Honestly I like One Piece, despite being able to guess a plot from the first 2 episodes I have no idea where One Piece is going.

Characters are funny and I often find myself laughing.

It gets my seal of approval.

btw, I read the manga, rarely watch the show...

This just in, Bleach is still shit, that is all.

I could say the same thing about the show your name is taken from.

Only good Kamen Rider series was Dragon Knight and that was only because it had Mark Dacascos in it.  :P

i'm in search of an anime i saw a long (long, long) time ago on tv. some years actually. as i don't recall the name and i don't have any pictures so either i figured: why not just ask?

the story was about 2 females working for some kind of agency (for hire by anyone). one rookie and a pro if i remember correctly. in one episode they were ordered to contain a civilian uprising among some workers and one of them held the masses back at a bridge with some kind of rope. in the process she got thrown at with eggs and stuff by the demonstrants and as they later (after the uprising) go into a bar they meet the exact same poeple from before and get thrown out.

i may be asking a bit much, but if anyone recalls the name or has a general direction where i would have to search i would be most appreciative.

last episode of Rokka no Yuusha,.... that ending was the biggest WTH is going on moment for me. I was so dumbstruck during those last few minutes. They know how to end a season man.

Totally enjoyed the ride and pray for more adaptations of the light novel. I might even go read it now that i'm so hooked on it.

Hoozuki no Reitetsu.... Oh, My God! My perspective of Hell just went a whole lot livelier.

I feel like this is a very underrated series.  I enjoyed the characters and appreciated that they went with a somewhat unique art style.

I could have done with a bit more of a focused explanation for the villains motivations and less monologuing but was otherwise fairly satisfied with the conclusion.

I feel like nobody has ever watched the anime i like , none of my friends at least.

I liked Serial Experiment Lain , Basilisk , Gankutsuou and Loveless.

I guess i only like the more "mature",unconventional anime but also yaoi :P

Do you guys know/recommend anything like that?

Off the top of my head:

Shiguri - Death Frenzy

Berserk series and/or movies the golden egg part 1,2 and 3

Psycho pass (1st season, 2nd season is not good)

Akagi

One outs

Red Garden

Shiki

Claymore

At least this is what I think is mature and unconventional anime

I read the synopsis for these and they seem super interesting , I also watched like 5 min from  Shigurui - Death Frenzy and so far i'm loving it.

Thank you so much for the recommendations!

Of the recommendations so far I would 2nd the Psycho-Pass one while ammending the comment to "...2nd season is not as good)" and really the problem there is that the second season is too similar to the first.  The Psycho-Pass movie is also quit good.  I would add as my recommendations:

Ergo Proxy

Black Lagoon

Death Parade

Jormungand  (watch Black Lagoon first;  if you don't like Black Lagoon don't watch this as they're similar but Lagoon > Jormungand)

Gangsta

Now...I would very much recommend not watching Claymore. [rant] It's a 26 episode anime with enough content to cover 12-16 episodes (i.e. there's a lot of filler) AND it was released when less than half the manga upon witch it's based had been published so there's nothing resembling closure with the ending.  One of the most disappointing animes I have ever watched. [/rant]

I agree with you, I was being a bit hasty.

I think the big issue is that the first season is 22 episodes long while the second season is 11.  Now I know I just had a post bitching about the length of a series but in this case I feel like since the overall premise of the two seasons that Psycho-Pass enjoyed is so similar that having a shorter second season didn't allow the new secondary characters to develop the way that similar characters where allowed to develop in the first season.

There where also a few too many moments that required selective amnesia from Akane (i.e. completely forgetting that her boss is basically just evil), selective amnesia from returning characters (i.e. forgetting the the psycho-pass system can be circumvented and/or forgetting that Akane is always right) or both.

This just in, Bleach is still shit, that is all.

You don't have to like it, and no one has to like what you do. The anime ended in 2012 anyway....

True. However, There is a good chance that they will start the anime again when the final arc of the Bleach manga is finished.

i'm in search of an anime i saw a long (long, long) time ago on tv. some years actually. as i don't recall the name and i don't have any pictures so either i figured: why not just ask?

i may be asking a bit much, but if anyone recalls the name or has a general direction where i would have to search i would be most appreciative.

How old was the show? Futuristic dyspotian theme? No mechas?

after the riots they decided to go rogue and betrayed their boss by leaving unauthorized. in the course of events this boss wants to find them and decides to have someone search for them ( one of them was a black guy with a big afro).

they get found and then fight each other. however during the fight one of each side gets injured so they spare each other and search for a means to help the injured).

if i recall correctly there were no mechas involved and a rather neutral theme with riots being the exception. i also don't really know much about the age except that i saw it a few (around 5-6) years back on animax, together with eureka, black lagoon and samurai seven

also thanks for the reply and please pardon my lack of information. it's all just based on memories really.

Edit: i am really just throwing things at a wall, but in my faulty memories the final episode took place in their headquarters located in a huge skysrcaper after they came back from hiding. they killed their former boss after running into other employees and holding them off by blocking the hallway.

It could be Noir or El Cazador de la Bruja. I might be wrong but those are the only two off the top of my head.

Anime is for children, manga is for adults.

Spoken like someone who has never watched anime in their life and is just here to troll. There is anime out there that is NOT in any way, shape, or form safe for children to be watching.
