OK, I was just asking because disappearing NPCs has been a known issue with that mod in the past. Just out of curiosity, have you tried reloading your save while in there, maybe even a few times?

i cant seems to offer myself to corvus in the defiler quest, choosing the "Its better to offer that through the body of priestess" option doesnt do anything he only reply with "well, If i see priestess at the shrine next time i go ill consider that" and thats it the dialgue then back to the first dialogue wich is " you should stop ejaculating in dibella shrine"

Sounds like the problems others have had with mod conflicts. There's a known problem with Divine Elegance or any other mod that edits the area near the shrine. The workaround is to use the console.

This will skip the scene, but until I release a fix for this, the only other way to fix it is to uninstall the incompatible mod.

Prostitution is the center that the mod is built around, so if you don't want to do that then what this mod has to offer you will probably be limited. I do plan to make a quest line from the Riverwood quest, but that's most likely not going to be done any time soon. Hmm, I even find it hard to imagine how a PC could become Madam of Skyrim. Especially since PC would have to stay in one of the DG.... it just doesn't fit for me somehow....

Yes, several. There's TAPDibellasGardenFaction (xx00AA1D), TAPBenjenFaction (xx20AB22), TAPWhoreFaction (xx20AB20),  TAPTempleOfDibellaFaction (xx239474) for a start. There are many others, but those are the most common ones.

I wonder if you might consider, in some future update, to make the front rooms, the tavern-like areas of each brothel compatible with Skyrim's Got Talent. My prostitute character took the Dibella's Garden philosophy to heart and learned to be more cultured by becoming a bard. She enjoys playing her lute for the patrons while they are resting up for their next go at her or one of the other Dibella's Garden ladies. Skyrim's got talent recognizes some mod-added inns and taverns as places a bard can play and get tips at, so there must be some sort of flag that Skyrim's Got Talent recognizes that could be set in the tavern areas. What would really be cool would be if there was a Spellsong of Aphrodesia. Then she could help the clients rest up more rapidly, thereby making the brothel more money, but that would take collaboration. Just being able to play normal music and get tips at the brothels would be huge.

Which cities/areas have buildings modified by TAP that I should take a look at for compatibility issues?  I'm running all of the Cities of the North series, followed by The Great Cities and villages series, then Enhance Solitude, Capital City Whiterun, JK's Outskirts for Solitude, Windhelm, and Markarth.  I'd like to run to the TAP buildings to make sure I have access to them with all my mods.

Maybe check out the info for that mod as it totally separate? Just saying.

Or perhaps someone knowledgeable enough could make a TAP-Skyrim's Got Talent patch. Unfortunately, I am just not that smart.

I haven't personally used the mod, but if Skyrim Got Talent works with mod-added inns, it likely checks for Location LocType "keywords" and Innkeeper Job faction. While adding these words might seem straightforward, it could potentially lead to issues since TAP may identify the location as both a brothel and an inn simultaneously. As a result, you could face penalties for soliciting clients without permission from the "innkeeper," especially given the absence of a bed renting system. If this is indeed the case, a simple patch may not suffice; it might necessitate an alternative system or a complete overhaul.

 

Brothels are not Inns.

A little bit of sleep does wonders for my problem solving 😀.  I realized I could use xedit to write down the cell ids then console over there with COC.

 

I'm happy to report that none of the locations added by TAP interfere in anyway with my city and landscape overhauls.  Although, Rift's Rest is also nearby Riften, across the lake so I suppose it could be considered a rival brothel.  But there are no conflicts between the two so both can be run together.

 

Looking more into xedit though, Palaces and Castles Enhanced makes changes to beds that might interere with the quests "Political Favor" and "The Stallion of Markarth."  Something to keep in mind.

I made a patch for that, it's in this thread maybe two years ago. I do not use Palaces and Castles Enhanced anymore but it should work. It actually moves the scene to Sybille Stentor room (Falk's room is in a private cell that counts as trespassing).

Thank you for that.  Found it and picked it up.

