xLLUser Posted July 23 Posted July 23 I don't believe this is an event already so sorry if it is, but I thought it'd be nice to have a one off event where at high submission Mistress gives Lola a new custom collar as a reward. Since there's already functionality for adding your own custom collar mesh, the event could just switch to that one. That would mean players would have to manually install a mesh for the event to really work but maybe the toggle for the event could mention that so you don't get people asking why the collar doesn't change. You could just change the setting and rp this but it would be nice to have it be a proper event with a conversation to go along with it. It also has a fair bit of overlap with the collar tag but you could probably differentiate them enough through framing in the dialogue. No idea how easy this would be to implement or if you'd even want to but I really like whenever you get to have a unique conversation/interaction with Mistress and thought this could be another fun one. Either way this mod is great and it's really a feat how easy it is to fit into whatever kind of playthrough you're doing so thanks for all the hard work!

As you observed, there is a lot of overlap with the existing event. This would be related to the same item, and it would occur around the same time for the same reason. I generally prefer to put development time into new features or repeatable events. 7 hours ago, xLLUser said: Either way this mod is great and it's really a feat how easy it is to fit into whatever kind of playthrough you're doing so thanks for all the hard work! NightmareMoose Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Having a strange issue where the Woof event just won't start. Even if it's the only event that's not set to 0 in the cooldowns. I'll only ever get the small generic events like dancing. All of the other events work fine when I have them set...it's only Woof that won't work. Yes, I'm above 50 score and I was not wearing other DDs or gags besides the collar.

If you're on an older version, there was a fix for not starting added in 2.1.15. The event is available in hold capitals when score is above 50, outdoors or in castles, between 0800 and 1800. Open city mods might affect the location detection.

However I think I fixed it...I forced DHLP to suspend, and I turned Pony Express back on which seemed to allow it to start (Though the later of those might've been pure coincidence)

This mod won't start events while DHLP-Suspend is active. I'm glad it started working for you. Trot trot!

Not gamebreaking, but a bit annoying, because we're still far off the city. I discovered that all those cell checks that I've been adding don't work reliably. The conditions are present to exclude that spot and other incorrectly-marked "city" cells, but sometimes it just doesn't work. So, I'm replacing that system with a new one. It seems to be very dependable, and it's allowed me to tighten the valid areas for some of these quests. I'm still testing, but here's what I have planned for the next update: Triggering of prostitution events and Run Lola Run excludes more areas outside Whiterun and Solitude that are technically within the city limits. For Whiterun, prostitution events will only start inside the walls, and ale fetching must be within the walls or near Honningbrew Meadery. For Solitude, prostitution and ale fetching are excluded from the false city areas south of Solitude (including that spot on the road south of the shrine of Meridia), and the range at which they can start near the city is roughly halved. This change replaces the previous system of excluding cells that are incorrectly marked as being in a city, because that turned out to be unreliable. Near Solitude, those events could trigger at the carriage and the large watchtower. With this change, you have to proceed up the road toward the city and pass through the gated archway past the Khajiit caravan location. If you've gone that far, you're definitely heading into the city. The area outside the east gate near the water will still be valid for these events. 2
CaptainJ03 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 (edited) Came across another... "not working as expected" thingy. Submission score and not willing to do something, I have 100 growth rate and 40 decrease rate set in the MCM. Mistress ordered Lola to dance, said "nah, don't feel like dancing" and the score went from 97.85 to 97.010 which is okay. I then tabbed out of the dialogue - sometimes she doesn't care and just gives me the same task when I next talk to her with the line "do as I told you" but this time she took that as "never, fuck you" and the submission score went down to 93.010, 89.010 and after the whipping another minus two to 87.010 Yes, with the last version this would've gone up to 102 or so, so going down is the right direction, but three score losses in a row for once saying "fuck you" seems a bit harsh. Spoiler Edit: forgot the spoiler for the pic Edited July 27 by CaptainJ03
Hex Bolt Posted July 27 Author Posted July 27 (edited) 2 hours ago, CaptainJ03 said: Came across another... "not working as expected" thingy. The mod saw that as your refusing three times, so 3 score reductions plus the extra for the whipping. I see what happened. I can fix it. You shouldn't be able to tab out of the conversation. That's what's causing problems here. The mod originally had the owner forcegreet you until the event ended, which effectively kept players from tabbing out. You could do it, but the owner would immediately resume the dialog. I changed that approach across the entire mod to stop forcegreetings as soon as possible. Players would finish a task, or another mod would interrupt dialog, and the forcegreeting would sometimes still be active. It left too many opportunities for that to go wrong, especially with more complex events that could end in various ways. Edit: For once, it was a very easy fix. Done for the next update. Tabbing out will count as one refusal and resume the conversation. Edited July 27 by Hex Bolt

Did this problem ever occur again? My thinking was that it was fast clicking through the owner's responses, and I haven't been able to get it to not work. If you haven't found another book yet, you can easily cheat one to yourself. Spoiler The book names all begin with "Bondage Adventure".

