I can't even get into the building. I'm stuck standing outside and nothing is happening. It seems to me you can't even enter the building for some reason. But I think it's the right one haha. At least it's the building he stops at.

First thing first : EXCELLENT mod, JB you're an artist, please make more mods like this and Nuka Ride...

 

I'm stuck in The Scavver quest, i must stack the 3 minutemen bodies on the rail and report to Medium sized bomb, i do it, but yhen he repeat me the objectiv and tase me like its not completed, I tried different location on the rail, stack the bodies differently, but nothing, bug ? or did I miss something ?

Hmm, I put a marker on the rail so you can see where specifically to put the bodies. You have to stack them all close together under the marker, the game is picky about distances. 

 

Once that's done, talk to Medium Sized again. 

 

Of course, I understand that you have that quest active in your pipboy, or else you won't see the markers.  ?

 

If the game has gone crazy, just type this and it will be like completing that task.

Since i'm here, i'd like to submit a suggestion : i was thinking during my run that it was too bad to not see interactions between slaves and raiders/customers in WhoreHouse and Corvega. Its a shame to see them just waiting so peacefully when they could be raped/sold/beaten...?

I've got a shed load of caps, weapons, ammo etc., it's so damned hard to lose stuff like caps in FO4. Tried getting robbed in Hardship but the raider had it all still when I killed him a day later (same with Violate). That's the downside of roleplay, can't just let it go.

 

So as an experiment, I'll try CS mid game and see how it works out as that will at least relieve me of all the caps and the rest of the stuff.

 

Covega has respawned, so time to have a look at Vault 111 and see how well it plays out. I'm sure they'll be some problems this late in the game but I'm curious to see what happens. I haven't tracked down Nick Valentine yet so no problems with late game stuff.

I'm at the very end of the True Ending, but keep meeting with

death whenever I fight Dwayne in the bathroom. It says "survive Dwayne." How am I supposed to do that? I punched him, let him hit me, even turned on god mode, and I still died every time.

 

I'd also like to point out a couple of little things.

 

Whenever you return from

the farm, with the Harvester quest, you only have 2 hours to tell Gristle everything you saw there. In my first time playing, the timer ran out and the collar killed me. I reloaded and just skipped the dialogue, because there's not enough time.

 

As a side note, the collar disappeared after a quest. I didn't notice when, but it's gone. Whenever the timer goes off, I don't actually die, but all of the NPCs glitch out.

 

It's too late for me to go back and reload a save to when I still had the collar, but I wanted to let you know.

 

I'm not saying these things to complain, just want to let you know of a few issues I'm encountering. The first thing I mentioned is really bugging me though, because I really want to see how it ends, and it seems I'm stuck in some weird glitch state where I can't win.

about the missing collar i have no clue, as it never happened to me.

 

Limited time to talk to Gristle, if when you first get back you go talk to him right off there should be enough time, but every mod order is different .

 

as for that fight, it is HARD.  more in spoiler (how i do it)



make sure to check the area right after you enter and before you talk to anyone (so that you do this before entering the bathroom)

there is a Med-X (take less damage), Jet (slow time) and Psycho (do more damage) in the area.

hot-key the Jet

mostly it is a matter of blocking his blows and landing yours.

suggestion would be to use the Med-X and Psycho just before he comes into the bathroom (they last long enough this way)

use VATS (even if you usually do not) to hit him (at least once), so that you will land the hit and he will not be blocking, and when the VATS cycle end immediately trigger the jet and beat on him until the jet wears off.  this should take a decent chunk of his health off (and refill VATS meter), then use VATS to hit him as many times as you can.  

doing that should (hopefully) give you enough of an edge to win the fight.

I'm having an issue where in the quest "The Runaway Slave", where the game just freezes but the game audio can still be heard. more specifically, it happens at the Minutemen's base where you are told to clean up the base and on the third and final spot when it says "Keep it up" in the mission objectives, the game freezes as you interact with the last dirt spot. There is just a freeze frame of your character standing over the debris. The menu doesn't open or anything either. Alt+F4 was the only way to exit the game and even then it continued to run in the background and had to be force closed by task manager.

 

I've made sure no incompatible mods are installed and I've tried multiple attempts but its the same result. Anyone know a solution to this?

