Was just about to post, the reporting rules on Nexus say "If you are not the content owner, representative or creator, please direct the appropriate parties to this FAQ."

LOL, so unless you're the creator you cannot report stolen and or malicous content? This is obviously a scam.

Unfortunately Nexus has automatically quarantined the file and I can't check use the preview button to check it's contents without downloading to see if the file name is still custom comments but it does say go to the Bannered Mare and look for Anaita (which suggests it might be a very outdated version of the mod that doesn't include some of the latest stuff).


The screenshots are even taken from here (just cropped, see the lydia comparison one). So they didn't even bother to boot the game up themselves to take their own...

It's sort of flattering to be honest? Like, they're using my mod as a fake? You think my stuff is good enough to front a scam with? How sweet!

Hard to say without ever seeing the actual files, but it wouldn't surprise me if that mod contained a dll, that was nothing than maleware. Apparently LLM's can churn out skse plugins now and some of course saw an opportunity to use those as a vehicle to get their maleware on unsuspecting users PC's. Might be the reason why it got quarantined by Vortex right away, even before anyone reported it, apparently.

You know, I very briefly considered the possibility that this was that light version of the mod that's only Morella as a companion with an easy join quest (and by briefly, I mean for about 3 or 4 seconds) but, by the time I'd read the full mod description it was pretty obvious that was not the case.

 

And Jib would have probably told us that version was coming for a good few weeks before it actually appeared.

 

And it probably would not have been posted by a new account that was created the same day the mod went up with no other associated content.

 

And it blatantly copied the screenshots from the mod page here but that "do not post anywhere else without permission" bit at the end of the mod description was just the icing on the cake.

It's not an easter egg so much as it suggests to the player that nothing too crazy went down in the mine, and keeps the mystery. Nothing using Airhead yet, just accumulating it.

 

I'd rather add NPCs because that's something I consider a core part of the mod. But the intent is to spread them out to avoid too much cluttering of spaces. I don't think its a user-friendliness issue to add NPCs and stories to the NPCs-and-stories game.

 

 

Hopefully you didn't change surrounding area to fit those stuff cause it would requires patch to makes it work with some mod out there. DD add new house at Dawnstar and it overlap with a tent; I still cannot find a patch for that.

You didn't give yourself enough credit for it.

 

There isn't many quest mod out there that have large content while having minimal compatibility issues with others mod.

I assume that you're right about that being the contents, but as for Nexus immediately quarantining it- they're actually pretty anal about file type. When I tried uploading a mod there the first time it got quarantined the same way because I compressed it to a .rar (like I do here) instead of a zip.

Yep, you know me- if I have something coming for this mod I don't shut up about it!

 

For future reference, my account on nexus is TheJibbus. There's just a few small SFW mods on there, but if I ever post anything big or related to BoS I'd shout about it on here.

Look at the changes I've made so far. A small door in an unused corner of Markarth, a house in a cell that no other mod touches. Thanks for the concern but I think I'm fine with how I handle compatibility issues.

I was thinking along the line of "The less location and NPC was add, the better it was for the mod". I am sure a lot of us out there already have PTSD with The Bannered Nightmare Mare, especially after installing thousands of mod.

 

No telling what future modder might add to the location that no other mod touches, one can never tell.

You can always use the console command 'disable' to disable NPCs from locations.

 

I have hundreds of mods and I like having the BoS NPCs in inns.

I tried updating this mod to the latest version, but my game crashes every time a cell is loaded with NPCs from this mod, even in a new game. The last version I was using was 1.8.4, and it works perfectly fine.

Someone else encountered this issue, or any idea what could cause this? I'm using the latest version of YPS so I thought about a compatibility issue, but I'm not sure.


Edit: Forget what I said, somehow I forgot I packed the textures into a BSA file and it didn't go well.

Until you accidentally disable a modded NPC with some quest that you completely forgotten about.

 

Maybe jibb can add a features that similar to BBLS mod, an option to disable/enable NPC anytime thru MCM.

You could simply use Where are you. If an NPC is disabled it offers you to enable it before teleporting that NPC to you or you to that NPC.
No offense but if you find you got to many NPC's in a place, the solution should not be to require mod authors to help manage them. The solution should be to control your mod hording urge. Simply use less mods that add NPC's to those locations.

First, check that the mod is actually enabled- do help CC_ in the console and check that you get some BoS results, or see if you can find any of the NPCs in the world. If it definitely is,you can reset SkyUI to try and make the MCM appear by doing setStage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1 in the console.

Yeah, to echo Talesien- if there's too many NPCs in your game world that's on you not me- within reason of course, but 1 (rarely 2) bespoke NPCs in a few locations is firmly in the "on you" bucket.

I ensure the mod is compatible as possible, but as far as I'm concerned "the world is too crowded when I have this mod and also seven others" is not a valid issue.

 

I won't be adding an option to disable NPCs to the MCM- it's too much effort for something that I don't like.

Do you like being a bimbo but wish the gameplay was a little more... active? Go check out @LetsTestThis's new Sanguine Perks addon! It adds a variety of Powers and abilities earned by following the Be A Good Girl bimbo quest.

 

It uses the modder functions and events from this mod to mesh cleanly into BoS's actual functionality, which I think is really awesome.

I reinstalled all the requirements and it works now but thanks for the help anyways

Okay this is a wild fucking coincidence because I started doing a bit of work on Morella's dialogue last night and was just considering the idea of adding some optional perks for fun based around gameplay choices - I came to the thread to check around and see if anyone had already suggested that sort of thing when I saw this lmfao. This is awesome!

If you're using YPS, then you need to change your hair through YPS.
