The answer may not be what you want to hear, but mod authors create the mods they want to play. If the mods you want to play don't exist yet, make them. It's not a mysterious and arcane art, it just takes a dash of creativity along with a truckload of patience and willingness to learn the tools.

The helmet not only uses the Neck slot but also uses both Beard and Mouth slots, which are the slots for the facial and tongue piercings that Music puts on you, which can't be removed.

Just removed those 2 slots in xEdit and I can now wear the helmet. Cito's even talking to me. ?

How do I get another quests? 

 

I visited Corsican, I went to the cinema with him, the quest was done. I couldn't get any more new quests from him.

I visited Overboss and served at a party. After having sex with VIP, a club appeared here, but it is empty.

That quest needs Stockon and Elder Maxson alive. Do you know if those are alive? If they are alive, reload a save and do the movie theater mission again. When he tells you "the Overboss's daughter was looking for you, blah blah" is when he starts the new quest.

 

You can quickly check it by typing

 

SQV _NukaRide_Heaven

 

You will see a list of actors from the quest. If one says NONE, instead of numbers, it basically means the mod didn't find it (it's dead or disabled).

The only ones at risk of being dead are Stockton and Maxson. Gage is also on this mission BTW.

 

If you want you can try to revive them. The ideal moment would be inside the theater, before Corsican tells you about the Overboss's daughter looking for you. Enter the IDs and console commands to revive them (I think the command is "resurrect"?).

 

But yeah, the reason you can't start is because one of those characters is dead.

 

Remember that this is an alternative start mod. It is designed with a new game in mind and all its npc alive.

I'm having an issue with the Heaven mission. When I get kidnapped by the institute scientists, they torture me, he explains for my "peace of mind" that I will be replaced, and when i ask what will happen to me, he tells me he wishes I had some spark, that it's time to rest, then I just die.

Maybe I should put up a message box before you die. Basically, the test is not about answering correctly, it's about insulting correctly.?

 

Luckily the mod makes a save just before Boris's test.

I do have a small request for the future, if you don't mind, regarding our new female 'friend'.

The chance for her to follow you around, move in with you and maybe even a dialogue option to trigger an AAF scene?

Of course, if at all possible and/or you think it'd "fit".

 

When it's all said and done in the near/far future, i'll be sure to sit down with gallons of coffee and "re-adjust" the dialogue, if you don't mind.

Feel like it'd be "easier" to just streamline it all at once than do it bit by bit.

 

Either way, loving the new content so far. Keep up the absolutely amazing work ?

 

EDIT: Omg, I suddenly feel so "needy" but, considering I made a Classical Radio replacer.. any chance of adding to the apartment a radio tuned to it? ?

Okay, i'll shut up now and continue going through the new content ?

What hair do you have installed\on while you are trying to put the helmet on.  I have had the same problem as you on most of my walk-thrus....about 10 of them so far.  The last one she put the helmet on just fine and I didn't change a thing.

 

edit....seems you found the problem and it will be fixed....Thanks Saya....I think the last time through I had not got the piercing yet so there you go.....good job.

A work around is instead of talking to jungle man with the helmet on just go to the tree house behind the bar and put the clothes on....then talk to him.  All you miss is some dialog.  You can skip most of this quest by doing that the very first thing, but you will miss some fun stuff.

It's not the hair that's the issue but other slots on the head like beard and mouth. Namely, the piercings that Music puts on you, since they can't be unequipped without going to talk to her.

Ah, so that's it. I'm playing a submissive who tried to be a good girl. Didn't end well for her. I think a fork where only one personality type gets to live could be a problem for a lot of players. Your mod your call, of course, but for me having to break character to survive takes a little away from what has otherwise been an exceptionally well-thought out story. 

 

For what it's worth, the save worked, but we just stood there staring at each other and he wouldn't talk to me so I wasn't sure if it was a glitch or I just hadn't figured out the right path. Thanks for the Help!

If you are submissive, he congratulates you if you did a good test.
If you're rebellious, he beats you up with his whip.

Either way, Baldwyn rescues you.

I really like it, honestly. I will change it for the next update.

It's not my forte, and I'm not making any promises, but if it's easy to implement I'll do a Japanese garden type patch.

 

The same with having the new female character as a companionn. My priority is to continue the story. I do have repeatable quests planned with her, and if all goes well, there will be more visits to your apartment and unlocking options, including the ability to recruit her as your partner. Just don't ask me for something on Yvy's level... ?

 

As far as I know there is no one postulated to do the grammatical and style corrections. I really liked yours, feel free to rewrite them when you have time and desire.

Nice! I went the extra mile because somebody was already asking for a setstage command just a few comments after the spreadsheet. As I thought about it I couldn't blame them. Have to download a file with a weird extension. Many would probably get a popup saying they don't have a program that can open it. Better if the list was also viewable right in the forum.

Instead of a scene with the Pastor, my script is looking for Solomon... who is obviously not there.

I think that with this I already have a few fixes and adjustments to upload version 4.1.2, thanks guys.

I did the upgrade from v3.2.4 to v4.1.1 and if I go to Charon at Drumlin Diner so he can take me to NukaWorld, he acts as if he never met me before and tells me to talk to Kaiser, which gives me another quest objective in my list and its already been completed. All of the stuff in 3.2.4 was done already.

When changing Quests it becomes difficult to maintain compatibility with the previous version. There are many variables and you cannot countermeasure all of them. But at least it hasn't been stucked there.

 

I also recommend starting it again when you have time. Lots of new content and lots of things changed.

(It is no longer necessary to insult Boris's mother to survive)

Got to ask.. Is it okey to update from previous version of nuka ride? i have completed every quest it had, and the message "wait for next update" did show up. Can I update on the same character/save or do I have to start a new one?
