skyriimmods123 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Hey guys , I need bit of help , I wanna know if my fuz do ro working or not , b'cuz I don't even know for wat is this for , is to supposed to add voice? or subtitles in mods? I downloaded fuz do ro with NMM and it's enabled in load order, it says mod is active . if I enable dialogue in skyui , it freezes the game at point when jailer take away your inventory. so I disabled it , now when I walk near guards , subtitles come "it's good they caught you" " shame on you" with no voice , so I wanna ask is this effect of fuz do ro or it's normal to have those subtitles. I have skse 1.65 and skyui 4.0 , my game is 1.932

I have skse 1.65 and skyui 4.0 , my game is 1.932 First: It seems that Fuz is not correctly installed if mod "freezes" at that point. I have no experience with NMM, so I'm not sure if it can install Fuz correctly. I'm pretty sure that I have to tweak Wrye somewhat to make it install Fuz correctly (click "Extra directories" or similar). That said, what Fuz does is it helps mods with no voice acting (like Prison Overhaul) still correctly handle dialogue. You will not hear any voices, but you will see subtitles and dialogue will otherwise work correctly. Without Fuz, dialogue will not work correctly unless it is voice acted. Many mods solve this by having silent files for each race, and for each line of dialogue. This wastes a lot of space in the mod because you'll end up with a ton of silent sound files. I recommend you take the time to install Fuz properly. It's worth it... and PO won't work with dialogue enabled unless you do. Then again, my dialogue writing skills suck, but there are other mods out there ...
shinji72 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Part of the punishment could be throw in a jail with some horny prisoners... and then when you think you had enough they take you out and bring you to another cell with more horny prisoners! Ahahah you're making me a sick man Xaz!

Chrisscogg Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm having and issue. Anytime I try to save after being released (or being marched, for that matter) from prison will result in a CTD. Not sure if the problem is universal, but I encountered the issue in Solitude. Sorry to be a bother, but my issue was never resolved. Could I have some assistance, please?
shinji72 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Did a courier come with a note at the same moment U were arrested?
Chrisscogg Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Did a courier come with a note at the same moment U were arrested? No. If there was, he didn't start a conversation. So, to my knowledge, there was not a Courier.
shinji72 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Just because when you commit an act of violence for the 1st time in Solitude I think it start a courier quest (someone ask you to beat somelese). So I had this courier giving me the letter while I was brought to jail... I then I've got the crd just before release.

Sorry, but I have no idea what could be causing your CTDs. I don't have problems like that so I don't know how to try and resolve them.

Sorry, but I have no idea what could be causing your CTDs. I don't have problems like that so I don't know how to try and resolve them. I have encountered the same problem in Whiterun. After my final whipping in the cell, if I try to save it between that point and shortly after getting my stuff back I get a CTD. After several tries going back to my last save, I hung around the prison, had sex with the guards and jailer, left and then saved fine. So not sure what caused it to work. Maybe just had to wait for some script to finish or the act of having sex via Sexlab Romance reset something.
SuperGumby Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 BTW xaz, I love your work and I'm really looking forward to more. Other than the little CTD issue above, it works great. Love the broom!

I had suspected it was Lovers Comfort because I think Lovers Comfort is trying to update the Jailer's arousal status or trying to have the Jailer rape my character which somehow changed the Jailer's behaviour which then caused a crash.

No, I do not have Sexlab's Lovers Comfort. In addition, I did use showracemenu to change my character's apperence. That was all. I didn't change her race or anything like that. I don't know or think that it would cause the CTDs, but I figured it might be worth noting. Thanks for the help, guys. I really appreciate it.
Agnes_ Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Thank you so much! Can't wait. I have an idea if I may be so bold to request it, I don't know anything about scripts or how easy it would be to implement it, but what if the guards could throw you food once a day, it could even be stale to make it more realistic, I imagine prison food sucks. This used to be the case, but since jail time was reduced to 24h or so, I felt it was probably not necessary any more. I don't know how long it takes to starve to death but I hope it's a lot longer than 24h (assuming you eat normally otherwise). Hey xaz, welcome back. Yeah I didn't notice you only spend 24 hours in jail, my bad, the food is definitely not needed. I got caught with my main character for the first time today, she's really greedy and wouldn't pay the fine, she thought the punishment wouldn't be so bad, oh boy was she wrong. It was a great gameplay experience, thanks for making this mod
iggypop1 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Hi Tried the new upload today very nice thank you. When my toon is fucked in the pillory by guard he doesnt unequip armor?! shouldt it be so? and when he is finished the pillory disappears until the jailor comes to fetch me. Thanx

