You can clean the save file with ReSaver of all scripts from the mod, so then it can be turned on as "new". But keep in mind that UD requires loading at the same time as starting a new game, so the result of enabling it midway through is unpredictable.

Unlock all DDs from character, either by normal means or by using Debug menu 2. Check via console that no DD script instances are worn by character. I use informative console, click on char, and then check via Equipment page 3. Check that no DD inventory devices are equipped via inventory screen 4. With char still clicked and marked as active via console type "inv" 5. Search for any items without names, only FormIDs which are not marked as Worn and remove them using removeitem console command. You can be smart here, storing all your inventory in some chest before doing this, greatly speeding up search. 6. Finally, use general fix command from UD Debug menu. PS. Regarding those item removal mods: any mod that doesn't respects Sexlab_NoStrip keyword breaks DDs on their removal. Known culprits are Baka's BaboDialogue and vanilla prison for example. I.e. any mod which uses slot search and strip function of their own and not uses Sexlab strip function. Edited April 16, 2025 by kurotatsu

I used the showinventory command in the past to check for problems with DD (not NG). I will check if it shows these Phantom items, although my main problem is that my broken LO _creates_ new ones. I will most likely have to abandon this LO and start a new one. I used this for testing new mods in a stressful environment, 450ish mods. I also ignored the modding rules, I added/removed mods in the ongoing save, so it is no wonder it is broken, I expected it will happen. Still, I'll try what you wrote, I hope it works in my LO too, I appreciate the help. Edit: I tried it, I created a Phantom Device (I just need to remove a DD to create one.) Unfortunately the Phantom Device did not appear in the inventory, not even the script part. The Unlock All option does remove them from the list though. Edited April 16, 2025 by monsta88
monsta88 Posted April 17, 2025 Posted April 17, 2025 (edited) I just saw there is a new NB (Apr 17). Does it fix the crash caused by the Black Goo? Unfortunately, UD is one of the mods which doesn't start up, I got this message while starting a new game: Since I'm new to AE, I don't know if this is something trivial or not. I see the MCM, but it is just one page, confirming that it didn't start up. Latest AE, UD 250417 NB, DD NG 0.4.0. + Synthesis patch Also would like to mention that another mod which I have problems with is Faster SMP. Its installer doesn't offer me any Skyrim version, so I used an SE installation, then manually copied in the 1170 dll from the compressed installer. It comes after I'm pressing New game and I'm still in the Racemenu. Basically a few seconds into a new game. I barely start to change the character generation sliders and I get a fatal error popup. After an Orgasm caused by Devices, there's several seconds of animation playing while the "pleasure" meter progresses towards the next Orgasm. And by the time the animation finishes, the bar is like 70% or more toward the next "Orgasm". Which wouldn't be so bad if all I wanted to do is watch my character suffer Orgasms all day until the plugs stop on their own. Now I don't really need to stop the animation, but I wonder if there is a way to shorten the time the animation plays out? Like cut it in half? Technically I guess I could turn down "Vib Strength" in the Custom Orgasm section of UD, but I will consider that if there is no way to shorten the animation.

I could be wrong since I just got the mod, but you can go into sexlab and change the duration of animations there to your liking. I always lowered the animation time there so I didnt experience your issue first hand. Or you can go into the UD MCM (Custom Orgasm) and turn down the arousal multiplier, I think, which should make the arousal bar go up slower.

After all, how can one reach the locks through armor? Well maybe the PC (and helper) can reach limb restraints without stripping the clothing but to get off a piercing, plugs, belts, etc. Oh, the armor is so blocking those.

