Maybe with the option to have the player actually control those events (give this particular book to master in order to have this scenario happening), so that it respects the mod intentions to not interrupt the gameplay too much

It could be frustrating though if you need a book for that and the fickleness of chance causes it not to appear.  I have an item on the ideas list for bondage time.  It's similar to a feature in an older mod.  Possibly, giving the owner x number of books could enable your ability to ask for this.

The initial release of the book collection will probably just be the books and the ability to give them to your owner.  I'd like to get that published to get feedback on how well it works before adding features.  It will track which books are given, so new features should work in ongoing games.

It is intended.  You only gain the spanking buff if the spanker's relationship rank is Friend or better.  Anyone less than a friend doesn't do a good job.  With regard to game balance, since there's no cooldown, it would be an automatic buff whenever you like if there are no conditions.  So, if you've befriended a guard, that one can give you the buff.  It's worked this way since September 2022.  I have a release note for around that time, "Fixed guard spanking not starting".

 

I can add a chance for the relationship rank to increase to Friend when you ask a guard for a spanking.  After a while, he might start to enjoy your visits.  Another route that's available now is to let the guard have you during the Sample the Merchandise event.  The chance of making a friend increases with your enthusiasm, and it's guaranteed if the guard has never been your client before.

 

The animation has to have the "Blowjob" tag to be counted as such.  Typically, those animations do have that tag.  It's needed to distinguish it from other oral sex acts.  I'm pretty sure I saw this work recently.  I use Radiant Prostitution, but that shouldn't matter.  The script just checks animation tags.

Good to know I suppose I'll prioritize guards for that quest going forward. Is this explained anywhere? I was unaware of this until you mentioned it.

 

I'll pay attention to the tags next time around, might be an issue with those though I never had this work for me and I'd assume that at least some of the animations are tagged correctly. Either way I'll let you know if I find out the reason for the issue.
