I use the HOLA Better Internet plugin which works with Chrome (and other browsers), is a browser-based proxy system normally used to view videos in otherwise inaccessible sites such as Hulu and Nico. When I used the same plugin to access Nex under US proxy mode, downloads became faster than what I experienced before using the plugin. Why? It seems that the CDN server is somewhat first-preferential, like if you're in the US, you get more because the CDN file servers are also in the US, and if you're outside the country of course you could have worse quality downloading. Arcueid Brunestud Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 This is not a server issues, but as I go mod hunting for Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, I cannot help but noticed some of the mods at Nexus are hidden. Not by the moderators, but by the authors themselves of which some goes beyond a year. Whilst I do not question the reasons for the hiding, one cannot stop to wonder, why are they shadowed so long from the rest of the world without any kind of news and I don't want to poke any nerves asking them a question but the temptation raises by day. Thank the Creator that I am able to walk away.

I was hunting nexus forums for anything that gave a hint to why they were down yesterday for hoursnhours, but of course, no transparency. I stumbled across this while giggling over the 2 pages of nexussucks name bans. I thought it was going to be something name related, but no... It made me really sad to see. When will it end? If s/he was banned over a year ago, doesn't that technically mean that s/he didn't have two accounts? Wouldn't some discretionary judgement be involved in that situation? Where's the brain and compassion...
