Vault19 is not addressed in this beta.. it's the same as the last one, except for removal of SSR as a requirement. Vault19 fixes (and others) coming soon, but had to get this out of the way first.

I believe it's just prostitution level.

I am sorry to bring this up again, but I can't see it under my perks.

Do I get that perk at a certain time or do I immediately get it when WorkingGirl is loaded for the first time?

Posted

I could also be mistaken. I thought I set it up to give a perk without benefits before the final one.

The NCR quests are all kinds of buggy for me.  Fast travel will crash the game, npcs ignore the uniform, and nothing seems to work outside of McCarran.  Currently using the October 1 beta.

Oh, and I can never place the Forlorn Hope radio bug in Whore of Babylon.  There's never any option to interact with the radio, no matter what I do.

Visit the sexout tech support forum, read the "How to get help with problems" sticky, and follow the instructions therein.

Thanks, guys.  I found an overlooked tip that has me half fixed.  Maybe I'll find something for the stupid radio, too.

I do appreciate all the work, patience, and enthusiasm you've put into this project.  Thank you.

For the radio, you can actually activate it (although it will look like nothing happened) and then talk to the Legion guy after. His dialog will advance the quest.

Hi, again--

This is the first time that I've played straight Tryout Powdergangers without any other mod affecting it in ages.

My 'toon's been in the yard for over a week, already.  While she undoubtedly had an handful of encounters before hitting the prison, she got the first level of perk ages ago (that may be the only one that comes from the base mod-- Idk) and the experience counter shows a combined total of 1,280 acts without Scrambler coming down, yet.

Is this normal?

If not, is there a fix?  If I have to start over, again, I'm going to have to lay off this game for a while, again.

Idk how many Powdergangers summons Scrambler; but, I recall him coming down well before now in other games.

Posted

That bug is about as old as the mod itself.  Go into the admin building, should force Scrambler off his lazy ass.

Posted

I've  gone in there a few times-- had Hannigan diddle my 'toon-- and I'm still in the yard. LOL!

I went in back to steal from the pop machine... came back another time to steal from the refrigerator (don't ask me why I didn't clean them both out the first time).   Another time, Hannigan took so long to get up off the floor, I ripped off the whole infirmary before he got back into his chair.  I also stole everything out of the room across from Eddie's, upstairs.  Whenever things in the yard get tedious or frustrating, I wander back in to see if Eddie's still there (since, because Cell Blocks A & B have emptied out of their own accord by now, I sometimes start to worry...). :D

Posted

Hmmm... I've never, ever, not had Powdergangers occasionally disappear.  Prideslayer even gave me a solution to minimize the problem (so long as the Powdergangers in the YARD don't disappear, I figured I could get through the mod)-- so, it's hard to imagine that I'm unique in having this.

When I started playing this mod, this was practically the only mod I was using (I think I had pregnancy installed, too, for realism); and, if I stayed in the prison long enough, Powdergangers started sticking into the ground and disappearing.

I eventually figured out that, if the Powdergangers started sticking into the ground, I could just quit the game, immediately, re-start, and things would be fine, again (instead of them disappearing the next time I reloaded that area)-- at least until the next time it happened.  But, there's nothing I can do if I play for a couple of hours, go to bed, resume playing sometime the next day, and eventually discover that, when I left Cell Block A the previous night, the Powdergangers inside disappeared as soon as I entered the yard.  MAYBE I could have solved that by quitting before going into the yard; maybe it's another bug-- Idk.  Either way, it occurs unpredictably and rarely (I've been there a LOOOONG time, and all I've lost-- to my knowledge-- are the inhabitants of Cell Blocks A and B  )-- it would be an in incredible pain in the ass to try to play around with load orders to discover when it never occurred.  Moreover, since I have no faith that such an outcome is possible, my heart just wouldn't be in such an expentiture of time-- it's much easier to just get through the mod, leaving a few mysterious disappearances behind.

But, getting back to the original question:

Could someone please give me a console command to summon Scrambler and get me over this hump?

*For the record, the inhabitants of the cell blocks only vanish one at a time, as opposed to the inhabitants of the yard, who disappear en masse when I sleep outdoors).

Go up to Scrambler, go into the console and click on him.  Then type "startconversation PowderScramblerFetch" without the quotes, that should take care of it.

The strangest thing happened when I sided with Good springs against PG. At the end with the Ches la Fem perk a dialog popped up that stated Job Cobb was having me take Sunny to Prison. Yet when I played the opposite version I couldn't get that dialog where it made sense. I am using the beta of Tryout, SCR and Preg (if that makes a difference)

I'm not clear on what you're saying.  A dialog popped up displaying a mission or you had dialogue with a character who is not Joe Cobb?

Posted

Oh sorry.

I played siding with GS and at the end after Joe Cobb was killed I got the dialog when I went to talk to Sunny, that really should be when you sided with PG instead. It was under the Ches la Fem perk. I don't know if that is a bug or if something is wrong with my order. I didn't see it when I sided with PG recently. (can't remember if I had the Ches La Fem perk though will have to try that again)

That dialog was Joe Cobb was having me take her to Prison (not the exact dialog I don't remember it exactly) It wasn't a mission pop up like the DLC's in the begining of the game or when I complete a mission it was the actual conversation with Sunny.  I was really looking forward to trying that.

Here are some captures from the issue

You have the load order from a previous post in spoiler if needed. These were taken at the same time. One shows the GS people enjoying a few drinks after getting rid of the PG

Oh and the dialogue that is given after that announcement is the same that is normally given with SunnyCompanion. Not the negative or reflective of what I would expect would be said by spunky Sunny after being told that she is going to Prison for a gift to Eddie..

Your problem is a bug in the SunnyCompanion.esp included with Tryouts. Using it won't hurt anything for now; thr dialog option just recruits her normally so you have the option to if the PGs win. So my advice is to recruit her with it for now if you have to; it doesn't launch a quest or obligate you to go to NCRCF.

Posted

I can use the PG win option because that one don't come up so  I can't take Sunny to Eddie in the alternate solution where PG wins. I get the quest and everything but the dialoge there. Maybe I did something wrong somewhere.

Ok finally found the fix for the game crashing after scrambler telling you to give a BJ, seems its the Fallout version that's the issue, delete your game, change steams download settings to an Us server (i used new york) and reinstall, you can swap back to your normal country after that, the us version it download works like a charm, and im assuming will help resolve other issue with other mods

Thats interesting, I had a difficult to find bug with non-English NV versions in Another Kick in the Head.

Some vanilla vendor container references do not exist I think, or at least the script wouldn't (compile?) run with them in

I wonder if there is any documentation for version differences.. (hahahaha)
