The only way to remove any clippings is to remove the tails when equipping the cloaks, much like how hairs are removed when wearing hoods and certain helmets.  However, this would entail editing Cloaks of Skyrim so that the cloaks are added to the Elins Tail form list and use Slot 40.

Heeeey.. Uuuuh is there any ways to get.. To edit the eye's shape ? 

 

I don't know exactly what you mean.  Changing the shape in showracemenu?  Creating new or editing current eye morphs files?

 

 

 

Editing the Eyes so you can make them Smaller Or something, Not like, The already preset shape, But more indepth customization kind of Things, I thought the enhanced Char. Cust. Would've been able to do that ! Cause I remember seeing some of yours with normal looking eyes :o

The current Elins don't have extended face options.  I think what you saw were pictures of version 3 which uses the vanilla head meshes.

This will allow customizing using ECE or RaceMenu.  Once I'm done with the DLC additions for the current Elins, I'm resuming work on v3.

Do you mean without adding the Elin race to the game?  I don't think that is possible, it's like making a standalone, Nord follower without the Nord race being added to the game.  The only way to add a race without them showing up in race selection is to make the whole race non-playable.  I tried that, but the Elin npcs reverted back to their vanilla races.  In other words, the non-playable Elin race cease to exist in the game.  

 

The Elin followers can be used with only the Elin master file, you just need to remove the Race Compatibility dependency.  I have not verified, but as long as you don't play as an Elin, the followers should work.

so your saying i can use the rem follower as long as as i just add the elinrace.esm?

 

meaning i take the .esm and package it with the rem follower package?

considering rem has everything there already. just has dependency for the elin.esm or w/e

I'd gladly do it myself if I had any lick of an idea how to do it.

 

ah, and one more small question, is there any way to reinforce the Elin Savior's Hide?

seems like I can't seem to be able to reinforce it, doesn't bother me too much, but I'd like to be able to.

When you say Can be pregnant do you mean it will show being pregnant. if so please explain how you did that. I have been trying to do that myself for a while. Did you just change out the mesh and skeleton in the elin folder with ones that support it? I tried that a week ago but had some weird issues were the stomach was like jelly and jiggled around a lot even when not moving.

 

i had create new meshes in bodyslide then i had replace the skeleton with new  sos tbbp... and i had installed bwelly tbbp at bodyslide...bigbelly 50 /50 everyside...you musst put  the body meshes in every elin folder ..if you want i can uploud you a complete package for pregnant elin here but a adult elin version (like i have)....

 

psychomania  can i uplod/post here a package for pregnant adult elin?

I'll have to do some testing first.  I don't have Cloaks of Skyrim so I'll need to grab that and see what needs to be done.  Some of the tails are added with the hairs while others are added with the ears only.  I'll have to see if swapping the tails with the cloaks will have any affect on the hairs and ears.

Was it ever discovered why the Elins are immune to ragdoll physics while alive? It's impossible to knock them down, be it from a shout, the console, or a mod like SexLab. I've been pretending it's just a hidden racial perk, but it does get in the way sometimes.

But when i use shield on back the shield is hoovering about 2 cm from the body. Any way to fix this?

Was it ever discovered why the Elins are immune to ragdoll physics while alive? It's impossible to knock them down, be it from a shout, the console, or a mod like SexLab. I've been pretending it's just a hidden racial perk, but it does get in the way sometimes.

 

It has something to do with the skeletons.  The older Elins had ragdoll because they were using edited vanilla skeletons.  The current sets are early xpms.  I'll expect this will be fixed when I update to the latest xpms skeletons.

The shields float from the back to make room for staffs, bulky outfits, and accessories such as bandoliers and scarfs.  When I update the skeletons, the swords will be sheathed on the back so there will still be a small gap between the shield and back.

If you know how to use Nifscope then you only need to locate the SHIELD node and edit the "Y" value.  Increasing the value should bring the shield closer to the body.  The shield node has a parent node.  I use that to change the scaling when the shield is on the back.

Hmm, I'm not sure that's right... my current Elin skeleton is a version of xpms I edited by hand to have TBBP support and Elin proportions, back before you released TBBP enabled skeletons of your own. But normal humans using the unedited skeleton are still ragdollable while the Elin are as sure-footed as ever.

Well i guess you are aware of those big hands and scaling problems, but i just wanted to ask if you are up to fix these two problems someday, or maybe already know a workarround without breaking something minor?

The large hands are intentional.  When making the new bodies I was trying to emulate the Elins from Tera and used this pic as reference.

The scaling problems are due to bugs with the game.  The other day during a fight, my Elin suddenly became as tall as a human both 1st and 3rd-person.  Restarting the game fixed it.

The Sakura tattoo textures can be used as-is, but adding them to a different body texture is only possible if a PSD file containing the tattoos is available.

Firstly, you have the master files (ElinRace.esm and ElinRaceTaint.esm) with the plugins (files ending with ".esp").  You need to move those master files high on the load order after Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, and any DLC master files.  ElinRace.esm should be situated just before ElinRaceTaint.esm.  I will show you my load order in just a moment.

 

The crashing after the Beth logo means you are missing a dependency (master file from the same mod or another mod).  After looking at your load order, I do not see RaceCompatibility.esm (a master file needed for all custom races).  There are two versions:

  • Racial Compatibility by Himika.  I have included this with the Elin Main Pack and is an option that you need to choose during installation.
  • Race Compatibility by TMPhoenix.  This is another version that serves that same purpose, but many people prefer to use if they have Dawnguard (becoming Vampire Lord).  

So you need to install one of these and remember that the Race Compatibility master file should be situated between the Skyrim/DLC master files and ElinRace.esm.

 

Now here is my load order.  I have highlighted all files from the Main Pack, Body Replacer, optiona Elin mods, Race Compatibility by Himika, and USKP Patch for Race Compatibility by TKTK1.

What you don't see is "Elin New Body.esp" from the main pack.  This is the optional nude default body and should only be installed if you do not want to use the CBBE or UNP New Bodies.

 

Generally, this is how you should arrange your Elin files and make sure to place the plugin for the body replacers at the end of the plugin group.  If you chose to install the non-nude default body from the main pack then there will not be a plugin installed.

 

Hope this helps.  I will work on a better installation instruction for the original post.

Rewrote the Installation process.  This should remove any confusions as to what to install.

I must say you are one of the quickest respondents I have come across. Your work is excellent and they way you help people having issues is outstanding. I know quite a few modders that would just tell people with issues to read the readme file or read the mod page and not give any help. I also know a few modders that when I have asked for help on changing a mode they made they would not offer any. I am new to modding, but I am learning and I am having fun in the process just as much as playing the game. I want to give my thanks for your help so far and to say keep it up.  :)
