What do the loading screens say? This sounds like maybe a mod conflict with a mod that removes vanilla loadscreens (I had some complaints from people that purposefully removed their loadscreens then became very angry at me for including them in my mods).

 

There are (1) load screens in the magazine plugin that show the magazines (optional). And (2) in the regular Ivy mod of which there is a 2% chance of a loading screen saying something about Ivy, so the content of the LS is important for me to know. If all else fails you can remove the loadscreens using fo4edit from CompanionIvy.esm as in the screenshot below, make sure to backup first before overwriting it.

So I finally got around to taking Ivy to Nuka World...was disappointed that she did not react to the Disciples. I have avoided spoilers for her, so I do not know if she even has content for the DLCs yet.

 

Still best mod I have in my build.

I've been running Ivy since the Insane days. Have run 5.3 in six different games no problems. Today, we went in the sewer and got the hypercombat tape. I loaded it and off course it needs a key. Usually Ivy immediately tells me to go find the key. She was so busy running her mouth that I couldn't get a word in edgewise, and now despite a green pip over her head, she responds to conversation as if the upgrade tape was never found. What can I do to fix this?

I don't think Ivy has idles or FOV (?) in Nuka World (or only a few) and certainly not in Project Valkyrie / Outcasts & Remnants, Fusion City. She does say she likes places though. Was in the raider nightclub (with prostitutes and nude dancers) and she said she liked that. LOL

Disclaimer for new users of this mod: Ivy is a cuckhold mod. She starts off with prostitution enabled by default and if you stop it by selecting it on her options, her first ever reply on "How do you feel between us" will always be that she misses her customers.

Even if you turn off her profanity and extreme profanity filters, she will still hit on Travis in front of you. She will say she loves you while doing those things. Now how to remove those:

In FO4edit, Quest, 00022A05 Confidence Man, press + and delete those comments she makes. (Unless you want your sexbot to throw herself at Travis through the questline).

Also scroll a bit further down and find 01019371 Dialog Topic, open it up by pressing the + icon again and delete the "I miss my customers" bit.

And done. Now Ivy will truly be exclusive to you.

*Edit 2: Confirmed it works and Ivy won't make those comments. Just make sure you clean your save with Fallrim tools save cleaner as there will be 8 unattached instances.

 

*Edit 3, start a new game, otherwise those changes will wreck your save.

Ivy will have DLC content in 6.0.

Try applying the holotape upgrade again. If she still doesn't react it might be best to load a save before that point.

I think i was to uninstall the other Ivy before installing the newer Ivy i now have 2 ivy's  so when 6.0 comes out  dose that mean i am going to have 3 ivy's Nora Sure dose love'em 2 ivy's

Nate dose two now 3 Ivy's at the same time  As of now i can   in my game 1 guy 4 chicks are  Nora with 4 others  Thanks to BP70

OK, I will try again.  What body mods are best for Ivy?  I WILL be using AAF or similar.  I have had a wee play with Fusion Girl's sliders, and prefer CBBE body sliders.  I have looked for animated genital add-ons for CBBE and have found some very nice updated genital slider addons, but none that are animation capable.  I assume (knowing that this is not good) that if I get the meshes right, the textures will follow suit.

 

It also looks as if giving Ivy 5.3 a completely standalone character should be relatively easy.  Her meshes are already in a separate location, just modify the nif files to point to a different folder for the textures.  (Unless there are scripts pointing to the textures?)

 

My searching is ongoing, but it would really help if some people would point me in the correct directions.  I REALLY want to have a setup that is 6.0 ready.  (And in time for my new graphics card.)

Not to spoil the fun of a frustrating search, lets just say its close enough to where you enter that you don't have to be there long, and its not where you normally look unless you really search all the nooks and crannys. Make sure Ivy is close by when you try to install the firmware update, and that she isn't trying to engage you in a conversation about something else. That will trigger the next step.

Hi Reginald; Just curiosity but what were you planning to do about Lil' Debbie's voice when you implement the new voice actress for Ivy?

 

On other issues; I personally don't have a problem with Ivy's prostitution or attraction to others as I think of her less as sexbot property and more as a free spirit the universe randomly threw the way of my sole survivor on the worst day of his life. That said, thanks for providing insight into how to make the modifications if I want to. I appreciate it on the same level I appreciate being able to alter Ivy's appearance or clothing if I desire, i.e. a use case was stipulated and accurate instructions were provided in a language I understand.  

And that is all I have to say about that.

I have taken a quick look in the documentation in your blog and find nothing about resetting Ivy other that doing a teleport.  I am using 5.3 and am encountering some oddities...  Like, Ivy not talking, (MIGHT be related to her having a comment to make) and sometimes not following.  I have done the 'disable' and 'enable' bit, but don't like that as she always ends up wearing her dress over whatever I have given her.  I will do a forced transport, but have never really had to do this in the past three versions.

I just started a fresh playtrough with Ivy 5.3 and i'm wondering if i'm missing something.

When you arrive in Diamond City for the first time, she asks me to find prostitutes or... to basically become her pimp. Is it possible to do said things with just this mod? If not, which mod i have to download in order to do so?

Also, when you ask her to tell you a story from her erotic personal experiences, she often tell a story that doesn't involve her directly. Ivy tells you about 2 or 3 raiders she had sex with and a couple lesbian experiences, even a super mutant story if i remember correctly. The rest of the stories she tells could be part of the random erotic tales she'll tell you if you select the other option.

Is it a bug? Or as i said before... am i missing something?

Sorry if these questions have already been answered to but i can't find it anywhere.

Not sure what would be going on. I've seen that behavior sometimes when people didn't properly uninstall the previous version when updating. It's important all vestiges of the old installations and versions are gone before activating 5.3.

Grabbed files from https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47690?tab=files (not preset) - now Ivy looks just like I wanted she would look like for me - sexier, a bit younger (a bit, not a lot) - skin, eyes... (cons - other femmes aren't :) - I'm using "wasteland heroines" 'cause it fits to my taste - now its not :) (Didn't change Ivy's preset except hairstyle) So... She shares base textures, tints, materials? I would like her to be unique. Or I'm just stupid and missing something?

XDI is a requirement for Just Business which can't be replaced by FDI (results in a missing master)... But there's a post here which describes how to use FO4Edit to fix Heather Casdin so she'll work with XDI, since she has the exact same kind of broken dialogue in her interface menu.

 

Could anyone make a similar guide for Ivy? The one for Heather lists a bunch of specific formID's, and I have no idea how to find their equivalents.

Just remove the XDI keywords from the JustBusiness esp and then finally do perform a Clean Master. After that you can uninstall XDI. Am running JustBusiness and Ivy in this way.