Thanx Yea, version 19 has that problem with armor unequip. The pillory disappearing, I've no idea. I've seen that myself, so I'll see if I can fix it.
Spyder Arachnid Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Had a quick question that was a bit unclear to me. What does the options in MCM do exactly? Like I see: Broom, Whipping, etc, but wasn't sure what the slider for it does. Does increasing it make it happen more frequently, or does decreasing it make it happen more frequently? That was the only thing I was confused about. Otherwise great mod. Works fine, haven't had any issues.
nhl Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 @SpyderArachnid Your first guess is right: increasing the weight linked to an option makes that punishment happen more frequently.
Spyder Arachnid Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 @SpyderArachnid Your first guess is right: increasing the weight linked to an option makes that punishment happen more frequently. Ah cool deal. Thanks.
xaz Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 @SpyderArachnid Your first guess is right: increasing the weight linked to an option makes that punishment happen more frequently. Ah cool deal. Thanks. The sliders represent relative frequency with zero being the exception (disabling that particular scene). So a slider that's twice as high as another slider means that scene is twice as common to occur. How often punishments are triggered is controlled by the "time between" slider. This means that setting all the sliders to max will make each scene equally likely, as will setting all the sliders to one. Zero means that the scene is disabled. Setting all sliders to zero disables all scenes in the pillory, and you'll just stay there until it gets dark with no other actions. There is probably no real reason to want to tweak this. If you're confused by the text above, just set all to default, and disable the ones you don't like by setting them to zero.
DeepBlueFrog Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Hi Xaz Would you consider removing sleep from the hardcore mode? I would like to use it but it is very hard to do with a Basic needs kind of mod running at the same time. Also - I ran into the same missing MCM menu. I will try to use MCM 4.0 and see if that helps based on your comment above...
Seiji-Chan Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Just wanted to pop in and say that this mod is awesome! My character popped into Solitude and decided the public execution going on was totally uncool, so she turned the executioner into a popsicle. Obviously there were too many guards and Rogvirr got offed anyways... but she did the noble thing and gave him a fighting chance. 24 hours later, after a day on the racks and a lashing in the cell, I can say the mod worked quite well. Only had one hang up (literally) where the jailer got stuck on the wall while leading me to the cell and nothing would progress. I used a console command to bring the jailer TO my character to fix it.
MonaBabii Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Hey! Pretty sure I already said this a few pages back, but I'll say it again, great mod I'm having a little issue, and it's an interesting one: I downloaded the latest version, upgrading from my previous 0.17 to the newest 0.19 (and followed the instructions for the safest way to upgrade), and I committed a crime for the sole purpose of going to jail. Everything worked out great and without a hitch, from getting caught and walked to the Riften jails, to the moment the jailer beats me up and walks me towards my belongings when my jail time is done... and theeen... the interesting bit; When everything was over, and I put my stuff back on and was ready to go through the main door to get out of the dungeon, just as I activate the door, my game crashes (taking into consideration that I have "travel" auto-save on. Then I reloaded an auto-save from when I waited inside the jail, and let it work until I was released once more. I put my stuff back on, and this time I decide to save before attempting to go through the door... Bam, immediate crash, and it didn't even log/record/marked the save. At this point it's pretty safe to say for some reason after all the XPO content is actually done, my game simply cannot save after going through Prison Overhaul or it will crash... I say this because my third attempt, I loaded a save just before committing the crime, and did stuff with my inventory to sort of try and mimic losing, regaining and re-wearing all my items and such, then went to save the game and it worked. Do you have -any- clues what could the problem be? considering everything the mod is supposed to do actually works nicely? Here's a list of settings that I changed just as the mod loaded for the first time since the upgrade, and saved (this save is the one I loaded on my third attempt, and it's just before I go commit a crime to test the mod): -Chance for a female jailer: 0% -Who will abuse my character on punishments: Jailer -Enabled Change Timescale (can't remember if this was on by default or not, so just gonna type in how the setting was) -Enabled Fast-forward ... maybe one of those options somehow screwed my game once I got released? EDIT: I read a couple pages back that a couple of people were having my same issue, so it's a bit of a comfort to know I'm not the only one. Trying to think of a possible cause, it doesn't sound too unreasonable that some script may still be running after you get released. My problem with trying the "wait for some time after being released" work-around is that my game auto-saves on wait, so I either have to disable auto-save on waiting before doing so, or wait manually, which, if either works, that would get a little annoying but nothing too serious since I'm not really going to jail every 2 seconds anyway. I'll give the "waiting" work-around suggestion a go and update this post if it works. EDIT 2: Disabled Auto-save on Wait, and waited for 5 hours before attempting to save. When I tried saving I crashed. If there -is- a script that needs to be terminated after you get released, it doesn't seem like it will shut itself down.
Pfactor Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 sorry I haven't been able to respond, computer problems and major internet connection issues too. Yes I did do a clean install as stated in the first page, I still have the same issues I've always had with this mod. Now the MCM works, and so does the "skip long guard" option at the bottom which comes in handy because the guard/jailer always gets stuck. If I kill more than one guard to up my bounty to a major crime, ALL the guards keep attacking me even when bound. This has been a constant issue with the last 3 versions I have played. I'm cuffed, gagged and arrested, and the guards keep killing me. Even when I fast forward to the jail with the equipment chest, they keep attacking. I can only 'successfully" get arrested for minor assault. That means they don't kill me. When I lower the bar for serious crimes to nothing, and no matter how far into the future it says my release date is, I always get released the next day. Only once have I ever been put in the pillory, only in Solitude and never in Whiterun. Normally I spend the night in the jail cell waiting or sleeping. The jailer comes in the morning, sometimes whips me, but usually just releases me that very next day no matter how serious the crime was. I tried for more than two hours to be jailed properly but the same issues kept coming up. At least I didn't CTD except in Cidna mine when all those Forsworn kept attacking me from my previous encounter with them. Maybe my other mods are interfering, maybe I should put this higher up in the load order?

It's happens because of papyrus conflict. Try to remove ALL mod files (especialy scripts), load your last save and resave it without mod, after this you may install last version of the mod and the crashes will no more.
