First time posting in here, but with much love for Ivy and her continued evolution.

 

My latest version of her - dressed a bit sexy, but still armored up and ready to kick all ass that gets in her way. I just adore her with green hair and gear for some reason...:)

It's pretty easy.   Console command:  slm <Ivy's NPC ID> 1    That'll bring up the character customization menu that you get at the game start or with the surgeon in Diamond City.

It's not part of the mod. It's just using Looksmenu and the SLM command to load presets you either created or downloaded.

Just walk to the root cellar in the back of Sanctuary and enter it, that should kick everything off.

Hey man,

 

Got it working now thanks for the help! I reinstalled the majority of my Mods and then when I went back to sanctuary the radio signal started up. Not sure where the conflict was but it's all good now :D

Haven't stopped by in awhile but with Xmas coming up - thought to myself to take a look: So, 6.0 is when I should start reading thoroughly if I understand correctly - this version will have the new VOA and most things 'complete' including DLC?

 

The DLC is really my main point, but if the new voice actress will be included, or added shortly after, I still don't mind waiting. I want this 'last' playthru to be as fun as possible. Played a lot of different 'builds' and would obviously create and follow a progression that best complements Ivy for this 'last time'. This is why I would take the time to study all the info pertinent to having Ivy as a companion. Thanks Reg.

So short question...

Is there any nerf available for Ivy's combat performance.

I won't use this mod if she keeps killing super mutants with her bare fists. Which would be a shame, I was really looking forward to playing this.

 

Also does anyone have experience with Ivy and other follower mods? Does Heather Casdin work together with her for example?

And what about Thuggysmurf's mods? Depravity, Project Valkyrie etc.

The blonde Valkyrie created for the mod is awesome but you know how it is. Some days you just want to be different. :)

This might be what you are looking for.

 

As for Thuggy's, Ivy doesn't have specific dialogue for them, but there are a lot of people who use Thuggy's mods pretty extensively with Ivy.

I tried to edit records in the esm but that didn't seem to make a difference.

Either most of her power is somehow script dependent or I did something wrong there.

Fuck me, I know why it didn't work. The Ivy beside me was a reference and I edited the base actor object. ^^

Maybe resetting her (recycleactor) would load the modified base object information into the reference? But I bet that will break the mod somehow.

You mean like using "placeatme"? Not sure about that, might be. I also know that Ivy is heavily governed by scripts.

 

But I know that the author is really good about answering questions.

Well yes, she is OP. But I thought you said something different about the Base and Ref (Like you ahd a 2nd ref) Don't ask me why I thought that.

God, I feel dense.

 

Sometimes companions say things that don't mean much. Things that aren't deeply insightful or otherwise have meaning beyond reminding you the companion is there. Not Ivy though. I'm on my most recent playthrough and suddenly realize Ivy's comments about having hardware failures and the increasing instability of her emotional subsystems aren't just colorful chatter. Oh no, its the direct result of meeting the sole survivor and the feelings she begins to develop for them. This is causing the issues that will eventually lead to a near total breakdown and the necessity to run Into the Deep to save her mind. 


Like I said, I'm feeling pretty dense at the moment. It does put an entirely different spin on the events to realize what's happening to Ivy is happening because of my Sole Survivor, 

 

And Ivy being OP seems relative to me. I've seen this discussed by others and not to doubt their experience but I tend to believe it has more to do with the build of the Sole Survivor and the individual play style. When I run stealth or melee builds Ivy seem incredibly OP but when I run gunslinger builds she seems just a touch weaker and slower than my sole. Personally I like the fact she pulls her weight in a firefight unlike that pretentious pain in the @ss reporter loitering in Diamond City. ;)

 

Personal mileage may vary of course.

Having an issue where the handcannon graphic is not showing. She still shoots and you can hear the shots but her grip is around an invisible gun.

What am I missing?
