To test the mod, I created a new character (at the time) - who is based in Markath (already owns the house) ... so is at level 1.

When speaking to the innkeeper of the tavern, I had the corresponding option about the establishment in front of the city... so I was also able to speak to the special security guard at the entrance.

The language test mentioned is probably only intended for the other access options (such as "Inspector") for the guard - but as a "kitchen helper" you also get access.

In general it makes sense to start a new game with this mod

i talked to him after setting my skill, i got the new diologue but when he says he'll give the signal nothing happens

Hi, so I'm wondering, if there has been any conversion made for CBBE? I've tried to go through the forum as much as possible to see if someone made one, but so far no luck.

I know that it officially only supports UUNP, but when you've got a load order catered to cbbe it's hard to switch that up. (obviously not saying the authors had to make sure there was cbbe or anything). Anyway, was wondering if anyone has made it and if anyone could possibly link it?

@Rubbermattworked on it at some point I think, I read that somewhere, don't know if they made any progress on that?

There are CBBE versions of the clothes included in the mod itself. I think they are up to date for now (until new clothes and stuff gets added). I did use those when I installed the mod a while ago and it worked nicely.

Huh, that's strange. I'll try to reinstall it, see what that gives. I am one of those notorious Vortex users though, so that might be the issue, although I hope it's not.

So, I've tried it, reinstalled the facility, manually added the delta patch first as well. And still no luck, in fact the problem goes so far that I can't even select a body in bodyslide when I try to build them. And it's not like they're prebuild because when I attempt use them, like here I tried to put on the doll suit, I have some stuff that goes in different slots on top, which shows you that this is actually my character, and well it basically doesn't exist. Now I am using Vortex, so I'm not sure if that's the issue. Besides that I'm on Skyrim AE, sadly, but it's not like they left us with a lot of choice. Anyway if anyone has an idea what's going on, please do help me. Maybe there's a way to use UUNP side by side with cbbe, for like just these outfits or something.

An update:

I experimented a bit with stuff here and there. For starters, I definitely don't have the ability to convert these myself, just saying. My knowledge regarding skyrim se bodies in not incredibly large.

But, I tried opening some stuff in outfit studio, this gave me some weird things, generally the shape seemed to be just fine, but it was rather the textures that were acting up.

Then I did another experiment. I downloaded UUNP legacy for SE, from Nexus. Ran it side by side with my cbbe and build the files from rubberresources for the uunp body, since now a body actually showed up, which didn't happen when I tried cbbe options. I ran the game, tried the outfits, and still had the same result. Tried disabling cbbe then trying it again, no difference. You can see how there's shadows at some places, especially when you have the 3D vision you can go all around it, you see a bunch of shadows that kinda shows you that something is going on. Anyway I think the problem lies with the textures, but quite frankly I have no idea. I tried comparing the file structure to other mods that have outfits for cbbe. It gave me the impression that the file was build in a strange way, but yet again, I don't have the experience to back this up.

Finally, something strange I found, but I'm not sure if it matters, is the file "desktop.ini" in

The Facility 0.74 [SE]\02 CBBE\CalienteTools\BodySlide\SliderSets

The file has a bunch of so called localized file names in it, but it all seems to be referencing to UUNP stuff instead of CBBE. So maybe this is an issue? See screenshot underneath.

Anyway, if someone could possibly get back to me on this and maybe help out, I'd be very grateful.

The Facility 0.74 [SE]\02 CBBE\CalienteTools\BodySlide\SliderSets

Siehe Screenshot unten.

The clothing for this mod was originally designed for Unp bodies - the cbbe conversion was done by users - who use the mod themselves but were not its authors.

Accordingly, the cbbe conversions can be used for a test run - but nothing more.

The whole project has been stuck in a very early stage for 2-3 years - maybe 10-15% of the originally planned ideas have been implemented ... with a lot of errors

Ah, THAT. If memory serves that is because none of the installed presets match with what the outfits were built for. Given the changes to CBBE bodies that have happened since the last update (such as 3BA, I guess that is part of the reason). There was a way to add these using outfit studio, but it has been too long (I will look into this once I have time again). Anyway, I tend to work around that by not selecting a group and just pick a outfit where I can select a preset and then click batch build. Not the best way to do it as it may cause some clipping issues, but it is a way.

huh, I see. Sad to see this didn't get any further. I remember playing this mod on Oldrim like some years ago, it def had some potential.

