HELP! Stuck on button puzzle in maintenance area! Keeps saying button is blocked, maybe no power. What do I do? This is very frustrating.

Yes, that one is ugly, I don't remember the solution... There should be a walkthrough quite early in the thread.

Yeah there used to be a Video but it looks like it's no longer available. So I'll give a brief explanation. Racconity had some nice Ideas for some help messages that we will implement. Should also make it easier for returning players. 

 

1. Starting from the very begining.
2. Close both valves the one on the console and the one at the boiler. 
3. Get some stuff to burn, either the wood that blocks the Sphere exit, or all the books that are in the shelfs. Place them under the Boiler and light them with either the Lighter or a fire spell.
4. Go back to the control room and open the valve. Click the left most button on the Console and close the door to the boiler, next click the button that opens the sliding wall for the three buttons. Click the left most button again and then click the right button on the console to start the maintanace mode. 
5. Now you are on a timer, go to the three buttons and search the comination. It is always random so I can't give you the combination but only click each button once. 

 

And that's about it. Hope it helps.

Save game before you do that part 😛  There are different outcomes and you may want to see what happens.

Not when you want it to save. Also autosaves will get overwritten kind of quickly. The outcome could be long overwritte by the time you want to try other outcomes. And there's actually more than 2 outcome, so do you want to rely on diceroll that the 1 autosave will still be there? xD  No really you need manual saves when it comes to Skyrim.

Hi,

every Time i play this Quest. the Game saves automatically when i press the right Button at least ( before the riddle with the 3 Buttons ).

 

Another thing if you bring a newer Version of this Mod, please deactivate the reset function an the Dwemertower ( the Tower was used to go into the Prison ).

This tower get resetted ( Tower are back in the Ground) from the Game.

Yeah that's right I scripted a manual save when the button for Maintanance is pressed.

 

Can you elaborate on this? Under what circumstances does the tower get reset back into the ground? This happend to anyone else too?

Hi Mr. Prime66,

 

The Tower resets after the Standard reset time for this Cell.

 

Ps.

 

I use "AutosaveManager" ID on Nexsus 34842. Its eons better then the Vanilla Save System.

It took Bethesda 3 years to create Skyrim with a large team and nothing but time, stop being silly.

Was trying this mod.

 

Went over the maintenance area, died once and made it in the second run.

 

But then, if I try to.remain as worker, a message from author pop ups and I'm given the prison master key.

 

Assume this is intended, right?

 

Should I re-register in other options for other things to happen?

EDIT: Went through the rest of the options (except the one that requires to have 40K) and outcome was the same.

 

I'm on version 0.74SE (It's up to date?)