It works fine for an NPC helping a player to escape and the cooldown makes sense for that. But when the player is helping a follower escape, the cooldown is annoying. I know the MCM has a time adjustment setting, but it only goes as low as 5 min, and it won't go below that (even with the % reduction setting). At timescale 20 maybe it is close enough to being instant, but at timescale 6 I am constantly told that I am in cooldown and have to wait. Half the time when I try to help, I get a message about the follower being busy and I have to try again. I think that sandboxing counts as "busy" when the follower strolls around in between escape attempts? I don't know what it is if not that. Also, I only get told that they're busy after going through the whole set of menu boxes for helping. Then have to go through the boxes again and hope that they aren't busy again. If the follower struggles on their own, I can't join in to help them. I have to watch them finish the struggle and then wait for their exhaustion to expire before I can try to help. This also happens a lot because I want them to escape on their own and have the interval timer set low. The menu selection boxes have a small unpause between them, so a follower will sometimes start doing something after being originally idle when I try to help, thus canceling the attempt. The player struggle system has some "wait it out" moments too, yeah. Like the multi-vibration multi-orgasm loop when stamina is too low to effectively resist. But it happens a lot less than having to wait for the NPC, and I think it integrates better. But the next time I have an follower with a full set of devices while I have none, I may just debug-menu them all off and "wait" for a few hours, so I'm not trapped in that damned "Follower is busy" loop over and over. My suggestions for helping NPCs struggle: Separate timers for NPC-helps-player and player-helps-NPC, and the second one should probably be low or zero. NPCs "announce" that they are going to start struggling, putting them on a 15-30 second delay. This allows the player to intervene to help them first. If the NPC is "busy" when trying to help them, keep the player frozen and automatically retry for the next 5-10 seconds, so they don't have to navigate that same set of menus again and again. Also, lock shields. The minigame is just more lockpicking, so it is just like having more locks. Why not change the minigame to the plug removal minigame, like prying aside the shields? I know that it is just button mashing, but it would make shields functionally different from locks. Overall, though, still very happy with this system. I always struggled with how to have fun with DD integrated into the main game, and UD finally solves that. Devious Lore had its own escape minigame which I tried in my last playthrough, using dD Enchanted Chests and Devious Lore for the gameplay loop, but it got boring fast and I set the DDEC chances down to zero after a while. I am still experimenting with mods before starting a new playthrough and UD is going to have a solid spot in the mod order.

Possible new issue: - The Struggling minigames never crit. I have found only the Abadon Scout gear and I have played the struggling minigame at least 20 times. Mostly the Struggle with Magic and the Regular one, once with Helper NPC. Never saw a crit effect. It was enabled on Shader and UI. I tried to change the setting, so maybe reset it, it didn't help. The shader does work, I saw it before the Lockpicking minigame, but never on the Struggling one. A small UI issue: - In the User Interface MCM, Device widgets section, if you change the Widgets Vertical position, the MCM does not refresh. Sure. You dont have to explain to me why its wrong. You need to realize that I dont have time to test all features on all possible npcs, so I didn't know this. I didn't interact with children npcs in quite some time as I mostly just start new game, play for few hours and then start new game again when everythings working. I've used Devious Lore's minigame, but this looks even better. If it is stable enough, at least. DDNG 0.4.0 and UD 3.0 (one on GitHub) is compatible. Reason why I said that previous post was because 0.4.0 was only present on discord at that time and was required for UD 3.0 to work. So as long as you use DDNG 0.4.0, and UD version from GitHub, there should be no issue

The weird thing is that the nipple ones have different Modifications. In fact that might be the core of the problem (IMO), that new, random modifiers are generated at each equip. After removing a piercing, it gets unequipped, but the 2nd copy stays on the character, according to the UD Debug menu. Inventory shows the item unequipped, in fact I can drop both. Rescan Slots still shows it in the Debug menu. Using the Unlock option in the Debug menu does not work, it is still in the list. The Fixes/Unequip Slot (slow) feature does not see them. I also tried with the Devious Devices v5.2 debug feature to remove the items, but these are phantom devices, not actually equipped to slots. Naked Dungeons has a chance when you enter a dungeon to remove all your items, except unremovable ones. Probably it is using some method which is not compatible with DDs, now I remember it had issues with regular DD as well. In my current test I had both the above items equipped when i got hit by the mod. now I have 3 pairs in the debug menu. Another weird thing is, that in my inventory only one of them got duplicated. It seems I need to say goodbye to that mod, it is unlikely that someone will update the item removal script. Any mod that forcefully removes all items will break UD. I'm planning to add native hook that will prevent this on native level, but it will be quite complicated to reverse engineer (but easier that the lockpick hooks which I had to do from scratch). If you tested it on 2.1.1, I would recommend wait for next release or try the version from github. As some of the issue you described should be fixed in latest indev version.
