You might be right

I have AFT but I've never had an issue running it with this mod. I'll try uninstalling it and seeing if that helps.

These 2 mods are known to conflict with Ivy. If I had to guess, AFT is over writing a dialogue option. In fact, I'd be willing to bet, you have been missing out on a very large amount of Ivy's content from the get-go, She has a custom dialogue framework and these mods alter it, and thus prevent you from accessing Ivy's options. and other dialogue menus. If you aren't far into your game, even if you are.....I'd consider starting over from where you got her.

What do you think of Ivy combat strength? Overpower or above normal.

As what i saw in trailer, teleport to enemy, run and hit seems very powerful.

It's configurable. You can disable it altogether or you can set the frequency she uses her abilities. Sure it's basically an instant kill. But it's not as balance breaking as it sounds. You just have to try it out and see.

thanks, i will try it out later.

Since i use BLD, so i was afraid she would just crazily finish all those enemy without a sweat.

I play as a sniper. So  for me, I've already killed a few mobs before she even engages in combat.  So I actually find myself wishing she could pick up the pace even more. But in situations where I lose the initiative, she does engage, She'll jump to the mob, kill it and jump back. But in truth, I'ts not really any more than a ranged attack that kills a mob. And she's not invulnerable. You do need to keep her stocked with Stims too. She's very strong. But, I don't find myself in situations where I can go make a sandwich and come back and she's handled everything.

Mm.. I keep getting updates that people posted in this topic, but when I visit it. I don't see any new replies. Weird. :D

You will get notification when someone posts a like to something, In the poster's Icon in the notification, you either see a green thumbs up or a quote.....probably others too, but those are the ones I see.

UPDATE ON COMPANION IVY 6.0 DEVELOPMENT

We are still working hard on making the 6th version of Ivy, voiced by KittenVox, a reality. But we're just not there yet in terms of release. I want to be open and 100% transparent in where we're at in the development. Recording is still going strong. But that's the first batch of recording. I am still working on Ivy's Nuka World quest, which will basically be the 'final' quest for Ivy in terms of her identity and the events that started with 'Into the Deep' (Ivy's first 'major' affinity quest).

I would like to tell you it's gonna be January, or February, but the reality is.. I don't know yet. We're still at that development point where the end at the light of the tunnel is too far away for us to be able to set a distinct date we can hold on to. I say 'WE' but that's basically just myself and Kittenvox. Where I'm working on quest content, and KittenVox is recording the voice for Ivy, both of us supported by the test team of 5 people (that's been with us since the release of 5.0, last year).

The Fallout4 modding scene has NOT met its ending in a long time and there's some really cool stuff to come for Ivy in 2021, the year which will see the definitive release of Ivy for Fallout 4. After 6.0 has been released there's still more content to come at the end of 2021:

- Ivy's Museum of Pornography (Addon / Workshop)

- Duplex Ex Machina (Working title for the Far Harbour DLC For Ivy - A standalone quest revolving Ivy and certain factions on the Island).

Great to hear progress is happening.  The new quests sound good, and a REAL VOICE!!!  Thanks for keeping us up to date. :D

Simple question. I use Start Me Up which changes the beginning and location of the game with potential multiple locations. Will this be an issue for Ivy?

No Idea.. I have thought about using that Mod, but, to get to the Institute you HAVE to use one of the 3 main groups to do so, which pisses me off.

Start me up has caused a number of issues for me. Ivy was not one of them. But that would be Ivy 4 and 5. The upcoming 6 comes with the announcement for a new game start, so it may have some changes in how you start your quest to find her , so honestly, I have no idea if there would be issues. But I'll say this. Start me up involves more than just bypassing the tutorial. It also attempts to rewrite your main quest so that you have the option of not being the Father of Father and you aren't hunting for your son. Even when I used the mod just for the early jump-start, it broke the Nuclear Family quest and wouldn't trigger the cinematic to end that quest. I've heard of other issues with it as well. I stopped using SMU and for reasons that have nothing to do with Ivy.

The fact that you can't use Nuka World factions to complete the MQ was a huge failure for FO4, IMO, and makes the idea of NW as a DLC, somewhat pointless. But that's just my opinion.

From testing, no. Her quest starts when you get close to sanctuary and find the W.I.V.S. radio signal. Haven't run into an issue with it yet.

There were a lot of problems with that regard when it comes to Nuka unfortunately. So much potential in that DLC was wasted, though a few mods have tried to up the game as it were.

In all fairness I would prefer to use the NW faction to beat the game rather than "Piss me off " Preston, Asshole BoS or Idiot RR..

How to stop her randomly hijacking my camera when she is not even my follower? Kinda breaks my game.

I think she wants to start a dialogue when in settlement for whatever reason and that takes away my controls and hijacks my camera.

Edit: I then have to press the "Change POV/Enter Workshop" key to see her and her dialogue options.
