I believe something broke on my save file, pls send help

 

at some point i received a letter from Vex saying i killed a guild member, which I did not. i think this is falsely triggered as I was also doing dark brotherhood quest, and it seems to be a vanilla bug. 

 

the problem being, after the reparation scene in the cistern, the quest seems pops back every time a sex scene triggered by confabulation ends.

so for example if I ask Aela for a party, i get Vex and everyone else waiting for my ass at the cistern. if I complete that once more, and ask Farkas for some rough sex, boom, Vex is calling me back again in the headquarter.

 

I saw several people talking about this same bug earlier, but none seem to have a solution for it. I tried using the fix option in MCM, but thats only temporarily. I also tried  using a save cleaner but to no avail. console command like stopquest or setstage also dosent fix the problem.

 

I will try to start a new game tonight and test the "reparation" quest on that.

oh and I am also having some trouble with the harbinger orgy party

 

everyone gathers in the main hall, undress and chat properly, but right in the middle of their conversation, Njada teleports out of the room and comes back later but fully clothes( i suspect it might be a AI conflict from something like AI Overhaul), and then only the scene between PC and Farkas starts, every one else just stands there looking at eachother.

 

I dont know how to fix this either....

So the problem with this bug and trying to replicate and fix it is that it's almost impossible on my end to know what is causing it to happen. I'll go ahead and explain how the Reparations scene works:

 

This mod has no control or alteration on how the Reparations quest actually starts. If it is starting normally or through a bug, is outside the control of this mod. After the Reparations quest starts, when you go to talk to Vex she will have some dialogue (slightly different based on if your Guild Master or not) if you are the Guild's CumDump. The first time you go through the Reparations quest, the sex part isn't started until the second dialogue choice with Vex ("Pay? How?"). After that, the sex part will start with the dialogue "I'm prepared to make reparations". It's at this point that this mod's SC_TG_Reparations quest is started. When the quest starts, the scene begins and everyone should move to the cistern. 

 

Now that I've said all that, the key point I wanted to make here is that the only time the quest with the scene is actually ever started is when those two dialogue choices are made and the script fragments attached run. So unless you choose those dialogue options, there should realistically be no way that the quest and scene should start.

 

If you can repeat this bug, can you tell me what quest objective pops up, if any, and run "sqv SC_TG_Reparations" in the console and let me know what stage it is at?

 

If this continues to be an issue for people, I might just have to remove this from the mod.

As you and others might have noticed, having large, multistage orgies with NPC x NPC sex can be problematic at best. Heck, even just having repeating sex is an issue, as seen with the problems some people have with Sibbi's quest.

 

A part of this is out of my control. If your game isn't able to handle the scripts being fired off, then you'll run into problems with actors just standing around, because the function call that was made to have them have sex, or the SexLab thread for the sex part either failed or got hanged up in Papyrus.

 

As a bit of information to everyone who might come across this issue, with any sex scene, this mod handles repeating sex scenes as follows:

 

A script either attached to the dialogue or the scene runs a function which builds the thread for SexLab to run the sex part. In orgy scenes, a function call is made for each sex action. A hook is created when creating the thread, which will wait for the sex animation to end and then either update a global variable or a quest stage. The scenes have phases with conditions that wait for those global variable or quest stages to update before moving to the next scene. There may also be a check to see if the actors are still in the SexLab animating faction, to prevent the next phase from starting in case some NPCs are still having sex.

 

If the scene isn't moving on, and actors are standing around, it means either two things: the global or quest stage didn't get updated because the hook failed due to script lag/hangups or not all the actors were having sex at the start to move to the next phase which waits for everyone to be done with sex. If I don't have the global/quest stage/animating faction checks in place, the scene would not pause while sex is happening and then it just breaks.

 

The Companion Party scenes are done by starting the sex through the dialogue script fragments. The next phase doesn't move on until everyone is in the SexLab animating faction, i.e. they're all having sex. Then the next phase waits for everyone to be done with sex before the next dialogue/sex happens. This is why I suggest using Matchmaker to force all the NPCs to have sex, which should move the scene to the next phase. If they're all standing around, then the only place for the scene to hang up is when everyone should be having sex. And this means everyone, all the NPCs in the orgy should be having sex with someone to move the scene along, including your partner. It doesn't have to be Matchmaker, just any mod to get all of them having sex at the same time.

So the College has been a bit of a nightmare to work with. Like most vanilla questlines, it is very short with little space to add much in the way of content. This is probably my third attempt at messing with the questline, but it ended up being a buggy mess with terrible compatibility with how much I changed up the vanilla quests. So I'm going to be scrapping most of it. This means no release probably for this month.

 

Something I'm trying to avoid is just having a situation where you just talk to all the NPCs, have sex and that's it. I feel like the Companions ended up a bit like this, and I want to avoid doing that again. More quest stuff like Maven's quests are what I want to aim for. Still go to NPC and have sex, but with a bit of variation and story to go along with it.

 

I will probably end up making a questline that runs independently of the actual College quest, with some mini-quests thrown in for the teachers.

 

If there are any ideas for College related quests with a bit of sex in there, feel free to mention them. Also, please let me know what kind of College related mods you all are running, so I can keep them in mind for compatibility reasons.

About Harbinger orgie: Im using the SLEN mod and can initialize orgies through dialog , but not useable here (no dialog possible) Matchmaker (not the mass matchmaker one) cant push the scene,,,,,so hm..... Its not a disaster not being able to play this Harbinger orgie just a shame not to get the hole story

Furthermore it might be a result of a lack of information about characters and their motivations. All the quests are superficial and so it is hard to develop a quest if the player behind the character has no clue about the reasons as well.

The current version 1.7.4 seems broken for orgy companions. Small orgy with only women, Aela only acts in the first scene Ria and Njada no longer have the scene. Downloading the older version 1.7.3 works fine in all orgy scene.