Hex Bolt Posted July 28 Author Posted July 28 (edited) 11 hours ago, CaptainJ03 said: ...three score losses in a row for once saying "fuck you" seems a bit harsh. Just clarifying the fix, you will have to refuse (or tab out) 3 separate times to receive this level of score loss, the third refusal being the "fuck you" to your owner. In the original mod, this level of defiance caused the owner to kill you, so the score loss is intentionally severe. This works much better now with the fix. I found the same problem with the palace scene, and I fixed that one too. The dirty details: Spoiler Skyrim has its quirks; I just had to learn this one today. Tabbing out triggers the walk away topic (if one is present). The quirk is that walk away is to be taken literally. It must be an exit ("goodbye") topic. Silly me, I wanted to catch the walk away and smoothly redirect the conversation flow to where it should go. That was failing because the game wants that topic to terminate conversation. So, although it looks seamless to the player, each time you tab out, the conversation ends and the owner starts it again with a force greeting. Quest variables tell the dialog where to pick up after the forcegreeting. This seems clunky, and there's the risk that another mod might interrupt the scene unless you use a forced start (which I do here). In the early days, the mod had problems with forcegreetings sometimes not ending, so I carefully checked every quest and made sure the forcegreeting ends when conversation starts. I'm preserving that, so now the scenes have to do this dance where a forcegreeting starts the conversation, the first line of dialog ends the forcegreeting, tabbing out restarts the forcegreeting and exits, then the forcegreeting starts the conversation again. This process repeats for each tabbing out refusal. The way I wanted to do it is much cleaner, but the game doesn't support it. Now I know. For mod authors, this guide to conversations has some useful insights. Edited July 28 by Hex Bolt 1
Hex Bolt Posted July 28 Author Posted July 28 I skimmed through the other quests, and they seem to handle tabbing out okay. Pony express needed some work. I have that mostly handling tabbing out, though you can still mess yourself up if you do it halfway through the process of equipping gear. However, tabbing out works fine at the start, and after all the pony gear is equipped, you can even tab out to jump to the end of the talk if you're impatient, though you'll lose the butt slap at the end.

The difference to the first time was, that this was a book with a real story (that danger of saying yes, very nice) and we were at home. The first time was somewhere on the road, and "oh by the way, I've been carrying this book around for a while, maybe you like it" circumstances. Role-playing wise I wasn't really surprised that Mistress didn't react positively.

The books all have the same script, regardless of whether they have a story, only differing in the value of a variable that indicates which book. It should work anywhere, and it won't matter whether you've read it first or not. Maybe that one time was a fluke. You might try giving it to her again. There's no penalty for trying. 31 minutes ago, CaptainJ03 said: danger of saying yes, very nice Thank you. Leash play is fun. CaptainJ03 Posted Wednesday at 06:25 AM Posted Wednesday at 06:25 AM Came across a small inconsistency: I have "owner slips away from combat" enabled - but she just slips away when hher health gets low, even when not in combat. Had that with the falling rocks trap in Robber's Gorge. There weren't any bandits around, as we cleared that location a few days ago, but as you cannot get rid of the rocks, she stumbled over one and vanished. Didn't reappear until I reached my SLUTS destination and equipped a weapon.

If you ever need for your owner to return sooner, the MCM button to move the owner to you should end the "slipping away". Edited Wednesday at 06:46 AM by Hex Bolt 1

This one reminds me of the leashing done with the old Paradise Halls. It's not like you have the chains, as in the concept art, instead you have a laser light that connects the people. Hopefully, someone will find a better way - but I am not optimistic (although I would LOVE to see it work). 1

Didn't reappear until I reached my SLUTS destination and equipped a weapon. In addition to checking if the owner is in combat when hit, I've added testing for pulling a SLUTS cart. (You must be close to the cart and running; this works for Redux and Resume.) Since your hands are locked away, pulling a cart will be treated as being armed or having a spell equipped for determining whether it is safe for the owner to return. Losing to bandits will be more common than having the owner disappear due to trap damage, so this new check should ensure that the owner will return to escort you when you tether back to the cart after bandits have had their way with you. 1
blind1 Posted Friday at 03:59 PM Posted Friday at 03:59 PM (edited) I created a file that adds a leash to the Runic Collar. I took the mesh from Invicta Couture Lingerie.
