A few posts above I left a patch ? If the animation fails, it will still advance from stage to stage. Install it and load a save before talking to Aaron.

I am testing it and it is working fine for me.

Basically, the quest doesn't progress because there was no animation. If I remember correctly, the mod asks for an animation on the desktop (it would be Savage Cabbage)

I'm looking at the bathroom. As for the turd, the problem is that it can sometimes fall to the ground through the floor grates.

Since you went through the trouble of making a patch for my issue, it would be rude not to...

 

 

For the record:

I have reinstalled Nuka world and its assets, just to make sure there was nothing left over that could have caused an issue from the older files. And I even started a new character... (more on this near the end) 

 

Without the patch you made, I still get hung on Mason, waiting for AAF to do something that it never will... HOWEVER, with the patch, the pole dance scene is skipped (and a pop up even tells me that AAF failed, proceeding on... Nice touch!)

 

So thank you!! Got past the pole dance, and the next 2 animations with Mason worked fine! If I spot anything else I will let you know!

 

 

BUT I did discover something:

AS I said I started a new character after re-installing Nuka Ride and its assets. I used "START ME UP" alternate start mod to place me near the Drumlin Diner.....

 

Duke was waiting for me when I spawned in (all good there!), Talked to him, got the note to start Nuka World, Ran over to talk to Charon.... And only had the first 3 dialogue options and NO option to get to Nuka World! Under a sneaking suspicion, I circled back to Sanctuary, cleared the town, talked to Codsworth, and quick traveled back to Drumlin Diner....

 

And only now did Charon have an option to go to Nuka World.

 

 

My Fear is that you may have a lot of conditions set into your quest triggers, that could cause issues for players, and a headache for you later on in troubleshooting  

 

For example the Sanctuary/ Codsworth condition (That I never triggered cause I skipped the vault and Sanctuary altogether with "START ME UP".)

 

And I can't help but wonder how many others will end up coming here to say that they can't get Charon to take them, or what not...

 

Food for thought anyways!

Enjoying the new content so thanks again for all your hard work. Got a bug though: I'm on the mule mision for Nisha and Hawthorne won't accept the package. He just says his usual generic dialogue. Any chance you could post the set stage console commands to move the quest along please? All the main quests have worked fine for me, just this one.

I don't think there is any condition in Sanctuary.......you don't have to talk to Codsworth or clear the town....I just jump down, cross the river and run all the way to the dinner.  I have noticed that moving away from Charon a ways tends to reset him somehow.  Maybe starting in that cell doesn't trigger a condition and moving out and back resets the cell or something.

Downloaded the main file and cbbe for bodyslide.  Dragged and dropped the files into vortex, then installed and enabled them both, but the esps and bodyslide files etc do not appear in my fallout data files.

 

Do I need to place them manually or am I missing something another download zip file perhaps?  I have all the requirements, except family planning which is soft, and aaf is working correctly.

I don't think so...  there is or WAS something stopping the 4th option from showing up. Even selecting 4 didn't trigger anything., I had walked away from Charon several times (all the way to the house South of Drumlin and back twice. There was never a 4th option. I even reloaded that save from where it spawned me... no 4th option.  IT only appeared when I cleared Sanctuary and talked to codsworth....

 

Loaded up from the bathroom, skipped the house crap with "START ME UP", spawned in the vault. Cleared the vault. Met with Duke, read the note. Ran from the vault to Drumlin, talked to Charon: No fourth option..  Ran to the house (south of Drumlin) and back to Charon several times, no 4th option. Cleared Sanctuary, talked to Codsworth, traveled back to charon: 4th option was there.

 

Loaded the save from the bathroom, Used "START ME UP" to skip the house crap, spawned in the Vault. Cleared. Duke. THEN I cleared sanctuary, talked to Codsworth, ran to Drumlin, talked to Charon: 4th option was there.

 

 

So there is Something... Or its an interaction with "START ME UP" and its changes and Nuka Ride... and if its the latter, well then that's not JB's fault, nor something they should have to fix... (just so we are clear)

This tutorial will help you manually advance a quest if you get stuck. This can happen because of mod conflicts or sometimes even a bug.

 

Below is a list of all Nuka Ride quest stages. Find the quest and stage you are currently stuck at. The console command ShowQuestVariables (SQV) can tell you the Current Stage of a quest if you are unsure. Get the quest ID (the part in parentheses) from the list. Then use the SQV command on that quest. Example:

 

SQV _NukaRide_ToCommonwealth

 

Find the next stage of the quest in the list below. Copy/paste the console command into your console. This advances the quest to that stage. Frequently the next stage is the next numerical stage in the list. Sometimes the next one is a different choice. For example in the first quest the next stage can either be stage 20 (have sex with the protectron) or you can skip all the way to stage 100 (paid the protectron in lieu of sex). Use logic to determine which stage comes next for your choices.

 

Use the SetStage command sparingly. It is typically best to only skip one [Quest] stage forward. This command often works. But not always. You might not know that it broke something until later in the mod. Always make a manual save before using this command. You might need to load back to it later.

 

Some of the later quests have stages tagged with [Function]. These stages are used internally. JB recommends against using SetStage on these.

 

If this tutorial helped you solve a problem please share what the glitch was. If its a bug it can be fixed. Sharing your mod load order can help find conflicts. And maybe fix those too.

Do you possibly have multiple version of Nuka Ride running? One user had renamed the old NukaRide.esp to something else. Then installed the new version. And saw duplicates everywhere. You only want one version installed. Same for shower patches. Only BYOP or CWSS not both. 

I use The Fridge Wireless.  I've had in in my load order on every playthrough since I got back into Fallout two years ago.  It never actually occured to me that the Apartment fridge wasn't a container.  That might solve that mystery.  As for the rest, I only have Nuka Ride installed, and only the CWSS patch.  I wouldn't think Universal Working Bathroom Fixtures would be the culprit but I suppose I could disable it to find out.  I can't think of any other mod that would cause a conflict with the bathroom fixtures, and I show no conflicts in xEdit.

I think you are right, there are some conditions. The mod rather expects you to have interacted with Duke first to have all the options ready.

 

If you don't interact with Duke, some options don't appear. Thanks for letting me know, I'll take a look at it.

 

But basically the conditions (to travel) are these:

 

I have no caps (you have less than 30 caps, Charon offers you to fuck)
You know? I'm going to try this stuff. Let's go. (you have 30 caps, the "I have no money" option is replaced)
Okay, Let's go (only available if you have already traveled)
