UnknDoomer Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Well. I didn't enter here for a while and now see that several topics, seems to, completely disappeared. I also tried to put an a regular link on NexusMods in "Saints Row" thread and it was hidden by moderator it says. Links forbidden now? Something change in politics in total? Gaming companies began to put pressure on the forum? Something else?... BTW. No changes happended to some things that were dublicated on Nexus, DeviantArt and etc. as I can say by other hand.
Guest Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Nothing special happened moderation site. Posts may be gone because the OP deleted them.

It isn't entirely clear to me what you mean by this but it reads like you tried to put a link on Nexus to a LL thread. If this is the case they (Nexus mods) will remove that link on the Nexus, even mentioning LL on the Nexus is Verboten!
UnknDoomer Posted May 25, 2021 Author Posted May 25, 2021 @Mez558, here, not there. Update. Perhaps some sort of forum glitch in case I see few now. Will check additionally later.

LL is mentioned and linked there (after all the mod requires SexLab and you can't get it anywhere else). Additionally, I'm often on the forums there regarding technical issues and link to LL (particularly to @donttouchmethere's blog) and receive no blowback from the site. Having said that there are people on Nexus who are anti-LL for sure (the latest comment on Cynthia shows that bias). But, I suppose, there are bigots everywhere.
UnknDoomer Posted May 25, 2021 Author Posted May 25, 2021 Checked additionally. Was some sort of a glitch on my side, seems to. Topic can be closed.

Did this used to be the case and they relaxed it or am I completely imagining this then? Edit: It looks like it DID use to be the case... About 5 years ago.. Finger on the pulse, me ?

Now, while one could argue about the difference between a sexually graphic image and a mod which involves sexual activity, there are many sexually graphic images on Nexus and many of those have been there for years but the double standards continue. 2014 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60760?tab=images 2021 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/106150?tab=images
Mez558 Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 My only evidence of this ban/block/blacklist/whatever being a thing is a reddit thread I found on a search to see if I was actually imagining this (seems a pretty poor thing to waste my imagination on but..) Not exactly infallible evidence, I admit.
27X Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 There was most definitely a ban/blacklist. There is still most definitely a double standard of what is allowed and what isn't based on where in the pecking order the submitter exists. PIctures posted here as generic offerings will get you permabanned on the nexus, even in the supporter section.

Yeah, I guess it's okay to post even CLAUDIA'S LITTLE SECRET and a buttload of images at Nexus, just so long as LoversLab isn't mentioned.
belegost Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 Depends on the language used. I was replying to someone about compatibility issues and mentioned Skooma Whore, by full name. The post got auto-removed as soon as I pressed "Post". So I had to type everything again, this time omitting the word "whore" and it got there no problem. So there definitely is auto-moderation but that's understandable considering its a huge site and inevitably there will be idiots calling other people's names. EDIT: I will also add that apparently links to sites like Pornhub are okay as well provided the mod is tagged as adult-only. Saw someone post a bunch of character presets and a link to PH page where they were uploading videos starring those characters. They were neither banned nor the mod or or links removed.

Pictures of sexualized content, which include skimpy/naked characters, even in very provocative poses are fine provided they are tagged properly as adult content. Pictures of actual sexual acts involving those characters are what's banned. I wouldn't call that double standard, just a standard.
Ashal Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 There is a blacklist of links and terms that will send a post to auto-moderation before it can be shown. Generally this is links to sites that provide pirated/cracked content and sites that provide content that enable underage characters to be sexualized. Posts containing a variety of words related to pedophilia are also blacklisted and will result in the post requiring moderator approval.

I've been a registered user for over 12 years but I have never been and probably never will become a "supporter", whatever that means. My post was based solely on daily observation of what gets posted on the Nexus, more specifically on Skyrim and Skyrim SE sections, and what sticks and what doesn't. It is true there used to be a very derisive attitude towards LL in the past, and I am going to admit that I was guilty of that as well, but I have noticed that it has changed dramatically over the last several years. A lot of mod authors post their creations on both sites. A lot of users use both sites. Skimpy clothed/half-naked characters depicted in lightly erotic fashion were always on the Nexus for as long as I remember. Full frontal nudity is also present for example on mod pages like various Bodyslide presets or HIMBO and there's a lot of it. What was not there and still isn't is a clearly pornographic content. I'm not sure where the actual line is drawn between erotic/pornographic but that's neither here nor there. Of course I am referring to various Elder Scrolls mod pages, including Oblivion, Skyrim and SSE. I don't know what the general attitude towards that is on other games but those three (and Fallout) are the biggest communities so they are a good compass.

That must be how a mod named STREET WHORE by Oldwolf58 is able to be withstand such isolation and prejudice, Adult tag and blatant warnings. From the pics in there, you'd think he was LAPF-ing something (Oblivion Lovers mod apparently not used). Now I have seen THREE posts that do, in fact, include LAPF in their descriptions: DMZ DARK SEDUCER by Mahtawa (suggesting a BBB skeleton whether LAPF of not), ZOMBIE RACE HGEC and ROBERT MALE WIP by tbsk (crediting the LAPF Skeleton), and SKELETON WHIP LOVERS DR6 AND UVII by Elgado2k and Snusmumriken and saying it was for Lovers LAPF "latest version". But there were more posts with LoversLab involved such as the MATERNITY WEAR ADDITION USING RESOURCE ADDITIONS by mm3Miller (for TamagoSetBody), and ESTRUS FEMALE VOICE REPLACER by ger4. Hell, even a LIGHT COMPATIBLE SKELETON WITH WINGS AND LOVERS PK (Yes, by name) posted by @sunhawken is in there from 2019. However, there are no direct links or URLSs to LoversLab within any of these posts. Not in the main descriptive post, not in requirements, nor support posts. And nowhere in their forum it appears. You can mention LoversLab in a description ( Hey, visit LoversLab! ), but no links.

As I mentioned above, if you go to the Nexus version of my mod, Cynthia the Spellsword, and click on the requirements, both SexLab Framework and SexLab Aroused Redux are listed, in blue, as off-site requirements. Click on either and they will bring you here to LL. Don't take my word for it - try it. I just rechecked and it still works! (Edit - PS; while there feel free to download and/or endorse it! ?)
LongDukDong Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 Whooh... that black clad babe? Did that already. Edit: Oh, not the same one I was thinking of. Hm. Yes, you do have LL added in the main post. I'm thinking it may be because your post was made way more tasteful and not appearing as Adult-Only oriented. Only one submitted shot shows an interlude between consenting adults, and it is near the end and tucked away.
