[mod] Carnalitas - Unified Sex Mod Framework for CK3

Just a quick update, waiting to see if others have the same issue, but following the 1.8 update patch I'm crashing to desktop within 1-2 minutes in game with Carnalitas.  Not seeing anything in error logs, not very familiar with crash logs yet, so don't have any pointers for what might be the issue.

1.8 broke mod, The game crashes after 3 in-game days.

Crashes the Game after the latest 1.8 update. Used steams new rollback feature to get it going again. Anyone having the same problem should check it out

I rolled back to the 1.7 version to make Carnalitas work but it doesn't.

 

I've unzip it, placed it on the Paradox/CK3/mod folder and even the launcher recognises it. Once I am in the game, Carnalita's settings in the rule settings won't appear.

Apart of it, I've tried running Carnal Court and it doesn't work as well, I don't know what exactly I am doing wrong.

 

Please, help someone.

Yea, same here, the game crashed after 3 to 5 days, and it doesnt work eather with the previous vertions 1.7.2

Is this now a dead mod?  On their Github the update isn't listed as an issue and nothing has been worked on in months.

I put only Carnalitis mod in the playlist and reset all game rules to default and played about 60 years without a crash. Without default game rules game crashed on day 1, as soon as I hit play.

The fix patch I put up stops the immediate crash, which is caused by code using the function "compare_value" which Paradox removed in 1.8.  I suspect using the default rules prevents the crash because the code only gets used for lactation, so unless Carnalitas scenes are being used it doesn't get run.

Cheri apparently has been on a hiatus since last year due to some personal issues (https://subscribestar.adult/cherisong)

 

Mod kept getting updated for the major releases but has definitely been on the backburner for a while now.  Hopefully it gets updated to working again but between steam workshop updating mods automatically (and clashing with eachother) as well as the core game, and then this mod lagging behind for reasons stated above I'm sadly not playing as much anymore

backup your entire steam mods folder whenever you're done setting up a mod list. use that backup as local mods if/when a patch comes out

Hindsight is 20/20?.

 

Right now I just sit in wait, hoping this is patched to run again on the most recent patch, for right now I can't even load in without a crash.

I have installed the mod and I can see some of the new features and I have turned on the game rules requirements but I can't see things like new character interactions with spouses or prisoners, I don't know if I did something wrong or if I am simply blind

 

I do see things like the moonlighting as a prostitute decisions

Right clicking on your spouse, should add "Make Love" to one of the personal interaction options (usually hidden under "X more" if it doesn't fit).  This is a generic sex scene that other mods build off of.

 

For prisoners it's similar under one of the prison interaction options, but it is titled Rape.

I have all mods except this disabled and it crashes the second I unpause after loading. I've tried both with a save and a new game and it's the same. Turn it off and Ck3 runs fine, same for if I use the vampire mod.

Look for the GUK_Fix_Carn patch I uploaded for 1.8, it should stop it crashing.

i downloaded your GUK-Fix-Carn but now my game is crashing in loading screen, i have unzip the file and put it in mod section of my CK3 and enabled in the playset and still crashing

Sounds like you have a bigger issue than Carnalitas then.  Would recommend checking your error log and clearing your launcher's cache as it sounds like there's other mods that aren't as disabled as the launcher thinks they are.  Either that or the launcher is failing to find the mods properly, which can also be spotted in the error log.

Hi, I just downloaded this mod and others like it, and cannot get a single one of them to work.  I put them in the mod directory, edited the mod to point to the filepath where the mod is installed, created a new playset and installed all the mods in the playset in the correct install order.  They all show as installed and green.  Run the game and start a new game, but there is no trace of any mods anywhere in the game.  The game rules are all vanilla.  I even disabled all mods except Carnalitas. What am I doing wrong?  Any help is appreciated.

 Quite possibly the game launcher is failing to find the mod folders, worth checking your error log to see if this is the case.

Can you make a standalone slave window button? I think this will make those large mods that modify the character relationship interface no longer conflict with it

Look for the GUK_Fix_Carn patch I uploaded for 1.8, it should stop it crashing.