@kinghelseth  It seems to me that the problem is related to another mod that also messes with the RH collar. Remember it is a collar used by other mods.

Did you know there's another way to defeat Dwayne? When you get sent to the cell and the doc sends Dwayne, open the MCM and go to the amputator MCM.

 

Put on double amputation. 

 

The mod is prepared for that scenario, because it's a probability that you will get there without arms.

Strange, the script is the same in all previous cleanings. I'd like to think it was bad luck, but if it happens to you several times, it will be better to use the stages guide and skip that specific cleaning.

CS and the later game and small bug report and workaround.

 

I'm just at the end of the mod sadly and will go for the short (bad) end as the purpose was to lose everything. PC was level 19 but bear in mind I have a mod that reduces levelling by 50% so was a fair way through the game but still in Act 1. It was a full playthrough so no skipping forward to part 2 of CS this time

 

And... it all played out superbly well :classic_smile:. I was expecting a lot of issues this late in the game but the only one that came up was the initial walk to Corvega when Kelly (NPC) kept attacking, so I disabled her until we were out of range and re-enabled her. That was it, everything else played out perfectly, Murphy very kindly took care of all my excess caps problem.

 

In fact I think I prefer it mid game, yes you have to roleplay a bit (e.g. Gristle isn't aware I've been around a bit, and I'm hardly likely to let on etc..) but it all worked extremely well.

 

I did have to create a small patch for the ASA items as I have them using different slots to the vanilla ones in CS which took all of 5 minutes, but that's because I like to rationalise all clothing for Combat Strip Lite slots, so nothing to do with CS

 

Now the bugs. I had a problem with the Fighter where after I was hit once I was stuck in a crouched position, (the same issue can happen in the Pit and the fight with Dwayne) the workaround for this is simple, use first person camera and it works fine, the third person camera seems to get stuck in the cage wall which locks the pc in place, so might be worth adding to the OP if it's not there already

 

The other may be intentional so not a bug, in the Fighter the pc shocked at the beginning of each fight, I wouldn't have though that Jared would want to impede his own fighter.

 

Having nothing and having gone from Dominant to Extremely Submissive (-50) the rest of the game should be rather... erm interesting :classic_smile:

Combat Strip Lite turn off destruction and check through settings in Provocative Perks to make sure they don't interfere with anything (or remove them using the MCM Debug Settings.

Played through this and got the true ending before going over to Nuka Ride and was interesting/well writen mod, totally worth the effort of having to re-install fallout 4 (not bothered with fallout 4 for ages, when i last used it AAF wasn't a thing)

 

Only real bug i encountered was during the whore fight, winning via a power move (default Left Alt key) triggering a kill move (leg sweep and throw) seems to break it as the NPC whore i was fighting became non-hostile but didn't register as dead so after pummelling on them for a while and getting nowhere i had to use the console kill command on her which then triggered the end of the scene

 

Did have one other issue although not sure if this mod is responsible, while in diamond city it tried to do the vanilla synth scene about the brother trying to kill the other and getting killed by the guards although in my case it happened as gristle was leading us out of DC so he killed the brother and we then moved out of DC as i'd selected to take the drugs and do fast travel so that vanilla scene didnt play out properly and seems to have broke the DC market place

 

Its a vanilla bug as i recall but might have been caused by the fast travel as the DC guard wouldnt have been able to do his dialogue, maybe moving the pop-up that appears when you do the DC whore quest asking whether you want to travel or take the jet and fast travel to outside DC would prevent

I'm sorry, but this isn't helpful. I turned off amputation for a reason, I don't want it.

 

It can't be normal that I can't defeat him even with god mode activated. Is there a scripting problem? @valcon767 I will try to use the med-x and jet method for the added bonuses, but I should be able defeat him if I'm using cheats, surely.

 

I hit him first every time in my fight, he doesn't land any hits against me, and the game still immediately tells me I lost and sends me to the losing scenario. This happened to me too in the cage fight mission. I lost every fight against the other slaves, even if I landed the first hit, even if I blocked, even if I used tgm console command.

 

I'm either doing something wrong and I'm asking for help to get me to be better, or the scripting is wrong and I would like a solution, like a console command to advance the quest.

 

I would hate to get through what has been a very enjoyable and well done mod just to not be able to finish it literally at the very end.

