Yuni Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 This update sounds awesome, but it won't... install. I hit the install button and leave the menu, wait like five minutes, still not installed. I'll try it again after leaving the dungeon in Live Another Life. Edit: If that still doesn't work I will throw my papyrus log onto this post. Edit 2: I can't get the mod to activate/install. Have a papyrus. Papyrus.0.log Have I mentioned that downloading the file to my laptop crashes my internet, and I had to download it with my desktop then transfer it?

WCSC Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Through NMM I uninstalled ran FNIS, then installed the 5.3 ran FNIS. It shows up in MCM the options are there tweekd a few but it won't work, like surrender. When I tried to click on clean up, or enable/disable nothign happens. Maybe best to start a new game?
Goubo Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 Well if really it dosen't update properly you can try a clean save, disable the mod save and enable it. I tried the 5.3.0 file it works for me, I don't think I forgot to add anything this time hopefully.

Murkian Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I've been having the same problem of Defeat not working properly. When the MCM menu shows up and I try to install, nothing happens. Sometimes the MCM menu does not show up at all. I have tried cleaning the save multiple times, to no avail. It happens on a fresh new save, so it's not a buggered save file. I was hoping the new version would fix this but the problem still persists. According to other reports it's a mod conflict. Sexual fame is the only specific mod I found, but I do not use it and the problem is still there. It's strange, as I'm running more or less the same mod loadout that I had when it worked. I have tried disabling the few mods I've added since then but nothing helped. Edit: Added the papyrus log. It's a hot mess, that one. Papyrus.0.log
Goubo Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 I really don't think this has anything to do with a conflict, not one that would prevent Defeat from installing anyway, I would say something is missing but i'm not sure why. In my game, characters still have underwears. WCSC Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I tried to redownload. Now in the MCM all menu options are blank. When I close down and reopen the MCM defeat disappears from the MCM. I'll try and reinstall 5.2.2 and see what happens
WCSC Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 So I reinstalled the 5.2.2 and when I opened the game back it went like normal "initialing Defeat" <----(Which I did not get in 5.3) then in the MCM enable clicked and it installed and runs like before weird

Fredfish Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Tried the latest version on an existing game with 5.2.2... all saves crashed on loading Did a clean save and enabled 5.3. Saves now load but on trying to start Defeat I get the problem others have. Mod fails to start up. Papyrus.0.zip

I downloaded it earlier today, and i would not have known to redownload if i had not checked forum thread...