 

If I may ask, what are you using now instead of Palaces and Castles Enhanced?  That mod has been such a staple in my load order I can't imagine playing without it.  Although I did spruce it up with JK's Castles and loved it.  I couldn't do the same to the Blue Palace or Castle Dour because the Blue Palace created a void to the abyss and Castle Dour had a 2d wall in the cellar that I couldn't get rid of.  Disabling it created holes in the floor and ceiling.

I can recall many reasons. I like the decorations and the baths I even added a auto-undress plugin with schedules for other npcs in Windhelm, but ultimately I came to the conclusion that it was an overkill in contrast with the rest of Skyrim. If you expand a place like that it needs to serve a purpose, in that case there is none. The mod would greatly benefit from simple quests or maybe hidden dungeons, but as it is, it feels full but empty and doesn't justify the fps drop and myriad of patches in my opinion. Working on it gave me the idea to add baths to the TAP Gardens and then Palaces and Castles became a bit pointless.

 

Sette tried to add occlusion planes to Solitude to help with the fps hit, but it's something hard to get right and they just f things up from certain angles.

 

I'm not saying the mod is bad but it certainly feels out of place for me. For example I have a Winterhold overhaul already done that suffers from the same problem. New npcs, new places and such but in the end there's nothing else to do there, just more TAP clients I guess...

I can take a look some time, but what xtrange988 said further up thread is basically right. There's a good chance that it's checking the location keywords and job factions for the NPCs.

I'm not so worried about my inability to distinguish between a brothel and an inn. After all, I could always check for things that have the keyword LocTypeInn that don't also have the keyword TAPLocTypeBrothel. But putting LocTypeInn on the brothels could make other mods think the brothels are inns, and that might have bad effects.

TAP is a large mod and is only going to get bigger. At some point, conflicts with other mods are just unavoidable and the only thing to be done about it is for someone who cares enough to make a patch.

The Dibella's Garden Whiterun and Dibella's garden Solitude are both outside their respective cities in the outskirts areas. Dibella's Garden Windhelm is in the port part of town where the ships are parked. After going through the gate to the port area you go down a staircase and as you're about to turn right there's a doorway in what would have been a wall originally. I like the location, don't know what's there with your mods. The Black  Briar Brothel is outside the city of Riften not far from the outdoor exit of Honeyside, just down the shore a bit and set back from the water's edge. I don't know if x, y, z coordinates would be the same across games, but if they were I could give you the coordinates of the doors to each brothel.

True, one would have to know how the two systems worked as far as identifiers. You can play and get tips at the bard's college itself, so there is apparently a way for non-inn areas to function for bards, but it's all over my head. It would take someone who was knowledgeable about how things work in both TAP and Skyrim's got Talent to make a workable patch.

There has to be a "sex okay" flag that is separate from any brothel tag, or it would not be an option to make public sex okay in Orc strongholds, And we know there must be a tips available here flag from the bard mod for places that are not inns like the bards college, so this might be doable with current flags if a person knew both mods. I suppose the solution that might be most likely and take the least amount of work is if Skyrim's Got Talent comes up with support for street musicians, and if that is the case a bard might be able to play anywhere there are people, including in the tavern-like front rooms of the brothels and still get tips along with the appreciation they get now.

At this point, we're all just speculating. The way that TAP distinguishes between orc strongholds and other locations for public sex is through the location type keywords that were discussed earlier.

 

Inns have LocTypeInn on them. Brothels have TAPLocTypeBrothel and also TAPLocTypeDGBrothel if they are a Dibella's Garden location. Orc strongholds have one, too. I don't remember what it is without looking it up, but it's probably something like LocTypeOrcStronghold.

 

It will be necessary to open up the got talent mod and look at how it decides whether you can play music before I could determine whether it would be something I could easily support or if someone would have to create a patch.

Thanks! Inns usually pay the bard, give her a free room and she gets tips, but I'm not really looking for that sweet a deal from the brothels. As a Dibella's Garden Lady, my character would be fine with just tips.  In the bards college you can get tips and only tips, and that would probably be more in keeping with what would seem reasonable for a prostitute bard in a brothel. If it doesn't look fairly easily doable, don't sweat it. As I said in another post, there has to be a reasonable chance that Skyrim's Got Talent will eventually add support to street musicians, so essentially a bard could play anywhere and get tips, hopefully including in the brothels.
