FWIW , the guard and prisoner suits are literally DD suits with texture swaps. (Also the straightjacket combos are DD meshes bashed together in outfit studio)

 

DD has cbbe conversions for legendary edition.

Well, the base model should still be the same (I'm talking about vertices positions) because one of the 2 versions, even in DD, should still be a conversion of the other.
But yeah, using sliders to convert isn't exactly heart surgery, so another good option would be trying to remake it using assets from DD.
If I remember correctly, I didn't edit much, I think I just removed the straitjacket bra and added a partially cut UUNP body, so the same could be done using the CBBE version and a partially cut CBBE body. ?

Yup, that seemed to be the case. Remaking these is the way to go.

I didn't ask or check which way/how the DD conversions were made for cbbe, but you'd end up with similar quality by pilfering the bodyslide files for cbbe le and working them.

 

As long as you keep your workflow in order i.e. the order in which you apply your conversion steps.

is used when you "build bodyslides" to produce meshes into /meshes - once you wrap your head around this, it is really not complicated. You'd take the bodyslide files from DD, check and alter the naming and texture paths, where appropriate - because rubber facility uses separate output nif files. And in the case of the straightjacket combo you can edit the meshes in outfit studio, delete the unwanted parts and unecessary vertices, combine the outfits and bob's your uncle.

 

There's finesse like removing unneeded sliders that I didn't bother with - but might do next time.

Well - at some point the two mod authors would have to decide whether they (from my point of view) want to work on two important construction sites at the same time - or decide to discontinue one of them ... and rely completely on the "equipment" of DD 5.2 - because there important things are ready.


Yes - there would be a complete change in visuals - but it allows players to customize it to match their in-game avatar with no issues.

Honestly...if I can play an interesting and WORKING quest line...I don't give a damn about visual Glimmerics.

(yes - I know - you already have the optics in the form of NPC avatars ... their clothing ... and the premises - but in fact only a small rudiment of a story)


and you could focus on the (long overdue) further design of the quests.


But that's just my suggestion...I myself have stopped any "expectations" of progress.

(and I'm writing this as someone who tested the mod quite extensively and reported about it!)

Texture sets are a thing. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Using_Texture_sets_for_Skyrim

 

I haven't done a deep dive into this, because I haven't finished a mod to save my life - but if the only change needed is texture sets, skyrim supports it.

The author (and her helpers) of Laura's Bondage Shop focused on just that... creating a quest mod using an already existing framework.


Considering how there is practically no progress here... with existing building and clothing sets... ***

Don't misunderstand me, I was kinda agreeing with you, merely pointing out that indeed, if there was no other reason to duplicate the meshes than for visuals - there are solutions for that. I quoted you merely since you broached the subject.

 

Since then you'd have the master cbbe conversions done in the framework, no need to duplicate the effort.

 

I have no idea why certain solutions were opted for, there may be very good reasons for all I know.

Can Some one Tell me how i get to the Facility?

i have talked with the person outside of Markarth, told me to go away.

Then i went inside of Markarth and into Silver-Blood Inn and talked with the inn keeper.

He then tells me about a tower, been checking every door and inside the guard tower up ahead and can't seem to find where to go from there.

I'm lost where i should be heading next to get to the facility, some help would be appreciated, been looking for some hours already with out luck.

Your previous messages of the same nature have been ignored because those were towards us authors, and we don't really give any weight to these kinds of comments, but it's different if such messages are against people asking for help in a forum that is specifically called "GET SUPPORT".

 

If your attitude persists, I'm afraid we will be forced to contact moderators.

Thank you Kindly, i did manage to figure it out for that information.

 I also missing files cause the delta patch removed alot of things making it so i couldnt get to that part.

I didnt do it manual so the option of me getting in there didn't work at all, so after re-downloading the main mod once more and patch it separately it worked as intented.

Thank you very kindly for the help Serah i appreciate that, that was all i needed just a small help with direction.

I have a weird problem. I'm using the SE version of the mod, and every time I sign the visitor form, nothing further happens. It doesn't matter if I'm asking for a job, or claim to be the inspector. I sign the form, and that's the end. I can't talk to the receptionist any more and she just sits there and stares at me. The quest RR_IQ_TheFacility is at stage 150.

 

What exactly am I doing wrong?

Just played through most of the mod (Couldnt figure out how to get in by lying about being the inspector) 

 

Overall the mod seems amazing, hopefully new content is coming soon but I completely understand these things take time. Keep up the great work

I had that problem in the VR version until the patch was released. My resolutions were either to talk to the attendant again, shoot her with magic, walk toward the jail door, or try interacting things on the desk. It can also take a minute or so for the trigger script to run after you sign the visitor log if your mod list is script heavy.

Thanks. Unfortunately, none of that seemed to help. I even started a new game to make sure. But whatever I do, the game ends after I sign the visitor form. ?

One last thing to try is using the console to noclip into the first waiting cell. Sometimes, it'll kick off the dialogs.

Mmh, idk about SE, but do you have Fuz Roh Doh installed?

What happens if:

You annoy the guard and get forced into the facility, does it proceed any differently?

 

Do your other story/quest mods work fine? (like LBS)

Hi there, apologies for responding so late to this. 
The entire intro quest in the currently released version was a really bad mess, it worked but as you experinced not always very well for some people. 
And while I can't guarantee that the next version will work for everyone due to varing factors (Conflicting Mods, slower hardware etc.) I can say that the next version has had pretty much all quests cleaned up in the backend and they should now work much more relaiably. At least that's the hope. Also if Bethesda does not release another dumb update for SE right around the time I want to release the next version of the Mod you can also expect much much better SE support. 

 

To fix your issue I can give you some commands that you could try: 

 

setStage RR_IQ_TheFacility 150  
Try to set your stage to 150 again, normally this get's triggered by the quil but try it maybe the attached script fragment did not fire properly. Yeah try this even if your stage is already 150 ;) 

 

If that did not do the trick try:
setStage RR_IQ_TheFacility 155
Exit the console and see if the Guard now talks to you normally this stage triggers the Guard to Forcegreet you. 

 

If that too did not work try: 
setStage RR_IQ_TheFacility 160 
This get's triggered after the Forcegreet with the Guard. It should trigger another scene to play. Walk towards the door of the Security check and see what happens. 

 

Note this only works if you try to enter as a Visitor the Inspector has another set of Stages entirely but considering that there is no content for the Inspector path that should not be too big a dealbreaker I hope. 


If all that did not fix your issue then I am very sorry but I am not able to help anymore than that. So really hoping that that works ?

No problem. I'm grateful you're responding at all.

 

Setting stage 155 did the trick, but the quest immediately got stuck again in the dressing chamber. The gate didn't close behind me, and after changing into the visitor suit, nothing more happened.

 

I made numerous attempts, and one time (but only that once) the gate closed behind me after I went through (which is how I know it was supposed to do that all along), and then I got stuck.

 

I tried increasing the stage numbers to help things along, and one time someone (who I assumed to be the warden) showed up and talked to me, but then it got stuck again afterwards. But the warden never showed up again after that.

 

It's almost as if most of the time, whatever is supposed to move the quest along doesn't work properly. Every now and again I get lucky and then I get one or two stages further before it locks up again. Might be some dumb mod conflict but which of my 90 active mods is at fault? Who knows?

 

I guess I'll just have to put my hopes into the next version. Glad to know you're still working on it.
