Hey guys anyone knows about how to get Ooze in different stages? So far I can only get 2 Ooze armor (if that's the right name) in item cheat and pick it up, but there's no stages, just fullset. I just built differnt stages into different bodyshape in BS to make it more like a "Corruption Process".

If I remember correctly, at the moment only the Full Ooze outfit is currently playable in game. Don't think we made any wearable versions of the different stages yet.

First playthrough of this excellent mod!

A few suggestions:

A little food and drink scattered about, for those of us with needs mods.

Spoiler

At the beginning, one deals with the receptionist, then goes to a dwarven chest (that's what it looks like) in a changing room.  If PC has a DD device on at this point (thank you, inconveniently-timed Devious Devices Helpers...), the chest gives a warning and everything stops, and never restarts.  I am not sure if there was an escape from the mod possible at this point; I think there wasn't, but I'm not entirely sure (as my memory for video-game events is extremely poor - need more RAM, obviously...)

Suggest a 'doorbell' or wall-mounted button to 'try again', after removing your DD device(s).  (if you can...)

Maybe the chest says "Remove all DD devices, then press the button to tell the guard you're ready" in the dialog, and the quest step triggers off the button instead of the chest.

Spoiler

The 2nd book for the Accident wasn't clearly written.  The guy who wrote the book may have been a great explorer and Dwemer expert, but he wasn't a great author, and probably needed his secretary to edit his papers before he submitted them for University publication ?.  In particular, the 'left' buttons mentioned had two choices which weren't obvious.

Suggest visually differentiating the two consoles; or rewriting the book instructions - possibly "Main Console" and "Chamber Access Control Consoles (Port-Side Auxiliary Consoles)" which sounds academically pompous enough.

Spoiler

During the Accident, the PC lights a fire under a boiler-looking thing and then needs to look up and a bit right to activate a valve.  I didn't see the valve until after two playthroughs of the video (and quite a bit of in-game running around looking for SOMETHING ANYTHING to activate...)

Suggest either mounting the valve lower or making a better light up there.  If you want to keep it 'hard', add several valves in that area and only the one works.  It's impossible to balance a puzzle between too-easy and too-hard, I know...

Spoiler

When being transported through the Facility in the cage during the Accident, the PC ends up dropped into a well.  There's no OBVIOUS way out of the well, and 3/4 of the well is not climbable ( a small segment is).  Then (too quickly) a thing of bars covers the top of the well, and the room mostly-fills with liquid. If you don't get out of the well quickly enough, you drown.  At least, I did once.

Suggest either stairs or ramp out of the well, no thing of bars at all (IMO easiest), or waiting to fill the room until the player is out of the well.

2nd run (save point was just before the gas):

Okay, being rude to Elewyn had... unexpected consequences!?

Spoiler

Then I got stuck in a cage, got one bit of nasty speech from Elewyn (it was great from a player POV but not so nice for the character...), an end-of-what-we've-written game message, and then... I'm slowly starving and dehydrating to death in a cage I can't seem to get out of, while Elewyn stands and watches me.  Not fun.

And I can't load a save, so I have to quit the game and re-run it, which takes several minutes. Even less fun.

I could have sworn I implemented it so that the player can still do the Quest even if that happens. Will check it again. ?

As you said it's incredibly hard to balance these things, and had reports from both sides people telling me that they did not have too much trouble and people who had a lot of trouble. Will discuss your suggestions for the manual with Racoonity, as for the other suggestion I am guessing you are using a mod that Changes lighting. Can't really account for that I am afraid, but placing a small light should be no problem.

Well - 112 pages is really not much - other mods have 300-500 pages and yes - it takes a while - but I, for example, take the time for it

because by reading these posts about 90% of my questions are answered.

---

No - the gradual "putting on" of the slime suit ... ie the stages as they gradually cover the body (body slide preview) ... has not been implemented for a long time - I had never had that in my playthroughs

..I thought that was what the mod authors intended.

no idea if that was due to the conversion to SE.

I am so glad you appreciate the feedback!  I figure I can complain to myself, but if I want the best possible mods I should be doing my meager best to help improve them.

Also, no one can think of everything, so I throw out suggestions when I think of them, hoping that they'll spark something.

Sometimes you can brilliantly create 95% of something but your brain just skips over that last 5% ... and then, maybe sometime later you look at the thing and that last 5% falls into place and you go "Well DUH! Why didn't I DO that?! It['s so OBVIOUS!"  Or is that just me and my creative things? ?  Anyway, was hoping to trigger that last 5%.  ?

I don't have anything that changes lighting as far as I know; and I could see the darned thing when I LOOKED, but an extra light might make it more visible or noticeable.

BY THE WAY, thank you for making the puzzle area physically compact, so at least I didn't have to run for a minute (or *rolls eyes* go through loading screens) in each direction to try something or look for things.

Again, nothing I know of is changing my behavior in water.  I only got trapped and drowned the one time (out of four or five at this point...) but then again, after the first drowning I got "right enthusiastic about getting outta the pool".

I, uh, I didn't try struggling; I didn't know it was an option.  *embarrassed*  I'ma blame the Thalmor for that.... or the Stormcloaks...

Also, I found a typo - when talking to Elewyn at the end there, "therapy" is misspelled "theraphy".

If you can tell me how, I'd be happy to run through and proofread/correct the English text, as I have at least 80 Skill in proofreading.  ?

Another suggestion: at least until the mod is 'finished', when the end-of-what-we've-written game-message pops up, make the staircase outside re-activate, so people can leave without having to TCL or fly.  Not everyone has wings like me ya know! ?  I console-unlocked the door to the receptionist and hit the button there, but it didn't do that last level of stairs.

