My sex scenes keep aborting since I started using the succubus spell.

I think it's because I'm using smart cast to cast heal spells on myself when I'm wounded.

Your mod thinks I'm being attacked is my guess.

 

Could you maybe add conditions that spells cast by me are exempt?

Or maybe don't count beneficial spells?

I'll have to look into that mod. Any hit event on the player will end the scene, so your guess is probably a good one.

Some context: The healing spell in question was Divine Light from Forgotten Magic Redone, with the evolution that also heals bystanders.

So if you have a rule that aborts the scene on hits on the other participants, that might be the case here, too.

Don't worry about that mod.

There are also some companions that will heal you. Those would also trigger this.

Apocalypse has a time-release healing spell that would also trigger this.

 

I looked at the script code now. You have no filtering at all.

I think you need to only trigger for detrimental spells or weapon attacks.

I'm looking for a specific mod so that I can have test cases to make sure it works. It's usually easier to test against the real thing that's causing a problem than to guess at what it's doing and try to recreate it based on the guess.

Release 15 has been posted!

 

This is mainly a bug fix release, but there is a new Dibella's Garden quest: Who Sows Discord. I have also changed it so that the Rudhiir quest is available even if you go through Restraint of Trade the way Benjen wants you to, as long as Rudhiir is still alive in your saved game.

 

I am switching to release numbers from here on, because I think some people were getting scared off by the 0 on the front of the version number, thinking that the mod was something smaller and less stable than it actually is.

Wouldn't the 1.15 version look better or 1.5?

I considered using 1.0 or 1.x of some kind, but I didn't see any big advantages to doing it that way. And this keeps the published version number and the internal version number used by the upgrade script the same.

 

I think the more important point was shaking the "beta" or even "alpha" impression that the 0.x was giving some people.

You can have them both installed at the same time. I don't especially recommend it because RP is not aware of the licensing system in this mod, but for the most part they shouldn't conflict with each other. I would turn off the NPC Scene option or whatever it is in RP that makes people approach anyone wearing tavern clothes for sex. I've seen that interact poorly with TAP if you don't have any of the optional outfit dependencies installed.

Good job with the update. Nice to see the brothels storylines getting entangled.

 

Nice details as always, with the characters having extra lines that provides more immersion. They feel alive and not generic.

 

And it's funny that when I saw the khajiit, I immediately thought "this is gonna hurt". I was glad to see the characters commenting about that. It's the details and 'lore' behind the mod that makes it really special. And I didn't notice there was actually a debuff until now, which was a nice touch.

Have you served any time in jail? I have a known issue where large time jumps in the game can throw off account updates.

 

Are creature animations enabled in SexLab? That warning for Cage Cleaning appears when you don't. That appears to be the only condition on the dialogue that triggers that message.

 

What was your scenario for Political Favor? Gisli? What do you mean when you say it "freezes"?

I am a little confused with the Kelda vol.1 book, I got it from the elf in the sleeping giant's inn but what am I doing with it? Is there a quest for it?

I do have plans to have quests come from that, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I'm having an issue where any attempted scenes fail to launch and are aborted. The mod itself is loading without issue and everything seems to be there but scenes refuse to start

That means SexLab is reporting failure back to me when I try to start the scene. You'll need to look in the console or Papyrus logs to see why it's failing.

 

Is SexLab working for you in general?

Is it possible to enable or use your mods mid-game or do they have to be a new game? Or can it even be removed mid-game? Yes it is safe. To test or compare the mods.

It should be safe to install mid game but I don't test that much so you may experience bugs that I haven't noticed. I have had reports that things might break in Windhelm if you've completed the civil war.

 

I don't support removing mid game. That's entirely at your own risk.

@ruddycray, thank you for your work, I enjoyed playing your mod. But I have a question about the Bruiant quest line.
1.5 years ago you wrote that this story is still in development:

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, that answer is still valid. Because you can't get to any of that stuff without console commands, and it isn't even mentioned by anyone right now, it hasn't been a priority for me. I haven't ruled out developing that and making it accessible, but it still needs a bit of work before I'd be happy with it, and I'm already juggling several major quest lines.

 

That doesn't absolutely mean I won't do it any time soon. Sometimes, I just get inspired to focus on something, like the succubus system, which wasn't even a planned feature. But for now it's still just an idea.

 

Also, if you want to make sure you've done everything that's available in the mod, you can look at the content guide that should be in my signature.

Is it true that Divine Elegance can break this mod? Is it possible to combine them? The fact is that the outfits finally received the 3ba model, I just can’t pass by. The absence of 3ba is the only thing I did not use Divine Elegance costumes. They are very beautiful, and they can be distributed to NPS.

I have not tested them together myself, but release 15 should not have a problem. The problem that Divine Elegance caused was editing the same cell that I edited to help detect that you are approaching the shrine of Dibella on the road out of Markarth, but release 15 uses another way to detect that you're approaching that doesn't rely on editing the cell.

What a wonderful mod this is.

I was expecting only mechanics and then I started finding quests all over the world. And those quests are well thought, with many action paths and fun and complex (I think the quests here are way better than vanilla ones xD).

 

I was genuinely exploring the game once again, as if I had never played it (after maybe 8000 hours since 2014) until I got to the end of the Dibella's Temple questline and it suddenly stopped.

Then I remembered this mod is still a work in progress.

 

I'm really looking forward to updates to this mod. This may be the only mod I'm truly eager to see be updated.

 

Anyway, I have some a question about it and a suggestion.

 

At the end of the Dibella questline I got a marker saying that I should speak to Sassa to get work, but no dialogue about it is offered. Is it normal?

I've already done the bard job from her, by the way.

 

Are you planning to do radiant quests from her?

Watching how great you are at designing quests, I think this would be the first time I would see someone making good use of the radiant system (and that includes Bethesda themselves).

 

Also, a personal suggestion.

I don't know how many people has told you about it, but I've quite enjoyed the quick quests, like the Riverwood and Dragon's Bridge inns. Those are the quests that make me want to explore the world once again.

If you have more ideas on how to do those kind of quests, it would be awesome to see them.

 

Anyway, thanks for this mod.

I know I have showered many praises over it, but this is the first time in almost 10 years of playing this game that I've ever praise a mod like this.
