the size of a default human character. And some of them turns out naked. I've taken a screenshot of both of the problems. This elin NPC grows to the size of a normal human and shows up naked. Here's me standing side by side for comparison And the most freaky of them all is this Are there any known fix to this? thanks in advance,
PsychoMachina Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 Game bug. The game uses "Race to Scale" flags on certain furnitures (counters, enchantment tables, forge, etc.). When an npc uses those furnitures, they adjust their scaling so that the animations associated with those furnitures look correct. One obvious example is during the Horn of Jorgan Windcaller quest when you speak with Delphina in her secret room. When she walks up to the table, you can see her slightly shrink as she leans onto the table. When a small race, like the Elins, uses those furnitures, they scale to adult size and when the animation is done, suppose to return to their original scale. Sometimes they get stuck in the adult scale. Using 'setrace elinrace' can return them their correct size, but they can get stuck again. Be careful using the 'setscale' command as it can have unwanted effects such as making them smaller than intended. I had problems with Aela before. I found out that Climates of Tamriel had caused issues with the game rendering models. Not only did I experience clutter, terrain, and even tails (Elins and Khajiits) stretching to infinity, but also Elin Aela having the vanilla body. During this playthrough, I don't have CoT installed and Elin Aela, so far, is unaffected. Possible Solutions: Check for mod conflicts, such as Climates of Tamriel. Anything that can cause rendering glitches.or Use the 'setrace elinrace' command to return her to being an Elin.
Bosch91 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I don't have CoT installed, but the setrace command did work! thanks very much!
PsychoMachina Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 Glad to help. (am I the only one that gets rendering problems with Cot?)
Bosch91 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Btw I came to notice that setrace elinrace doesn't work with naked NPCs (Brelyna Marion) pictured above. They still show up naked. Any suggestions?
Persius31 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 so, psycho, or anyone who wants to convert outfits to the elin body, I have a little thing that came out recently http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49015/? now at the moment, I'm still trying to figure out how to load the elin bodies into this, but I figured you might want to take a look at it, it basically allows you to load various CBBE/UNP bodies into the program and conform the outfits to the mesh that that body uses, along with individual volumetric increasing, decreasing, and smoothing tools for fine tuning. If I figure out how to load them in I'll report back.

If I figure out how to load them in I'll report back. ah, OK, so I got a reply from the author on how to go about making a slider that allows you to turn a CBBE body into the shape of the normal elin body. * Easiest way is to start by creating a new project, with the CBBE Advanced sliderset as a reference. * Load your bodytype _1 .nif (aka whatever .nif is your elin body, I would recommend a nude one as the underwear one will only texture the underwear) as the outfit. * Play with the reference sliders in outfit studio to get the cbbe body to match as closely as possible to your body type. You'll probably be able to get pretty close, but possibly not all the way there. Remember, you can type values into the slider readout greater than 100 and less than 0. * Use the slider->Coalesce sliders menu item. This will create a new slider that combines all the slider settings into one. * Set all the sliders but your new one to 0, and turn on editing your new slider. Use the brush tools to tweak the shape to get it to match as well as possible. * With the new slider at maximum, use file->make conversion reference. This gives you a conversion from your body type back to cbbe * Turn on edit for the slider and choose slider->negate. * export that slider to a .bsd file (slider->Export Slider) * reload the caliente body reference template. with file->load reference * edit one of the sliders or create a new one, and use slider->import bsd. To convert an outfit, load it's high weight shape , uncheck all the sliders except for that slider you imported and use conform all I tried doing this an ended up with...mixed results would be a kind way to put it, I guess I screwed up somewhere and my slider turned into something horrifying if I put it at either end of the scale. if anyone else would like to try their hand at it, best of luck to you.

They still show up naked. Any suggestions? Continue playing, but nothing related to the mage's college. Fast travel to a different location and do other quests or explore around. When done, fast travel back to the college and check Brelyna; she should have clothes now. I noticed this before (not happening lately) and I just continue playing. Eventually, the nude Elins appeared fully clothed. Don't exactly know why they sometimes appear nude. Btw, the bathers at the volcanic hot springs will appear naked. That is intentional. so, psycho, or anyone who wants to convert outfits to the elin body, I have a little thing that came out recently http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49015/? now at the moment, I'm still trying to figure out how to load the elin bodies into this, but I figured you might want to take a look at it, it basically allows you to load various CBBE/UNP bodies into the program and conform the outfits to the mesh that that body uses, along with individual volumetric increasing, decreasing, and smoothing tools for fine tuning. PsychoMachina Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 Finally got around to looking at Bodyslide 2 and noticed it's missing two Shape Data files I use to make the Elin bodies. These .bsd files never came with bodyslide or cb++ so no big deal, I'll add them to bodyslide 2. Just hope doing so won't break anything.
Persius31 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Well, tried my hand at converting the daedric armor, I'm satisfied with the results sans the floating daedric glow textures floating off of the armor, here it is if anyone wants it. gauntlets, helmet, and armor. Also, since I have absolutely no idea how to make a seperate .esp to add them in as new items, they're replacers for the female daedric armor. Experimental Elin Daedric Armor.zip
PsychoMachina Posted December 22, 2013 Author Posted December 22, 2013 I think I need to redo the slider set and presets. My Elin presets are mixed with the Venus body presets. When I add the Venus body slider set to Outfit studio, I only have the option to use the Venus body as reference instead of the Elin body.
dwarfsnail Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Instructions didn't work for me. This is what I had to do To get Elin Idle + Elin Bard working Using Wrye Bash... Install everything Run FNIS Backup ..meshes\actors\character\characters\defaultmale.hkx Backup ..meshes\actors\character\characters female\defaultfemale.hkx Uninstall Elin Bard Install Elin Bard Reinstall the two .hkx files backed up
PsychoMachina Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 Basically, you did what I instructed, except you installed then reinstalled the Elin Bard and replaced the defaultmale.hkx and defaultfemale.hkx from the Elin Bard with those from the Elin idle that was created by FNIS. Elin Bard includes those files; Elin idle does not and requires FNIS Generator. If you leave out the first installation of the Elin Bard then your process is the same as mine with the exception of replacing those two file (from the Elin Bard) with the two generated files from the Elin idle.
Mud Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Hrm... I cannot figure out how to get gloss textures for the Elin out of GlossTech. The post about it from a month ago doesn't seem to do any good. Can they even be glossified with TexBlend's base _s file being based on a human face?
PsychoMachina Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 I'll have to test this myself. I haven't used Glosstech in ages so this might take me awhile. If successful, I'll upload the files and instructions.