I have made a note of it, thank you. The only problem I presume is the context. Imagine you are the leader of the Minutemen, how do you fit this into the story? Or that you are the head of the Institute.

Vanilla, from what i've read if you do a block (which staggers the NPC) and then a power move/attack (default Left Alt key) the game is very likely to play one, as my PC was quite low level/lacking in health was having to use block a lot to avoid getting killed during those fights

I am head of the Minutemen. From memory Ronnie Shaw mentions a Colonel Becker (who's dead) so I roleplay it that they are an imposter group (or breakaway group). I rarely bother with the Institute (I get myself kicked out) but I guess it could be a clandestine department acting beyond the knowledge of the Head. It happens in rl in corporations

 

One thing I am trying to track down is a screen message saying "You start to panic with fear" (or something like that) during combat now. I assume it's from SA and I tried resetting the fpa_value's back to what they were but it still happens. I don't think it's CS as it still happens even if CS is deactivated. I'll track it down in xEdit though it may be a while as I'm away on holiday for a week or so now.

It's definitely SA as it stops if I deactivate it. I just need to track down the variable now.

 

Found it, it's perk added by SA - Raiders Bitch, rather nasty one as you take an extra 20% damage from Raiders

i really like this mod would be nice if u can play fallout 4 as normal yet still be a raider slave for the whole game... i love this mod that much i get to the end and start a new game just to do it all again lmao

Edit: So the latest version of this mod won't function  for me at all, I got AAF properly installed plus all requirements. I also got this mods requirements and started on  a new save. The older mod version works for me, I don't know  what it is about the  new version that it won't load at all for me, the warning message when approaching  Murphy never shows and murphy  ignores me. On the old version it  all functions as  it should.

 

Having the exact same issue! Very frustrating. Manifests the exact same way as this person, no warning sign and murphy jumps straight to the "this is your new life now" voiceline. I've tried going in and out of the vault multiple times as suggested elsewhere in the thread, waiting 15min at the starting point, updated all dependencies...still not working. Old version works fine.

 

I hope there's some sort of consistent fix available - I played the previous version last year and really loved it. Would hate for it to just be broken now.

I'm also having issues with the very first part, though not exactly as above. 

 

I recently updated after playing through the first version of this mod back in January and wanted to see how the story ends. Have all the hard requirements and a few of the soft. AAF setup is updated to guide. I stated up a new game, approached Murphy and got the pop up to continue or not. I chose to do so. Then Gristle shows up and grabs my character and... that's it. No additional dialogue boxes pop up. I'm stuck in the animation. There are a few flashes where the image space changes that make me think it's trying to do something and failing.

 

Script lag? I am running SS2 and a decent chunk of settlement mods, though it's a sparse list compared to the last time I played though. Another mod impacting it? As far as LL mods go, I've only got Sex 'em Up, Violate, and Autonomy Enhanced in there and all of them are off.  I'm not sure I even added any new mods beyond community fixes.

Do you have 'Sex Attributes' installed? It's marked as a soft-dependancy but after sifting trough my logs there where a ton of errors linked to it. The mod also refused to start without it. Girdle just kept sitting down and the warning popup marking the quest start never showed. Installed it and the intro played.

 

Running the latest version of AAF (V171-0) does give me other issues I can't find. Everything works fine. Other story mods also work fine. All anims start correctly, furniture is used etc and the scene stops. But when it does the quest stages never advance. Had it on both the 'Thorns' and 'Truce' quest. So I manually have to advance to the next stage using 'setstage'. It appears CS no longer hooks properly and can't detect when the scene is done?

 

The only AAF errors that appear in the log seem quite unimportant?

So! I turned off AAF Violate and Just Business and the mod runs fine now! Hope this helps anyone else having similar issues. Might be worth adding AAF Violate to the incompatibility list since other players seem to have reported the same issues.

The same thing happens with my other mod, at least that's the usual report. I don't see the logic of it, but several users have told me about it.  Probably more than ten by now. 

 

The problem is the usual: for some reason, the scripts don't run with Violate installed. I can't replicate it, so I guess there are more factors under the rug.

I don't have aaf violate but the mod doesn't work at all,including the cheating option in mcm menu.But the old version of the mod runs well
