fnkmstrrob Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 I gotta say, I LOVE this mod. She's freakin' hilarious specially when she geeks out when you find random porn mags. Oh, and the time she confronted Marcy Long. I laughed so hard. Cannot wait for the next iteration of Ivy. Congrats and big thanks to all involved in the making of this mod. Well done! Will the voice of Ivy be integrated in a quest? She seems to elude to it when I visited Greygarden. Perhaps we should start a new thread posting screengrabs of everyone's Looksmenued Ivy in their playthroughs?

I kept giggling until she said "Fuck this Shit" and then I felt bad. Then giggled again WAAAY too much emotional investment in a character 2
BigBadWolfCub Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 So there we were, in the middle of a feral pack when combat starts... Ivy - "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" Me - Laughing so hard I mis-throw my grenade And then waiting for my last save to load. I love this damn mod. 5
NearlyAllThere Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 I'm new to LL and I came specifically because I saw someone talking-up Ivy on a forum somewhere. So hello everyone. Holy Hana, Ivy is an amazing piece of work (and obsession, I'd guess). LL content is a bit off my normal path and Ivy can be "a bit" OTT sometimes, but to disable her profanity would be to lobotomize the poor girl and she's already been through so much. I got through the "mind" quest, so we're besties now. I'm out running around and I hear a mad Dalek screaming and laughed so hard that I forgot to shoot back and her hyper-murder spree was the only thing that saved me because I couldn't stop laughing long enough to aim. I'm not sure why it was so funny, she has had hundreds of other seriously funny moments, but that ONE line ripping through the quiet from right behind me in an otherwise mundane slaughter of a small group of unsuspecting raiders, just surprised the hell out of me. All the other "odd" personality blurts have all been notable but more like "uhh ... okaaaaay, it's just Ivy, nothing to see here folks, move along." But this one line just busted me up. I couldn't ask for a better thing on a locked-inside day. Anyway, I came here to say thank you to all involved with Ivy and show my appreciation for the love and hard work that must have gone into her. As an aside, I thought I'd mention (because I thought I saw a question earlier) that FO4 hotkeys work exactly as they should on Ivy and replace most of the same-functions provided by Ivy's various holotapes and "items" with a lot less pipboy clutter and the "FO4 hotkeys" are more flexible and convenient than stock FO4 favorite keys. Also, I noticed that looksmenu works perfectly as well. Is there a crowd favorite that "fits" Ivy? I felt that her standard appearance seemed at odds with her personality, but maybe it works for others just fine. I hesitate to use any of my staple faces, because that would rob Ivy of her uniqueness and remind me of the lesser companions which is also not fair to her. So thanks again for the dedication, and stay safe. 10

barghest666 Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 Doesn´t work... Tried everything... DLed the version 5.2 without mags, extracted to "Mods", nope... extracted to "Fallout4", nope, game directory (steamapps/common/Fallout 4), nope... copied the content of the "data" folder into the existing Fallout 4/ data folder.. nope... Followed the path exactly as in the video after each try, always loading from inside the vault before stepping out for the first time..., quest start doesn´t pop up, nothing inside the trapdoor gives a hint at the mod... in the start menu in Mods "no content found"... EDIT: I just realized that at least in the loading sequenz screen (mods menu in start menu) there are 2 files now: Order (top to bottom): 1. Companion Ivy.esm 2. Ivy Quest But the quest still doesn´t show up, no "pick up Ivy" or whatever EDIT 2: Seems like i have a general problem with mods... installed a few more, this time used Vortex... None of them seems to work... So if someone could tell at which point i´m too stupid, i´d appreciate it
Reginald_001 Posted April 24, 2020 Author Posted April 24, 2020 Sounds like you should just try installing it with a mod manager. Drag the 7zip file into it and it should install by itself.

S3xyY0da Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Feeling like I’m missing something. In her mind quest I’m to speak to Mercy. I do, we get through her introducing herself as Mercy and telling me about being a disgusting sex bot for pervs.... And then we just stare at each other. Unable to access Pip-Boy or do anything but “favorite” a stimpak. Soooo.... what now? Am I missing a step here? Screen shot is after multiple loaded saves, so the black face is nothing but my game tired of reloading....
S3xyY0da Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Well..... balls. I think it may have to do with the HyperCombat re-quest.... lemme try to finish that with console before I talk to Mercy.
barghest666 Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 well thanks for the answers guys... but yes, i have F4SE installed.. in fact i followed every instruction i could find here and on Nexus, as good as i could follow them... Why can´t things be as easy as Sims 4? :D I guess i´ll take a look at the videos... although getting a college degree in "Mod Installation" wasn´t one of my plans ;) Again, thanks for the responses

Download and install any one of the mod managers (I do recommend Vortex for beginners) and simply use that.

I have those exact jeans in the Sims 3 and as a 'high' waist option vs the many 'low-cuts' usually found. Hair is especially familiar between the 2 game engines as well. Apparently it's a lot easier to port content then create from scratch and given the excellent CC available - why not? BTW - Looking good! If you have those exact jeans it's strange because they are coming from a Vtaw mod and have been modified by myself to be used with heels, originals were made for boots, but jeans are jeans anyway !! This Ivy gear is made of 4 different sources modified by myself and mixed together, so you should not see the same anywhere as i did not made them available because i need to have the permission of the base authors firts even if i have modified them.

Sadly, not all authors get permission, especially when converting between games, But I have seen several variations on those - High waisted, with strategic rips/tears/holes on the legs. Even the texture is almost identical. So they might technically not be the exact conversions, but they sure got my attention. Who knows where the 'base author' got theirs.......

Reginald_001 Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 Ever wonder how Ivy sees the world? This should give you an idea (click to zoom in on details): 11
Doctor Steam Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I really like Ivy and I'm enjoying this quite a bit. Had computer issues requiring a new drive to fix - sad but it happens - so I get to start all over again but find myself having a great time despite what caused me to (re)start. That's mainly due to Ivy and I find myself paying closer attention to what she says and does. Not just the important things like the quests, though those are very interesting and engaging. Its those little things like walking into the ranger cabin between Vault 111 and Abernathy Farms to have her comment that we're now in the domain of Red Tourette. "How does Ivy know about Red Tourette." I ask myself. "Well," says my sole in response, "lets go ask this Red since Ivy isn't talking." Mayhem ensued and it was a ball. Also, and this might just be the random chance of events unfolding, Ivy seems to be markedly improved in combat performance. I am NOT complaining, just commenting. In the past she seemed not quite on par with my sole when I ran gunslingers/luck based character builds and I took the kill-everything-that-moves-then-put-a-round-in-the-skull-to-be-sure approach. Hey, it works especially when its a bunch of raiders or super mutants and you've got a combat shotgun. Anyway, in this particular play through Ivy is matching my sole almost shot for shot. I'm just fast enough to kill one raider and turn to the other when her bullet usually goes through their heads just like mine did to their first buddy. I kind of like that she's pulling her weight in combat. Nothing is more annoying that having a companion backing you up that isn't actually shooting at any of the things trying to kill and/or eat you. Not Ivy though. She's got my back like I still owe my half of the rent. That's enough quarantine chatter. Thanks again Reg. Ivy continues to raise the bar. 1