Right, this makes it hard to make decent quests without having to make up my own background for the NPCs.

That's odd since there were no changes made from 1.7.3 to 1.7.4.

 

I might just rework these scenes to use global variables or quest stages to advance, this way if they do get stuck at least the user can just use a console command to move it forward.

I do want to avoid doing that, as I myself like that scene probably the most as well. I might try adding more conditions and change how the scene starts up to try and avoid this issue.

the first time I had that quest, everything went pretty well, the sex scene worked correctly (despite de fact I had no idea who the hell did I kill, could it be Mercer Frey as I was finishing that falmer eye qeust??)

 

but after that i noticed some oddities, right after having finished the reparation quest, i went back to the ragged flaggon, and trade with that merchant who sell potion in exchange for sex, but doing so makes Vex and everyone else go back to the cistern. It also happens to the companions, after demanding sex to Aela or setting up a party and got fucked by Farkas, the "meet Vex at cistern" objective pops back up.

 

all of these falsely triggered quest only makes TG members lining up in the cistern, but they dont have dialogue showing that I actually assaulted anyone, and vex also dont have anything to say to initiate the sex scene. running "stopquest" command will make everyone go back and mind their own bisness, but the quest objective remains and changes to "talk to Vex". 

 

And if i decide to ask someone else for sex, say Rune or Viper, it will once again make every TG member lining up in the cistern and bring back the "meet Vex" objective, ending up with no actual reparation quest but only 2 misc quest obejctive pointing to Vex with no way to advance it thru dialogue

 

heres 2 screen shot of what is happening before I ask Aela and after the quest starts again. ( plz dont mind the T pose, started a new game, went back to the old setup to take the screenshot but didnt bother running Nemesis again)

 

 

I also load up a save file before I completed the reparation quest (the actual one which worked), run it again, the sex scene just works, but that bug still remains,

 

Btw the Sibbi repeating sex quest also worked for me

Okay I'll have to see about making some changes to the quest stages and the scene conditions to see if that helps. Can you also run to console command "sqv tgban" when the bug happens. This will let me know if it is the entire Reparations quest that is bugging out, or just the scene part.

Here is a hotfix for the TG Reparations quest which should prevent the NPCs from gathering in the cistern. Instead of stopping the quest from starting, as I have no idea how it is happening, this instead will end the scene and quest if TGBan is not running at all. Not really an ideal fix, as it seems like the quest will get started after each instance of sex, but at least it should immediately end the quest.

@iggypop1 Use MatchMaker. This is what I do. On stage1,3or 5(one when aela and njadia says they'll fuck) and the last stage. When They announce their partners cast MM target on them . Exemple.( Aela says he'll fuck the incebrain(farkas), immediately cast MM target on both), Just as they announce ,cast MM on the corresponding couples. you'll need to do this for the first ,5 and last stage and it works. Another thing. Your scene will always start,don't cast on yourself and your partner.

The quest stages/globals haven't been added for these yet. That will come out in the next update.

I know there is a compatibility patch, but does Solutions really add that much over this mod? Would Confab alone be a smoother dialog experience? Or do they synergize really well together?

For one Confab usually doesn't touch the parts that are already covered by Solution. For example, if you whore'd your way into Goldenglow Estate with the option from Confab, your thief would still most likely have to kill Aringoth for that optional key without Solution (his persuasion check to succeed requires high Speech, which you shouldn't have this early in the game).

 

Then there are countless encounters with alternate solutions you would miss without the mod. They are not really needed, but... all the non violent options then would be severly reduced without the mod.

What did you choose before you start? Fucking Males only?Fucking Females only?Fucking all?

I experienced that if im not choosing females only the orgie never starts, but when i do choose female only, then it stops working in stage 3.

 

So there is 5 stages?

I play as a female and choose to fuck em all. there are like 7 stages. Just need to read and pair them with the right partners. SO on the first stage I use regular matchmaking not mass matchmaker to pair farkas with aela, ria with torvar and njadia with the dark elf. Vikas and you will start without using MM. Now depends what are you playing I guess. but the concept should be the same. Use target matchmaker spell to pair the right individuals.Hope this will help or he'll find a fix cuz I don't want to see this removed.

I had this idea ever since playing College Days: Winterhold, where J'zargo or Enthir catches the player with a teacher trying to earn extra points.

• Judging from J'zargo's ambition and demeanor, he would blackmail and corrupt the player, using her to lure in and corrupt other female teachers in order rise through the ranks in the college. In the end when the player becomes the Archmage, she's just a willing slave/puppet where J'zargo's the real head of the college in the shadows thus achieving his long time goal.
• Enthir's case would be much simpler, blackmailing the player into getting involve in his black market dealings and eventually gaining enough blackmail evidence to gain complete control of her where he would pimp out the player or use her as a bargaining chip in his dealings among the populace of the college.

I have to give up on this one .....anyway im glad(sort of) im not the only one with this problem, and hope there can be a fix made for it

That quote is specifically talking about the bear hunt that this mods adds with Ria. You go with Ria to a ruined house near the Western Watchtower, where there is a bear you both can have sex with. The "avoid player beastiality" means that you can do this part without having sex with the bear, useful if your playing a male PC.

 

This mod doesn't stop you being able to become a werewolf.

Just thought of somehing that might fit College theme. How about creating a spell to summon a chest for a time? There are now a few animations with mimic and... let's just say the bastard Phinis Gestor has never warned that even inanimate objects summoned from the other side are not always passive... oh well, at least you don't need to walk all the way home after each adventure to dump the loot.

Is the Confabulation hotfix and the Confabulation Solution patches compatible with the 1.74 SE version of Confabulation?  And what about the TCYMI patch too?
