mkprovince Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Sora No Otoshimono.gif It's an animated gif. I couldn't pass it up. Sora no Otoshimono has always been one of my top contender for the most WTF anime of the century. Problem is that the anime kind of butchered the whole thing to hell and back with that ending. The manga's ending however resolved much of the tension between that God Almighty bastard and Tomoki; kind of like Tomoki giving the asshole the finger right in the face with a challenge "I dare you to come up to my doorstep personally, you cheeky bastard!" feel.
Kendo 2 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I watched the dubbed version and the guy who did Tomoki's voice was just great. I rarely laugh at anime but Sora no Otoshimono and the first season of High School DxD (the added sound FX) had me rolling. I never read the Sora no Otoshimono manga so I'm glad that Lord-God-Bufu douche got put in his place.
mkprovince Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Gate ep 06. "Start the music". Yep, that's the cue, boys. Lock and load with a big smile on your face. HAHAHAHAHA!
Kpnut Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Been watching Aldnoah/Zero dubbed and it's actually better than the subbed version imo since Eggs doesn't speak in a flat monotone 100% of the time.
TiredGerman Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 So far the anime that is entertaining me the most this season is Shimoneta. I'm one of those types who despite being female likes the occasional dirty joke and I can be rather foul mouthed at times so I could see myself being against such a system and fighting against it. I can second that. At first I thought this show was just another ecchi thing with some weird sh*t thrown in for cheap laughs, but after watching the first four episodes it did strike me as more in depth than just "pants on head retarded girls fall for male lead". And it actually makes, in my opinion, for a interesting setting that has its own issues to tackle. Such as what kind of people would emerge out of a "pure" society, aka has no idea of sexuality? Would the next generation even be capable of forming mutual bonds, let alone marriages? Or maybe I'm just reading into it too much
senioranime Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Just finished Ping Pong the Animation. Such great characters and a really intresting art style. Totally recommend it!

Sorenstar Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Just got done binge watching psycho pass, its been awhile since I got that into an anime.
Kendo 2 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I'm only following three right now; Gansta. and Overlord. I'm also watching Monster Girls just for laughs.
edtide25 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 If you have Netflix... You might wanna try Knights of Sidonia season 1 and 2. Pretty decent story if you don't mind the graphics. Its similar to Neon Genesis Evangelion

Its similar to Neon Genesis Evangelion Why bother with streaming? just download it from nyaa or bakabt Because some people don't want to clog up their hard drives. Especially if an anime in their queue turns out to be a dud. As long as you have a good enough internet connection and adblocker, you'll be fine. I don't use Netflix either. I'd like to interject for a moment
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 What I do with anime I want to keep is download it then re encode it to a smaller file size. I get to keep the Video quality of the show without having to deal with 300MB to 1GB per episode files sizes.
Kendo 2 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I watch on-line because I my PC is my TV. Also, first run anime simulcasts are only available on a few legitimate sites. I watch the commercials because that's how sites get revenue to provide the episodes in the first place.
HarveyTheFirst Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I recommended the anime series Great Teacher Onizuka, Kaichou wa Maid-sama and Azumanga Daioh, they are very funny and very special
Effie Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Finally getting around to catch up with Ore Monogatari!! haha. It's just sad that it doesn't have a drama tag as well, and only shoujo. Because it'll most likely just be sweet romance all the way then D:
Kpnut Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 It's not strictly anime (or manga) but I've been reading a manhwa called The Legend of Maian. It may have a lot of predictable plot twists but it kept me engaged and entertained, just need to wait for it to get updated now which is annoying.
kaycee21 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Working!!! and Joukamachi no Dandelion are by far the best shows this season. The love stories and characters are so well done.
ds64 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Release date: November 21st, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iN-CGE_U_To
mkprovince Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 The latest episode of Monster Musume had references to Metal Gear in it. And Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain did arrive today. Hmm, coincidence? The MGS reference was there ever since the manga came out. It's just a mere coincidence. Just watched Overlord ep09. Wow, just wow. I know the outcome of the fight from reading the LN but seeing the bitch flail in full motion as our villain protagonist slowly crushes her with a hug like they're out on a date under the full moon is just an icing on top of a fruity cake. Next stop, the most awesome fight arc coming right up or at least I hope it is because how the LN described the ensuing fight torched the entire battlefield to kingdom come.
Guest Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I'm underwhelmed by most recent series but Prison School and Food Wars are quite...intriguing.
thingwhatsqueaks Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I'm only following three right now; Gansta. and Overlord. I'm also watching Monster Girls just for laughs. As much as I have enjoyed Gangsta for being a refreshing departure from cliche I am now getting a bit worried about it's character count and story progression vs. its scheduled run time (# of episodes). At time of posting there are three episodes remaining to resolve things OR resolve enough stuff and announce a second season. Very much hoping for the best here but...
