Beardofsocrates Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 @Bad Dog That surprises me quite a bit. I thought for a tongue flicker would require a bit more magic than than the morphs. That seems very clever to blend in the the tongue motion with the occasional blinking. Personally, I would give them blinking as a hybrid trait. Snake eyes, but muscles and nerves remain functional from the original species. Some notes from New Vegas: -Their ears do seem to retract prior to pouncing. Not sure if this is something that can be achieved with the expressions, or could conflict with headgear? If not I find the display of their fangs/canine teeth to be a neat feature.
Bad Dog Posted November 7, 2021 Author Posted November 7, 2021 I've been sitting on a request for otters and the plan is the Far Harbor folks can be otters. Selachii work fine with FFO as an addon so I haven't included them.

I'm not quite sure which specific morphs they're included in to be triggered like that, but I'm pretty sure FF4 races already fold their ears when angry or in combat (or at the very least horses do), so it shouldn't be hard to do as well for snekdogs. 55 minutes ago, Bad Dog said: I've been sitting on a request for otters and the plan is the Far Harbor folks can be otters. Maybe I'll have to get off my ass and find a proper ADS for them. Or APS, but that one's ugly. Besides, my sharks need some other water-dwelling species to keep them company and/or hold a friendly rivalry with. ?

Bad Dog Posted November 8, 2021 Author Posted November 8, 2021 That could easily be done (sharks for otters). The DLCs are their own addon anyway. Ears are a problem in FO4 because of the way the morphs work. Instead of expressions or phonemes, you give the engine mouth and eyebrow movements. So you don't have an "anger" expression, you just have brow and mouth movements. I've tied the ears to mouth movements, so smile == ears forward, frown == ears back. Works well enough. I tried tying them to brow movements and they were hyperactive.

Dragon on the Web Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Alright so I've been trying to find a solution to this problem for a while and I can't figure it out, but certain NPC's (synths and male horses are the ones I remember) just don't have a body. This issue is specific to Fallout 4 VR (Fallout 4 2D works fine) and I can't find any information as to why this is. All plugins have been edited to version .95 using xEdit. Does anyone have a clue as to why this may be happening?
Bad Dog Posted November 9, 2021 Author Posted November 9, 2021 I might get to the point of kinda liking these guys. Spoiler Textures are still nowhere near final, but I wanted to see how they looked in game before I did much more work on them. Ghouls don't get hair, all but three, and I don't see much need to give them hair, especially since it would have to be fit to them. Also this: Tell me FO4 doesn't animate eyes by sliding the UV around on top of the texture. Because it looks an awful lot like that's what they're doing. 2

If you're asking for new/standalone followers that use the FF4 races but don't replace the vanilla ones, that's possible in theory but unlike Skyrim, creating new followers for FO4 is total ballache so it's unlikely to ever happen.

I'd love that as well, but as I said making followers in FO4 is a pain compared to Skyrim. Skyrim had "shared/generic" follower voice lines for several voices (and there were mods to add them to the handful ones that didn't have them), so all you had to do was add the proper factions to a NPC and they would work at least with basic functionality. FO4 only has "unique" companions in vanilla with their own unique voice each and none of their lines are shared, so you would need to come up with your own voice lines and scripts for any hypothetical followers you wanted to create. Which is doable, but requires either splicing vanilla voice lines together (long and tedious process which also limits the stuff they can say), generating them with a text-to-speech program (still tedious and also the result sounds robotic as fuck), or finding existing voice recording set that covers all the required lines and is free/legal to use (so grabbing them from other games is not an option, for example). chaostech321 Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Quick little bug report. Clothing that shows skin seems to be bugged on female characters. tfw your nipple is on your chest and your vagina texture leaks onto your leg

Woops, my bad. It isn't under prerequisites so I didn't know I needed it. Thanks for the help.

IceBlazeWinters Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 for some reason the settler npcs (the ones that appear after you place a beacon) are all humans after i installed the updated files for npcs and dlc npcs
Bad Dog Posted November 10, 2021 Author Posted November 10, 2021 (edited) Fukkit. Legit entirely human or just human heads? Wondering if I just didn't run facegen on them or they never got furrified. I don't see any that weren't furrified. Edit: Target one of them in the console and give me an ID if you can. Edited November 10, 2021 by Bad Dog

Madrias Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 You know, I just have to say, this is great. I'm using a slightly-older version than the most up-to-date one, but that's fine with me: I'm running just the base file and a player file (lion, for the record), but deliberately left the NPCs as humans. I'm enjoying this greatly. (Admittedly, as well, I've altered some of my files to my tastes. Different male body because even though these ones are very well done, I didn't need the extra 'functionality' for my game. Added in a bit of a personal tweak so that I take reduced fall damage and have an increased jump height (cats are quite agile and should be able to fall from/jump to greater heights than humans), and also gave me an increase in unarmed damage.) As for why I've gone for being the only beast in a world of humans, well... I prefer it that way. Was previously using a different mod that let me play as a wolf race, but now, I get to be the king of beasts.

Before that though ensure that the FFO esp's are at the bottom (highest index) of your load order.
Bad Dog Posted November 11, 2021 Author Posted November 11, 2021 I made a new MO profile, disabled the NPC mod, installed the kit into a new mod, loaded up, and summoned a few Workshop npcs. They all arrived as furry. So unless you can give me an ID or more exact pointer, I dunno. Check load order. Maybe you have a mod that affects settlers after FFO?
IceBlazeWinters Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 after several crashes trying to scrap sanctuary, turning off a scrap mod and turning on a blank sanctuary mod, marcy and jun returned to being furs. 1