I might try that workaround later and see what I can achieve, but I guess I'll have to give it up. Maybe one day I'll mod legendary again then I can try it out.

which version do you want to read ... the official one from the mod authors (who haven't been in touch for a few months) - or my unofficial one

The mods say they're still working on it occasionally- but most ppl aren't expecting any new updates at this point.

I would recommend that you have the thread locked - then you will have peace from free speech

Sorry - 3 years ago you mod authors made a huge hype about this work - after less than 1 year the air had gone out of it... what remains is an extremely rudimentary mod - which the users of this forum have been struggling with ever since.

It's not as if one doesn't understand how complicated creative processes are in everyday life... but since nothing visible and tangible (because playable) has been added here for two years - you either have to live with the criticism of your INACTIONS (it's not about what you do "at home" - but what the forum users can download here) or you withdraw until something new comes along!

P.S.

But what really makes me "angry":

For 2 years, users have been asking for help in this thread - usually OTHER users help them, NOT the mod authors - they are "conspicuous" by their absence

I myself haven't installed the "mod" for 2 years - but I'm still trying to help... so I also have the right to write down my opinion here!

Tldr: No it's not dead, if it ever will be I will announce it here.

Long Answer: As I stated previously and yes it was a couple of months ago no the mod is not dead, we already put too much effort into the next update to just let it die. That being said progress is very slow for a multitude of reasons all of which are private. We are still working on the Mod and eventually, a new update will come, if by the time that happens no one will be here to play it then it will be incredibly unfortunate but I can't change it. I am still keeping a promise I made to myself and that is if it ever comes to a point where I am no longer working on the Mod or even playing Skyrim for a substantial amount of time I will set the Mod as abandoned and release everything I have for it so someone else can take it over if they so wish.

However as it stands I still pretty regularly play Skyrim and work on the mod two, or three times per week too. The reason I am not really posting on LL is that if I don't have much news to share posting that would be pretty pointless.
Since there are still some people who are patiently waiting I want to at least tell you about the new stuff that is coming with the next update.
Quests:

  • Continuation of the Inspector Quest with several different endings.
  • Continuation of the Plaything Path with several different endings. (The one where you end up in a suspended hogtie in a set of Golden restraints)
  • The Initial Quest has been reworked it should still play the same as it did just now with much less jank

Locations:
As teased before we expanded the facility with two new Levels and a Main Elevator Hub that connects them. To complement this the Tour Quest has also been reworked ever so slightly, although the new levels won't be shown during the tour for the privacy of our Patients. ;)

Framework thingies:
Less interesting to players I worked on some background stuff to speed up quest development in the future, I also shortly after starting work on the new update started work on an "Animation Framework" to support unlooped Paired animations some of those animated Scenes will be in the next update too.

So that's most of the major things coming with the next version. I probably forgot some stuff cause... well it's been a while but yeah.

If you take nothing else away from this post please know that if the mod is dead I will announce it, and as of right now.

IT IS NOT

Okay, we're just waiting and we'll be as long as we need to (Like Thanos in Aven 4)

Probably not my place to say so, yet I will anyway. But while it's cool and all that you're trying to help people out. The mod author isn't obliged to help people. They create the mod in their own free time, they don't get paid for it, so they don't need to justify themselves to us.

by the way, while you can't pin it maybe, I think you can link your own post on the main mod page.

What you may not understand... this thread is set up by the author for the purpose of servicing his mod - otherwise it wouldn't even exist

So if the mod author doesn't want to provide service for his mod - why does this thread even exist?

honestly i agree with @yodelie  I have been there since last update that was published and you have been so defensive most of the time. While i get that you are eager to see the mod being update this is not a way to talk as I don't feel it encourage the mod author at all. Since it very much started as a passion project for the game the insistent nagging of people probably does not help as it most likely does feel more and more like a work. At this point you want less and less to come back to it since its has become work.

The thread is here as a way to help people who discover the mod and has encounter problem or who like me when I first discover the mod couldn't figure out the switch puzzle. This thread is first and most like any other thread for issue. Yes it's for update too but let's not forget his other purpose.