Hi, quoting is acting weird today, so I'll answer like this. ?

A little food and drink scattered about, for those of us with needs mods.

I use needs too, so no prob, meals will be served and will be available at a possible "shop". We'd rather avoid to place food in random places, because we prefer having static items as decorations, rather than the huge physics mess Skyrim is . Also, I'd highly recommend to disable any "Death by starvation" you might have, because those WILL eventually cause issues and not just with our mod (talking from experience ?)

The DD chest-related start

Of course any mod adding random devices on the player from chests or random dialogues is going to be incompatible.

I think I figured the ooze pool issue: it might have happened because while jumping to try and get out you might have triggered the event without managing to get out of the well.
When in water, try looking up before jumping, you'll notice you'll get a bit higher ( That's how I get to Windhelm's docks without passing through town, for example ?)
Anyways yeah, some stairs could be useful there.

For all the recent hype on this mod I thought I'd give this another playthrough but this time on Skyrim VR and have to say it has worked really well. Usually there's a pain barrier to go through tweaking bits here and there with VR specific configurations but this mod just worked 'straight out the box'. Character posing working well (albeit with the furniture disappearing but that's a known issue) AI enforced walking of player working reasonably well (with or without vractions mod) and the best part I'm noticing detail I never saw before (although that maybe because I was taking in much more of the atmosphere rather than speedy playthrough).

There's only one bit that's potentially game breaking at the moment (and also probably only seeing 50% of the content)

Spoiler

The point where you have pressed the buttons to restart the boiler but a dwemner sphere is ready to take you away. The first command of come here works, but when he asks you to come along the second time, the screen goes gray and your character is floating in mid air

but this could very well be my setup since I've played through that in LE before and worked fine.

So full props to the authors of this mod. Something I thought may run into numerous challenges in VR due to the complexity of this mod works surprisingly well.

What do the pictures and their text tell me about it... they have no idea what "Bodyslide" is used for or how to use it

The outfits of this mod have to be adapted to the body of your character used by you as a player (which is ultimately also the one used by the NPC).

Now comes a central problem - which many mod newbies do NOT focus on... there are two "fundamentally" different models for these bodies -> "cbbe" and "unp"
(both systems have various further developments such as "cbbe" -> "3BA")

The most used system is -> "cbbe" (around 90%)
However, our mod authors used the less common "unp" system for their mod.

So if, as a player, you let your main character run around with "cbbe" and also installed (and adjusted!!) the appropriate armor and clothing mods for it... you will fail with this mod... because it requires - > "unp"

Yes - somewhere in the depths of this thread you can find conversions of the rubber clothes on "cbbe" - a user made them for himself and made them available to us other users.
I used it myself... and apart from 1-2 small problems it works.

But they're still a long way from that... they still have a lot... a lot to learn.
But it's worth it - believe me... that's not wasting your lifetime... even if it can be frustrating at times... there's already help here in the forum... but nobody wants a beginner every single one Step to explain to the last detail!

I made a topic on how I install mods for my VR loadout. It seems to have some trouble wwith certain SexLab animations sometimes; but, as I recall, if you install that, the Ruber Facility requirements and Rubber Facility itself, it should work:

But they're still a long way from that... they still have a lot... a lot to learn.
But it's worth it - believe me... that's not wasting your lifetime... even if it can be frustrating at times... there's already help here in the forum... but nobody wants a beginner every single one Step to explain to the last detail!

Those cbbe conversions are only for SE so those of us who are on LE doesnt benefit much from it.

We either have to abandon CBBE or move to SE.

Personally none of those options are worth it for one mod but thats just me.

Though i couldnt get the gate open anyway so i cant play this mod regardless wich is a shame cause it looks great.

What stage of development is this mod in now? I've just been waiting for a new version for a couple of years and nothing

It has been out 2 years ago and yes update are slow, but yet they are there. You can see that both Prime66 and Racoonity are very active in the thread troubleshooting the mod and taking sugestion in. Now Prime66 did mention having a very slow computer which doesn't help and sadly there nothing we can do about it. Either way I know that when it come out it will be greatly apreciated :)

Yup,  CBBE SE body mesh ≠ CBBE LE body mesh

As for the work involved in converting: a lot of the suits used are from other sources and may have working or good enough CBBE LE conversions. That helps a lot. The rest is just a bit tedious to do.

Getting skintight transparent suits to not clip, without basing it directly on the target body - ie. grabbing the body mesh, scaling it up a bit and transforming the textures and normal maps - is painful at best.

If/when there's a new release for this mod, without "official" cbbe SE conversions included, I'll swing by and take a stab at it.

If anyone feels like fooling around for LE, one of the most useful guides i used specific to SE, that may likely at least partially applicable to LE was this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24153?tab=description (depending on what release of bodyslide and outfit studio you use) there's probably a lot more LE specific guides out there probably marked as outdated - that are totally useful for LE.

(As much as I couldn't be arsed to install blender to fuck about with the meshes, I can't be arsed to setup LE and figure out what combination of abandoned mods to use to get it looking and running nice.)

DD already have enough unique CBBE catsuits for every single female NPC in this mod twice over, i dont really feel like playing around with it adding one more only used by this mod.

But i wonder if its possible to mod the mod and replace the NPC body with CBBE and just add one of the DD catsuits onto them...

i might look into it... if only i could get the mod to run in the first place. That guard wont spawn the door so im stuck regardless.
