Anyway thanks to Kuro's tea, some tunes and https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Diana+Naborskaia it looks much better.

 

A bit of tidying up and it'll be good to go.

Houston we have lift off, I think I'm done boys'n'girls next step is to unwrap all the mesh, are you interested in the steps it takes to get  the project to fruition or do y'all just want to get your hands on the finished item?

I'm not quite sure I understand, what do you mean by the steps to fruition? If that means I can be of some help, testing it or whatever else available to my knowledge level, I would be glad to help.

And it looks really awesome, great job~

No I just mean are you interested to see the steps it takes from building the mesh to finishing the mod, kinda like a behind the scenes.

All of them isnt possible. I had this disscusion on the DD beta thread to try to create a repository for modders to put down in one place all their tips because its soo hard to try to find guides for anything. So everyone knows a bit about something  but no-one knows everything about everything. Like thoose back laces took me a few days to get to something I was happy with but now I know how to do it I could make it again in 30 minutes.

 

Anyway I'll share what I'm doing, I dont think I would be very good at making blender guides but I can certanly share how I create seams to unwrap the mesh and then how to create texture maps using layers.

I'm interested. mMost of my work has been rebuild of preexisting skyrim assets and reusing skyrim textures.  I never found a system for building my  own textures that was doable for me, particularly since most modern software that could make the texturing process easier doesn't normally cooperate with skyrim's old fashion textures.

Oh, yes, even though I'm not a mod maker, it's always interesting to take a sneak peek deeper into it.

is something I have been at a loss to 'solve' for some time ..

how to make the Clockwork Key rotate while worn  - haha is maybe a small detail but for  myself is a pretty massive deal :):)

 

ngl Audhol has helped me cross one of the biggest hurdles I was facing .. with the set am putting together :):)

 

from what I could gather - animating a worn mesh .. not physics but keyframe..  was not an option with what I have available

so using the alpha and haing the "ticking" animation appear .. is a very big deal .. in this regard ..:):)

I think what we produced together was something that has not been done before. If you have used the angeli devious expansion then you will have seen just what is possible with animated textures, I dont think there are many people that are using these techniques and for me personally it was a pleasure to work with someone that has a different skill set to mine as well as a different overview of what the game portrays. It's like a fusion of sugar and spice, 2 opposing forces finding common ground.

You know with wabajack and the nexus collections feature its super easy to change now. You just click like 1 button and all the modding is done for you.

Looks promising. Have been messing around with the skin textures swaps last week for the Spriggan mod. Ni stuff is quite annoying as the documentation is not really there :P

Yeah same goes with Bethesda after yet another exe update that nukes core framework mods. Would be real nice if they stopped doing that...

Also find it quite hard to get a nice body texture going. Most are way to pale and bleak compared to LE. Same goes for getting a pretty face, can't get it really dialed in for some reason. Even with the face mesh mods.

Hahaha quite annoying is the understatement of the year, the 2 of us spent all day chasing our tails over CTD's due to some minor discrepencies or a slightly eroneous alpha property.

Again agreed 100% DAR is now unusable thanks to 1.6.40 (as well as the community turning onto the poor guy or girl that made it for not giving the source code) you would think Todd would look at what modders have done for his wallet game and say you know what I'm just gonner give them what they want and not screw around with updates, but no when theres a chance to flog some more CC shit to xbox\ps5 users lets just keep pumping out steam updates till everyone has got bored of modding and skyrim dies then we can pump out TES6\starfield promo packs at €150 each on the steam deck.

Modding is not the issue, I've done this since at least Morrowind and have been in dark places.

 

Although I really don't trust that One Click Installation Bullsh*t. I'd rather know my load order in and out, so I know where to look if something breaks.

yeah I know what you mean, but its not like I actually play skyrim anymore, I think wartimes was the last time I spent more than 20 minutes ingame what with all the frozen\unfrozen seasons and paralaxed lanscapes and lux via and enb lights and collision grasses and immersive transversal elden ring dodges locked 3rd person zelda camera environmental real time effected spidified together multiplayer JK dynamic ostim VASynth tomfoolery its kinda immposible to maintain your own modlist

Yeah that's quite a saga on it's own. But on the other hand disbanding a project without sharing the code and knowing it "hurts" a lot of mods is also kind of a dick move tbh. There seems to be some working going on to reverse engineered the code so we might see an updated DLL.

I don't really care about the AE DLC thing if people want it but this update gives the modders a big middle finger. That's just wrong and kinda ironic as the entire CC thing is made by modders.
